In a heritage-listed 1780s building, this waterfront hotel is next to Amalienborg Royal Palace and across from Copenhagen Opera House.
Score from 2322 reviews Very good
everything, but above all the style and the atmosphere. After many years this is my first and only choice in copenhagen (well, I alsways go to the Kongens Nytorv area so that makes also geographic sense; there certainly are good hotels in other parts of the city too).
Nothing, but I do recommend a larger room. Simply more cosy.
Excellent, central location. Very friendly an helpful staff and nice breakfast.
Bathroom a little small
Location. Staff. Breakfast. Room.
Quite noisy at night and with no air conditioning window needs to be kept open - but this applies to most hotels in Copenhagen.
Fantastic staff Fantastic breakfast Great location
Shower a bit small
Excellent customer service by front desk staff Good breakfast
In summertime, it was a little too stuffy and hot. However, this was our experience in nearly all hotels throughout Scandinavia. regardless of the price.
breakfast excellent quality. staff much friendlier 2nd time around. room bigger,tv swizzled allowing chair and settee to be used excellent location for exploring on foot and eating out.
room first night's stay was pokey-was supposedly a superior room-unable to move tv so couldn't see from where chairs were-told to sit on bed!! we complained so 2nd stay (after cruise) much better.twin rooms are always inferior to double room but same price.why? 2nd room could have benefited from a lamp near settee as very gloomy and difficult to see to read. very stuffy even with windows wide open.
Location excellent and staff helpful
Rooms small (even superior ones) Single beds even smaller Bathroom tiny Shower poor and didn't really work at all until I had descaled the shower head Room was stuffy poor ventilation no aircon . Had to leave window open all night- rain and thunderstorm very much a part of the experience ! Very expensive for a 3 star hotel
Very good hotel near lively Nyhaven canal area.close to buses and metro, which also goes to airport .Comfortable room , but not very big.Very good buffet breakfast in spacious, bright lounge area.Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Quite expensive, but everything is in Copenhagen. Rooms and bathroom not very big.
Staff was very helpful. Good location.
Room was very small.
That I was upgraded.
Room was very basic No fridge No coffee making facilities No air condition
No doubt , the main advantage of the hotel is the great location just two blocks away from fantastic Nyhavn and only 5 min to the metro stop that takes you to the airport. Its other strong point is the delicious breakfast- variety and very good quality products. Well, the rooms are rather smallish and modest but they are functional. The reception staff were all really friendly and nice.
The absence of air conditioning during these hot summer months is a disadvantage.
Breakfast buffet is very good. Free wifi and location are also major draws.
No A/C and no mini bar in the room.
The friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent. Location is excellent for walking into the city.
We had a superior room, but the shower was really too small, and we're both relatively small people. A large person would struggle to use it.
Location (close to main landmarks and the metro), staff and the service, breakfast, room; pretty much everything.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, many sights and plenty of restaurants are very close.
Room was very small, not very comfortable mattress
bike wasnt available and had to tell and pay it beforehand to pick one everytime, go for other rentals which are close by to hotel.
The location was great - you just may look at the map. Had no issues with parking on the street 100m before the hotel. Of course it depends on time/season. 18 DKK or 2.4 EUR per hour from 8:00 to 18:00 is normal for the parking in the city center. We booked 5 different rooms from 995 to 1295 DKK - that 5 only were available for 29 jul 2014. Some rooms were small - but that's true for all hotels in the center with that prices. All 5 guests were happy. The reception was very hospitable, many thanks for the assistance with our boarding pass! The hotel is highly recommended to stay several days any season if you explore the city.
I didn't like the omelette at breakfast. Actually it didn't affect my good impression.
No air conditioning. Expensive (but this is Copenhagen for you). Very small and inconvenient shower stall. Very poor breakfast choice and quality even compared to some other Best Western Hotels
On foot or by bike, enjoy the many waterways, great design shops and the fabulous ice creams( Sicilian Is on Christianhaven is the best)
Staff were very friendly and helpful Great breakfast Really good location
No air con. in room and it was very hot whilst we were there although a fan was provided which helped a bit
This was a recommended BW Hotel and didn't disappoint. Like all capital city centre hotels it was not cheap, and Copenhagen is an expensive city. Small, niche, comfortable and with great staff and services, incl. luggage keep, special taxi rates etc it was a pleasure to stay here for a couple of nights.
That would be picky.
Proximity to all tourist attractions and the old quarters along the canal.
Wifi was very poor if non existent.
Unusual bathroom. Very noisy at night.
