We loved the location. Great staff with good tips. Comfortable bedrooms. Good shower. Great app with tips on Copenhagen. Nice lounge. Great bikes.
A nicely decorated, quiet room (456). I appreciated the kettle. Well located, close to the railway station. I walked everywhere.
No tea cups, though there was a possibility to make tea. Shower was a bit ridiculous.
This was our first time to Denmark, and Copenhagen. We wanted someplace centrally located and the uniqueness of the Alexandra was a real plus. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly and the fact that they all spoke English (perfectly I might add) was a real plus. We would absolutely stay there again.
We did not realize we could get a free breakfast next door until the last day. Also we only knew the restaurant as an Asian eatery, but the breakfast there was excellent and very continental.
Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Interesting and beautiful furniture and paintings
bed was too small for two average sized people. Bathroom was small and needed to be updated. The shower temperature depended on who was using either hot or cold water elsewhere in the building! And we were in a deluxe room....
everything, except the dancing on the other side of the street.
Dancing on the other side of the street was not so quiet as I hoped it would be..
If you like a non corporate, design classic, unusual experience then hotel Alexandra fits the bill. Lovely staff (but then everyone in Copenhagen is lovely) lovely furniture, prime location and good breakfasts.
We were offered a nightcap upon returning to hotel in the evening.
We liked it all.
The optional restaurant voucher in exchange for choosing no room cleaning. Free fruit in reception.
Lack of storage space in bedroom.
This was our 5th time at the Alexandra. The location is excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.
Staff really helpful, lovely breakfast, quiet room, thoughtful extras like umbrellas, computer and printer for guests use. Restaurant attached very reasonable and good food.
Location room comfort
Did not have a plug for bath tub and knob to turn on shower was very difficult
Great location within walking distance of restaurants, museums, shops, bars and train station. Clean and stylish rooms. Very comfortable bed. Efficient and friendly staff. Free wifi in room. Tea/coffee making facilities in room.
Had a poor nights sleep on the Saturday night due to traffic including lots of emergency vehicles' sirens, "hot rods", and a late night firework display. It's on a busy road in a city so noise should be expected and we did have our window open. A room at the back of the hotel would help overcome the noise.
The location was really very close to all the main places for visit, near the train station (3 minutes). Very good bed, enough place in the room for two people; the room is clear, there is teapot and teabags in the room so in the evening you can drink tea. There are bicycles and umbrellas you can use.
Too small bathroom - inconvenient to visit it after another person. There in no condition so it was a little bit cold when the weather is not pleasant. Only one English TV-channel.
central location, easy to reach by public transportation, good breakfast
Booked a single room. Generrally they are small. But this was a decent size. Modern. Good amenities. Even an ipod dock. Friendly staff. A bit expensive but then again so is everything in Copenhagen.
A convenient place to stay with very friendly staff. Comfortable beds, clean rooms. Good value for the amount paid. Can definitely recommend this place.
- styled vintage furniture - good sound proof (double doors) - hospitality from the staff
standart room a bit too small
We enjoyed our stay in Alexandra. We were given a room earlier than check in. Room was not big, but nice and clean. With the bath tub as we asked. Stuff was very nice and helpful. Location is just perfect. Everything in walking distance.
The location is right next to Copenhagen's biggest attractions as well as the drop off/pick up spots for tours. The staff were universally friendly and helpful. The room itself was immense and considering how expensive Denmark is I would have expected it to cost an awful lot more.
Some of the plug sockets didn't work! Barely a complaint at all though.
Good breakfast, danish interior, possibility to cancel the daily cleaning and change it foe a 100 Kr. coupon to be used at the restaurant
Location and accommodations. Decoration and style was really cool. I used their bikes all day and loved them. Everyone was nice. A great great hotel, highly recommendable.
Nothing really. Just try to have your breakfast included in your final reservation. Or wonder around for a good coffee place with danish pastries!
good central location
bed, small room, staff cold, over-priced, over-rated
i loved the design and the feeling of being in an old hotel
the breakfast had no good coffee included...
Their staff, especially April, were very helpful. All the rooms have a unique design and this is what I had enjoyed most during my stay.
Bathroom was a bit too small and they forgot to clean my room on my last day's stay.
The hotel is very clean, a lot of lovely details, very friendly employees, parking place near by, rental bikes, an is environmental friendly!
That they don't serve Nordic cuisine.
