Hotel has lovely atmosphere. Laid back and slightly bohemian. Very friendly staff.

Eco lovers spa paradise Very impressed by the eco design and friendliness of this hotel, they did really well, everything was spotlessly clean, room a great size for the weekend and let in a lot of light. The staff also made sure there was an ice bucket and chapagne glasses as I requested on arrival which was brilliant considering we asked the night before to check in early which they did. Mattress very comfy although for me the pillows a little soft but the staff bend over backwards to make you feel at home and cared for so I'm sure if I'd asked they'd have given me a different/more pillows. The restaurant is fantastic, I find it hard being wheat intolerant to find breakfast that I can get stuck into, this was heaven. Self service as much as you need, variety, and freshness were on point, the pitch is literally in view and fresh eggs, bacon etc were flowing. Fresh fruits, yoghurt and my new favourite honey with almonds! The kitchen does close but has tea and coffee available to take to your room 24 hrs, and the reception is available 24hrs too. I don't have a bad word to say and if you love food, I mean love food your 5 minutes walk away from the Meatpacking District of Denmark, a food lovers paradise! Please try Pate Pate, Mother Pizza, I had a great salad but envied every slice of my mans thin base, extra toppings, melted cheese pizza heaven! Last but not least Kodbyens Fiskebar. I have no words to describe this place but if your in Denmark even if its for 5 minutes get yourself to this restaurant... Your mouth will never feel the same about fish, it's actually like completely forgetting you have a life and accepting you've just arrived in food heaven. Once you start eating..... Nothing else matters! Then you're a 5 minute stroll home to Axel hotel...PERFECT!!! Naomi xxx

noise from street bit disturbing as the hotel is within red light district and there is a striptease bar on opposite side of the hotel on the same street breakfast was good but the breakfast room is too small and thus all the time overbooked

The staff were all exceptionally nice and helpful. I love the eco products and the decor. The lobby was lively in the evening. I also loved the back patio with the fire pit as a little urban escape.

The asian rugs are nice, but they get caught on rolling luggage and the desk chair. My room was so tiny I could barely move. Sitting at the desk was not at all comfortable (and I needed a space to work), and to get past the desk I would have to push the chair all the way in. There wasn't much counter space in the bathroom, and the shower experience was totally frustrating, because the water temperature would go from scalding to icy with no in between.

Very nice breakfast, lots of healthy bread, granola/musli with youghurt, juice, scrambled eggs, fruit and coffee/tea. Feels home-made!

Staff multi lingual. Heated bathroom floor, loved the oraganic breakfast spread, good location, quite and cosy rooms.

Small bathroom including toilet, towels not like one is used to but more or less some cotton sheets...There is a charge of 295 kr per stay per person for the use of the sauna area - this is not mentioned when you book, photos of the property show the sauna etc but one can't use it. Also the photos show kimonos in the room which are not provided - one can only purchase them. I think this should definitly be changed when you book on booking.com it is misleading

Wooden furniture, organic bathproducts, breakfast, young-spirit and relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. And very-very comfortable bed, I slept like a baby.

Rather small rooms, we didn't have slippers and bathrobes. On the same street there are strip-club and sex shop, but they doesn't bother.

Friendly and efficient staff, excellent ambience, well thought-out furnishings and really excellent breakfast. All-in-all a very relaxing stay and I would certainly iam to stay here again thenext time I am in Copenhagen.
