One of the best buffet breakfasts we've ever had. beautifully presented. Very comfortable, stylish rooms with lovely bed, linen and bathroom. The staff were very pleasant, professional and helpful.
pleasant helpful staff good breakfast easy walk to city centre quiet room away from street noise relaxing lounge /bar
dinner-takeaway from nearby restaurants available but basic such as sushi, pizza, thai and expensive Room not available when we arrived in the afternoon because they didn't have our Booking.com booking and it was a very full house. They did offer us a free drink while they tried to find us a room which they finally did, but it was very small.
The staff were head and shoulders above the similar experiences we've had so far ...
The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere, especially in the bar and terrace is great and for the most part it's stylish and elegant.
The Danes like plumbing from last millennium, and the bathrooms here are basic, but functional, not what I expect from a boutique hotel and they jar with the rest of the style. My other gripes are no power outlets in the room without unplugging lights, lighting that was pretty useless until you worked it out and no water or glasses in the room, a plastic beaker and sink water is not right in a decent hotel.
The room was very nice. The location of the hotel was fine, easy to walk around (to the lakes or Tivoli, for example). No other noise but traffic.
Our room was facing the street, so the traffic was rather noisy during the morning rush hours (but no problem during the weekend).
Noisy at times, and could hear a lot of noise and banging doors at times when trying to rest. Some of the staff were rather unfriendly. The hotel had a lot going for it but is a bit scruffy (e.g. paint work scruffed off doors and walls) which let it down
Room 108 huge and beautiful period features; cosy lounge area; fabulous breakfast; very helpful staff; bus to city center very close by; outdoor garden area very nice.
not too many restaurants nearby but we dined in the Greek which was very good and reasonable.
Very nice room, excellent breakfast, comfortable public area.
The whole experience was very positive and the front desk staff were extremely accommodating.
There was nothing we didn't like.
We had a very comfortable big room overlooking the courtyard. Reception helpful and young and enthusiastic. The bed was very comfortable, lovely cotton sheets changed every day. The breakfast was plentiful and OK , not delicious but certainly enough. The downstairs lounge was welcoming plenty of room if you wanted to sit and read and plan your day.
It was further from the centre than indicated and the buses are not that frequent. We had to allow at least 20-25 minutes travelling to get to the centre museums, shops etc. There were not many good cafes and restaurants really near again we had to travel…Otherwise it was a really nice hotel.
This hotel was a pleasure to stay at, breakfast best ever, staff top rated, beds very comfortable, bus over the street into the city.
Great staff, spacious comfortable room. Nice breakfast.
slightly out of town, not much
Nice hotel near to Forum Metro Station. Open buffet breakfast with a lot of alternatives. Helpful and kind staff.
Very small bathroom
The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good variety.
Distance from city center especially when you have an elderly family member, otherwise you can walk it in about 20mins.
The staff, great European style breakfast, character of the hotel, pleasant lobby atmosphere, convenient location for Metro, good location for visiting the main tourist sights of Copenhagen.
No place is perfect, but I can't think of anything worth mentioning here.
Second room was very quiet and comfortable because it did not front on the very busy street in front of the hotel. Our first room was on the front of the hotel and was very noisy making sleep difficult. The breakfast was excellent, and the main floor and bar area was very nice and comfortable The Staff was very good, and helped us in any way they could, especially finding us another room. General atmosphere very pleasant.
Rooms on the front of the building opening on the busy street too noisy for good sleep. If one keeps windows shut, rooms have no air circulation. The bathrooms are very strange - small and cramped, with a shelf over the sink which is a real "head knocker" if you are not very careful. Virtually no shelf space, nor any other kind of space, for the normal toiletries one carries. Quite a long walk to the attractions of Copenhagen. Some areas easily reached by public transportation. Dining in the immediate area very limited.
Very nice breakfast, friendly and efficient staff, lovely decor.
Everything was great
The entrance id quite nice and taken care off. The area is good with an easy reach to city center
The building is old with small corridors, you can think this is cosy or you can think this just old and a hassle. Main critic is around calling the room Boutique and find out there is an old white early 70ties bathroom with a mini shower with many tiles broken which gives it a dirty look and feel. For that price it is definately not worth it.
Cute hotel, small but comfortable room. No AC, but this is not needed most of the time. 15-minute walk from the center, very close to the airport my metro.
Attitude of staff Breakfast Communal spaces
Warm reception from staff who were very helpful. Very cool interior with nice comfy chairs in the bar. The hotel is really close to the metro station and only a 15 minute walk or so to the centre. Would recommend!
It was a little bit noisy because of the traffic so we decided to keep the window closed but it meant it was quite warm. I had read about this on another website though so was armed with ear plugs and it was actually fine.
The noise levels at night were truly horrendous, the bar across the street was playing loud euro pop until four in the morning , and every beat was heard, I would suggest that until the soundproofing problem with this hotel is addressed it should be avoided . Form should follow function , but in this case the good design it totally undermined by the unacceptable noise. To be avoided
The comfort was excellent : the room was big, the bed perfect and the lobby with the hotel living room was a real plus. The staff is very nice and everything was easy. The breakfast is also great. It is also real nice to have the possibility to rent a bike, and their bikes are perfect.
The location is not the best, but it was ok as the city is not so big. Unfortunately, there was a party in the bar on the avenue. It can be a little noisy. Ask for a room on the garden side.
Friendly personnel, nice breakfast
old rooms, dirty fitted carpet, not a boutique hotel. Charged credit card with 800 kr for losing the key (yes, they still had the traditional ones) without prior notice. Completely unacceptable. All in all, very unpleasent experience.
