This traditional, family-run hotel boasts a peaceful location on the northern outskirts of Passau, surrounded by the idyllic landscapes of the Bavarian Forest.
Score from 220 reviews Very good
In the center of the city of Passau, right on the banks of the Danube river, Pension Vicus is a quiet bed and breakfast. There is a parking lot available on the property.

Score from 58 reviews Very good
This 3-star apartment hotel in Neuhaus am Inn offers comfortably furnished accommodations. It is a 10-minute walk from the Austrian town of Schärding, on the other side of the Inn river.
Score from 496 reviews Good
The walks, the views, excellent for photographers, hikers, stargazers etc.
last two km little awkward if you meet oncoming traffic - one has to reverse.
The bedroom was so humid and musty that we had to sleep fully clothed and on the towels to stay dry and protect us a bit from the cold and damp of the beds. There was a musty smell, and old carpeting in the room. The room and bathroom seemed old and dirty, so we did not even feel comfortable taking showers. Breakfast was adequate, but we simply wanted to leave as fast as possible, and we simply could not enjoy the place because of the poor quality of the room and the high price. Internet was too weak to use in the rooms but the entrance had no where to sit if we needed to use the connection, so it was uncomfortable. Compared with other places we stayed during our trip, this was the lowest quality and highest priced.
Nice location for nature lovers and still not too far from Passau.
Difficult to find without GPS, especially in the dark. Wifi signal could be stronger.
We were there just for a one night sleep, but had we been there fore more days, we would have used the posibility of walking along the river and up on the hills.
I did not like to pass the last Sharp corner, I would have liked to be told that there were a place where the car could turn around before going Down to the hotel. It is very uneven where you turn and the road is very narrow.
Great out of the way place to stay with good restaurant for the evening. Lots of hiking / biking opportunities straight from the door.
No soap in the bathroom in our room.
Beautiful location in father forest by the river. Great place to walk around. Accommodation was good.
Wifi only available in the reception and dining areas, not in the rooms. The approach road is very narrow - take extreme care if driving in!
super quit location, perfect to start walks
breakfast was poor
Great location to unwind Excellent beer garden Good restaurant Good breakfast
Out of the way!
The location is good for hiking and biking, but it's pretty much out of the way. The breakfast was excellent, and the beer garden was nice.
We had to ask 2 people to get a bar of soap for our rooms. There was a couple talking quite loudly on the computer (skype, facetime?) during most of our dinner, and it kind of ruined the meal for us (and the other guests). We thought an employee should have asked them to go elsewhwere, or at least talk quietly.
Beautiful location, with lots of walks and interesting countryside.
A translation sheet for the menu would have been helpful. However, they may not get many English speaking guests, so may not be an issue, for them.
fairly near the city but feels like deep countryside.in a lovely river valley with lakes and forest.excellent hiking trails.quite large rooms with adequate facilities.onsite restaurant and bar were o.k. plenty of parking.
feels like a place that has given up trying.for example,no soap or glasses in room, and minimal effort at decoration.furnishings a bit dated.could be really excellent with some effort/t.l.c. access roads are very narrow for the last couple of kilometers.no english spoken.
