Beautiful Danish furniture, we enjoyed rounding off our evenings listening to jazz and drinking a glass of wine in the lobby.
Spacious, well designed, comfortable, clean. Great staff. Great location between main shopping street, tivoli gardens and historical points of interest. Stunning over the festive period.
Shower room was more of a wet room. Still good water pressure and temperature; would happily return.
My third visit to the hotel. Great location and the staff are lovely. Very friendly and welcoming. Will be my first choice of booking if I go back to Copenhagen again.
I liked the staff at reception, always willing to help, kind and informative. The hotel was charming, location very good and it had class. Designer furniture everywhere and our room was perfect for friends traveling together.
The breakfast was nice but could have been more tasty, and a better variety and quality of food. It was lacking in taste and the atmosphere was a bit cold in feeling. We did have it twice but on our third day we opted to have a light breakfast out. Food in Denmark is delicious so it surprised me the breakfast was just so so.
Great design! I did not drink the wine, but letting guests have a free glass of wine in the lobby is a nice gesture. I also like that, as it made guests make use of the lobby area, which made it more lively and welcoming than in other hotels.
Smell in bathroom
Excellent theme of the hotel in the way it reflected Danish design in the last 60 years.
A hotel with a distinct Danish personality in an excellent location. A very good standard 3-star hotel. Nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Good green credentials for environmentally concerned guests.
Bathroom is a bit on the small side but manageable.
The Vietnamese restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent.
The wifi was a little tempermental.
Staff, breakfast, location with many facilaities 9in the vacinity of the hotel. Very clean hotel.
- Too small bathroom. - Our double bed was two single beds connected to each other but they remain two single beds with seprate covers.
The location of the hotel is great and the room I had was also very nice. Overall I enjoyed the hotel and the city.
My business partners room was tiny and I was embarrassed I had reserved the room for him. The hotel staff was nice, but not very helpful. Not having a bar or actual restaurant was a little inconvenient.
Location, security, individuality, quiet
This hotel is akin to walking back in time with its beautiful ambience and furnishings. Wonderful Ercol furniture everywhere with everything spotlessly clean. Bags of character and very central. Would put a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels to shame with its original and personal approach to service.
Cozy and comfortable with brilliant attention to detail. A great choice.
During our 2 days stay the room was not cleaned. I am not sure if this was just a mistake, or the system.
Charming retro-atmosphere. Nice Vietnamese-style restaurant open until 22h00.
The taps (points of a star -shape) in the bathroom look nice, but are not very practical nor hygienic.
A voucher for not having room cleaned. Complimentary glass of wine
Our shower head didn't fit in the hook so had to hold the shower to use it. Shampoo was included but not conditioner.
We loved the location. Great staff with good tips. Comfortable bedrooms. Good shower. Great app with tips on Copenhagen. Nice lounge. Great bikes.
A nicely decorated, quiet room (456). I appreciated the kettle. Well located, close to the railway station. I walked everywhere.
No tea cups, though there was a possibility to make tea. Shower was a bit ridiculous.
This was our first time to Denmark, and Copenhagen. We wanted someplace centrally located and the uniqueness of the Alexandra was a real plus. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly and the fact that they all spoke English (perfectly I might add) was a real plus. We would absolutely stay there again.
We did not realize we could get a free breakfast next door until the last day. Also we only knew the restaurant as an Asian eatery, but the breakfast there was excellent and very continental.
Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Interesting and beautiful furniture and paintings
bed was too small for two average sized people. Bathroom was small and needed to be updated. The shower temperature depended on who was using either hot or cold water elsewhere in the building! And we were in a deluxe room....
everything, except the dancing on the other side of the street.
Dancing on the other side of the street was not so quiet as I hoped it would be..
If you like a non corporate, design classic, unusual experience then hotel Alexandra fits the bill. Lovely staff (but then everyone in Copenhagen is lovely) lovely furniture, prime location and good breakfasts.
We were offered a nightcap upon returning to hotel in the evening.
We liked it all.
The optional restaurant voucher in exchange for choosing no room cleaning. Free fruit in reception.
Lack of storage space in bedroom.
This was our 5th time at the Alexandra. The location is excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.
