The staff was really nice, every one of them. They were always smiling and was being very helpful. The design of the room was also nice. We stayed in a family room facing the street, but it was not noisy as we had requested. The neighborhood is nice with different types of restaurants. The gargen outside was fantastic too! Breakfast is a little bit different everyday! There were people singing Saturday morning to celebrate a festival. Really enjoyed our stay here! The room was not as clean on the second day as on the first day; they did not give us enough shampoo for us to use on the second day. It's a bit of walk from the metro station but there's a bus station nearby.

It was very nicely appointed. Location was good, about 1 mile from center of Copenhagen, but it was an easy walk (20 minutes) to the center or a much shorter walk to the Metro.

Only the staff was freindly. The room was small ( for amily ) , too noisy ( beside crowded anenue ) and also the bed for children was noisy as well. The first night was terrible and we were leaving the hotel but fortunately the reception girl changed our room to a new room on the back of hotel which was quiet and also bigger. Anyway we never select this hotel again.

Nice design that's a little different from the usual Danish 'look' and excellent staff. We enjoyed our time at the hotel very much. A little more soundproofing would be nice, but it was not too bad.

Friendly staff, comfy beds, nice atmosphere, stocked mini-bar is a bonus, and very comfortable large beds. It was still a pleasurable stay and very helpful and friendly staff. A great Hotel for longer stays in Copenhagen, yet for a wknd, when time is so important, I say splash put and go right in the city - such a fantastic city to explore!! Very close to Metro station, 2 stops from city. Overall a nice boutique style hotel. Was a little disappointed with our 'older' style room...obviously not one of the more glamorous ones the 'Mr and Mrs Smith website refers to. . Bathroom was the main let down, slightly mould ridden, tiny shower, yukky shower curtain and in need of an upgrade. I did see that there were nicer rooms, yet we managed to get an early check in, so perhaps this was out trade off. If you are not big walkers, or tired from a late night, or if there is wild weather (as were the case for us..) then the locaiton is a little far out of the city and we caught cabs quite often.

Friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere Just far enough out of the centre to make Taxis necessary, therefore, adding not insignificant cost to the weekend break

The staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent: ia. Fresh fruits and home made bread. Stylish and comfortable terrace in the back. The rooms were not so nice as in the hotel´s pictures, and the overall look of the room was a bit shabby and the bathroom floor and walls were in places coated with an orange layer of "something". The room was also small.

Breakfast was good and tasteful. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a bit outside the city center but the metro connection is comfortable. Bathroom was below average for this kind of hotel and the white carpet in the room was dirty.

Good value for money for a city hotel, clean, comfortable and staff very friendly. Would have liked to have had danish pastries for breakfast, but there was plenty of other choices! Not quite as central as I thought to the town (20-25 mins walk) but having said would stay at the Avenue again. Bedroom was of a good size (standard room) had luxury bedding. Bathroom had a walk in power shower, colour black and white. Elaine U.K

Our stay at Avenue Hotel was great. The staff were helpful and friendly, even the chef! The breakfast was amazing, and the terrace was simply a great relaxing zone. It was'nt that far from the city centre. The walk there was lovely, it does help that Copenhagen is probably the best city we have ever been to! Great weekend break!

Helpfullness of the staff, basic unadorned comfort, but great breakfast and bar service. It wasn't their fault that flooding took place which shut down their elevator service. They did offer to deliver luggage to the room and take it out for us again. No complaints.

This is a very nice hotel that is very convenient to the city, but not right in the middle of everything. It is a great place to stay if you have a car since parking is secure and much less expensive than closer to city center. The patio was great for breakfast or having a drink outside.

Hotel was clean and comfortable with a very friendly and helpful staff who really seemed to enjoy working there. It is an old building, but fairly recently renovated and with a nice eye for design. Breakfasts are special. The breads and jams are made in their kitchen and and chef made a point of including something special and different each morning. One morning we had pureed blueberries served in shot glasses. Several mornings there was a fresh orange and almond relish. Blanched asparagus appeared one morning. The hotel is not inexpensive, but less costly than other comparable hotels in Copenhagen. It's a bit out of the way, but only 250 M. from a metro stop (Forum Station) and the #2a bus which runs every six minutes to and through the center city. The hotel fronts on a very busy street. We followed the advice of another posting and asked for a room at the back.

I stayed at this hotel for one night for a short business trip. Hotel is situated at a busy road. I had a room at the backside at the hotel, which is quiet. Hotel is near the metro station and the city centre. Staff is friendly.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful lounge area in lobby and very nice buffet breakfast included. Room clean but carpets and upolstery could have used a good cleaning as they showed many stains. Unfortunately detracted from an otherwise excellent hotel.

“The hotel is charming and has a warm feel to it, like your back in time 200 years in Nordic history .The room is nice, though a bit dark ( small windows because its an old building) but thats no problem. The room is clean. Breakfast is ok, a nice choice of food, with nice view of the water. The location is perfect for the harbour ( eating lunch outside!) and shopping. It is away of the noise but close to the city centre. Copenhagen is a charming city, well worth a visit!” Ronald, Heerhugowaard |
