everything was great, free coffe and tee, free organic apples an bananas, beautiful rooms, perfect location and very nice people! The organic philosophy of the hotel is really great! absolutely no negative points to make! highly recommended
Everything! Friendly, serviceminded, charming staff. The interior!!! The art. The carpets. The rooms. The breakfast! The backyard! Love it!

We loved the relaxed, friendly atmosphere, staff and the beautifully understated Balinese decor. Lovely clean room with four-poster bed. Very quiet even though the room faced the street. Amazing organic breakfast buffet.
Nothing really, though worth being aware that the area is a bit "edgy". No hassle, but some might feel uncomfortable taking a wrong turn on the way home at night.
Decor is great - chilled out bar area near reception and the location of the hotel.
Unfriendly staff who won't assist with any query, poorly assembled beds, no room service or tea/coffee making facilities and very expensive food considering the quality.
Beds were extremely comfortable, Decor was nice, makes a change to the usual hotel style. Great location and friendly helpful staff on reception. Hired the hotels bikes this was very easy and great value.
After upgrading to a superior room We were given a room on the ground floor the noise from the bar disturbed us and we could hear every one that walked down the stairs. The room was a bit pokey with no view. Staff in the restaurant were very unhelpful.
Welcoming, cosy, thoughtfully designed, great atmosphere.
I loved the decor of the room, with the four poster bed, the quality of materials that made it feel cozy and not "plain" like most hotels I stay. Warm floor tiles in the bathroom were nice too. Excellent location to Central Station and the centre of town.
Very attractive and sizeable room, well decorated. A short walk to the cbd, Tivoli Gardens and close to the train station. Very nice lounge areas around the bar. Close to some good restaurants and bars. Comfortable bed.
Only had a European style hand held shower over the bath, so people used to showers may find this inconvenient. &Quot;Sustainable" cotton towels are provided which do not absorb water effectively meaning we needed to replace the towels every day rather than re-use them, which is not so sustainable overall. No air conditioning in the room meant that it got a bit warm at night. Breakfasts are expensive and not that impressive so we ate out for most of the time we were there. The hotel is opposite a nearby strip club but we did not experience any problems in the area. Some additional help from the hotel staff to work out bus routes would be helpful. Buses seem to be the best way to travel quickly across town but we only worked out how to use them late in our stay.
Booking.com got the type of room wrong and booked me into a room a level bellow the one I ordered on line. When I arrived at the hotel I realised this and tried to upgrade (for extra money) to the type of room I had booked with you, it was sold out.
Our room was cozy, quiet, and very comfortable. Especially enjoyed the walk in shower and heated bathroom floor. We were very happy with the staff who were always pleasant and helpful. We were not happy with the food we were served from the organic cafe! Two sandwiches with no accompaniment, which were inedible, and two glasses of mediocre wine for 40 Euros. After we commented on our dissatisfaction, there was no offer to remove the charge, or even a part of the charge, from our bill.
See above comments.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel is excellent and a very comfortable inviting enviroment to spend time in. Room was good but would advise going for a larger than standard room. We had a superior double but it was still relatively tight for two friends travelling together.
Little to complain about. Rooms can be slightly loud with outside noise but you're in teh heart of the city so it's to be expected.
Close to the train station. Nice personel.
Friendly staff and comfortable lobby. Very nice room. Free finger food at the bar! Sauna, not free but worth it if you stay a few days. Eco touch. Close to train station and close to a nice canal to walk or jog.
Train station area is not the nicest in Copenhagen, but it's practical.
The concept and the people
The internet on the 4th floor could have been better
Couldn't sleep as vet noisy road, Garbage collectors from 5.30 am and noisy road. Hotel nice but disappointed with noise levels
Foyer area - staff - bathrooms - towels and toiletries - garden area - everything was absolutely amazing
beds narrow but adored everything else!
2 Minutes walk from the train station. Staff was really friendly. The lobby is really cozy and the WiFi has good connection there. The rooms are good in size with comfortable beds. I would recommend.
Horrible Wifi connection in room. Didn't enjoy the feel of their towels (not soft).
We enjoyed the spa - well worth the extra money. Liked the organic tea & coffee available 24/7. Great bathtub & shower - nice big bathroom. Balcony was nice for some fresh air & windows can be opened. No sofa in the room this time which we missed but we had a better bathroom this stay so swings & roundabouts - all the rooms are different.
Nothing - we will be back!
very friendly, eye for detail, full of surprises
good wifi is so important in any hotel or motel... if not you are loosing hours waiting just for a webpage to open... but sure the mgt will correct this after reading this review ;)
friendly and cosy reception area with lounge, bar and organic restaurant
bathtub was most uncomfortable and unpractical, no shelves in bathroom to deposit anything.
I really enjoyed the service from the nice people working at Axel. The breakfast was really good :) And it was cosy sitting in the backyard in the evening.
The room was quite warm and if one wants to have the windows open at night there can be sine disturbans from "partypeople" .
Fantastic staff, courteous, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is located behind the central train station and in a new trendy Copenhagen neighborhood. Beautiful yet cozy lobby and bar.
While the room's Eco-theme furnishings give the hotel a boutique feel, the furnishings take up valuable real estate in the bathroom, i.e. the sink and towel rack. Also, the egg shaped tub and shower curtain is not designed well for showers; water will spill everywhere. Visible mold on some of the floor tile grout is a result of this poor design. Finally the bed mattress could use some refreshing.
Excellent service, friendly staff, nice rooms, wonderful breakfast - this is really a place to recommend!
The comfort of my bed and room was great, reaching Denmark with food poisoning meant staying in the room for a while... and I can't complain about the comfort of my bed and room, it was helpful. Also staff are great help & very patient with me being English!
The bathroom wasn't the same one in the pictures online, it was much smaller. I would rate the location of the place poor based on the fact that hookers, strip clubs, sex stores etc rule the street and surrounding blocks & woke me up in the middle of the night! However the location is very central, therefore I rated fair.
We stayed here for a long weekend and it was fantastic. A very modern, good looking hotel and relaxing. The bedroom was clean, accurate I description, bed was incredibly comfy. The service was impeccable, Michael who works behind reception/the bar was friendly, polite, helpful and recommended an amazing restaurant to go. Wifi was strong throughout the whole hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.
