Score from 1290 reviews Good
good central location
bed, small room, staff cold, over-priced, over-rated
i loved the design and the feeling of being in an old hotel
the breakfast had no good coffee included...
The hotel is very clean, a lot of lovely details, very friendly employees, parking place near by, rental bikes, an is environmental friendly!
That they don't serve Nordic cuisine.
Typical for Danemark
The bed was so comfortable, it was amazing. I also loved the furniture, and the little touches such as a voucher if you opt out of room cleaning, the nice toiletries, the hotel dedicated newspaper and the fan.
although the hotel got good reviews, the main problem is that it does not have air conditioning because of the so called "green" agenda. Stay away if you are travelling in the summer!!!
The place was great, but it was unseasonably hot in Copenhagen...there was no air conditioning which would have made it much more comfortable.
Room very warm during summer and moisy as there is restaurant dowmstair The internet sucks and do not work properly
Love the mid-century decor. Close to central train stain and walking distance to shops. Excellent breakfasts and helpful staff. I would definitely come back. Thanks for a great stay.
loved the location and decore
no iron in room
Cramped room and bathroom
The staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the staff of the adjoining Vietnamese restaurant. The hotel is located on the southern edge of the old town, making everything easy to reach on foot.
What the Alexandra failed to advertise before we booked was that it is a green hotel and therefore has no air-conditioning. The few days we were there were exceedingly warm, the room overlooked Copenhagen's main boulevard, so no open windows at night. But the fan provided was good.
Excellent Hotel! Breakfast is perfect! Bed is very comfortable!
Great location Excellent staff - very friendly and accommodating
Rooms were small A/C not cool enough Shower had to be repaired during our stay
very nice lobby. Perfect located for visiting the city.
Great location! Central to all major tourist areas, staff were friendly. Rooms were large. Was a great stay!
Nothing, everything was great!
The staff was very personable and helpful. Great location! We enjoyed the bikes we rented...in good shape and fit my tall husband!
The room got a bit warm as the weather improved. Nothing awful, but I thought about what it would be like in warmer weather. Maybe there is A/C, don't know.
The hotel is located near to the central station, shopping area and amusement park!
Staff were very helpful, and pleasant - night staff have liberty to share a wine with guests - was nice to unwind and meet fellow guests. Location was amazing so close to Tivoli and Train Station Voucher if you don't use the maid = free wine on our last night!!
I was in a single room so it was pretty small, but that was to be expected. I found the room very warm in the afternoons, so the provision of a desk fan was good. I liked the fact that a kettle, tea and coffee were supplied. The wifi signal was good and the bed was comfortable, despite only being a single. The location was very good if you want to be close to Tivoli and the Central station. I'd stay here again as a solo traveller but would pay for a larger room next time as the singles are very 'cosy'!
I found it hard to make the room completely dark, as there was just a roller blind on the window. This was a bit of an issue given how light it is at night during June. Some 'block out' curtains would be great. The bathroom was prone to flooding, but that is typical for a Scandinavian hotel as they don't seem to have shower screens or a raised edge to stop water going everywhere. My advice is to put everything up high off the ground! In terms of value, I thought it was quite expensive, but then I was there during a peak weekend (the Distortion music Festival was on for 4 days) so room rates were likely at a premium. And you do get to enjoy all the lovely, original mid century pieces. Staff were very professional, if not a little impersonal but it was a busy weekend and there were some 'challenging' guests checking in!
Excellent breakfast. Modern, and clean hotel. Emphasis on Danish design. Friendly staff. Evening restaurant (Vietnamese?) was reasonably priced.
Bathroom was very small.
Noisy as near main thoroughfare.
The rooms are unique and fantastic - decorated entirely in Danish design furniture. But even though the furniture is a throw-back to the past, the rooms are entirely renovated, with lovely fresh linens, new paint and windows. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel has bikes for rent -- an excellent perk for exploring the city.
The bed was a little short (I am 6' -- 183cm) - perhaps a downside to all the fabulous vintage furniture.
breakfast is not good
