First Hotel ØsterportOslo Plads 5, Indre Østerbro, 2100 Copenhagen (Show map) Review score 6.6 Score from 280 reviews“The receptionists were very friendly, ready to help me print and to find things in Copenhagen. Due to comments about the noise from passing trains, I took a room on the side of the hotel away from the train tracks, and there the noise was no problem at all. Magnificent breakfast buffet!”

We have ordered a double bed room, but we were given a twin room instead. Also, the hotel is located just next to the railway, it is very noisy all day. The hotel staff said that the train services would stop between 11 pm to 6 am. However, we could still hear the noise from train past by at 2 am. The staff was dishonest on the noise problem. The room did not has any mini bar. There is only a self-serviced coffee machine at the front door of the hotel. No Kettle in room, poor wireless internet, only occupied for one device at one time.

It was really easy to get to, across from a train station on the line which connects with the airport, and about 15-20 minute walk into the main pedestrian part of town. The hotel is right next to the train tracks but we didn't find the noise of the trains annoying at all, definatly not at night. There was no kettle in the room, however, in the lobby you could get coffees/tea at no charge if you are staying at the hotel.

Location is excellent with many places within easy walking distance. Facilities are sparse but completely adequate, particularly for a brief business trip. Bed was quite exceptionally comfortable so a good night's sleep is no problem. Breakfast was generous and good quality, with a wide selection of different food on offer. The bar was reasonable priced and pleasant. Overall, the prices are very reasonable for central Copenhagen. Only local/German television available. There is no cnn, bbc World, Bloomberg, Sky News or other international stations available. This is a problem if you like to stay in touch. It is right next to a railway station, built parallel to the railway lines. Noise is not a problem at all, it is well insulated, but it does mean that there are no views at all out of the windows except for railway carriages. Fascinating if you have an interest in graffitti.

Spacious and comfortable rooms with free wi-fi connection available. Rich breakfast buffet. Friendly and willing to help staff. All this at one of the lowest rates in town. Unfortunately quite noisy because of its location just beside the railway. Ear plugs are provided freely in e ach room, but trains passing by trhough the Osterport station make the building vibrate vigorously.

It's a nice Hotel to stay a night or two. Maoney for value is very good for quite expensive city like Copenhagen. Some visitors complained about the noise from the nerby rail tracks. Personally I had no problems with that.

My first concern was when I entered the room and there were complementary earplugs provided - then the room rattled as the first train passed within a few metres of my room. This continued through thr day and night every few minutes...

Very friendly and helpful staff - I asked to look at some rooms and this was no problem. Breakfast is good and not a bad price for Copenhagen, nice to have free coffee and tea in reception Only thing I could comment is that this is a hotel right on the railways lines and the railways 'side' is not as noisy as advertised. Actually, if you like trains, as we do, is nice to site and watch from your hotel room. So what the complaint? Reception initially sold me a change to the 'quiet' side which proved to be a dark and more 'old fashioned' interior and with the most depressing view from the single window... Give me the railway side anytime in preference. The only time you feel the train going by is the train to Helsingør....i can live with that...

The hotel is only 20 meters from osterport station. Only 20 minutes from airport and 5/10 minutes from city center. Room was very clean and receptionist staffs were very friendly and helpfull. The proximity to the station slightly makes the noisy rooms to the passage of the numerous trains. Bearable. They had me to them 50 Euros to title of security not just arrivals in the hotel for possible damages in the room. Booking didn't point out this on the site. However they warded off euros during the check out.

Great value for money, particularly for regulars with the Nordic Choice Club. The superior rooms face away from the railway line and do not suffer the noise and vibration. The breakfast buffet comprises a wide selection of cold and hot delicacies. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Location opposite Osterport station makes it easy to reach from the airport - train (not metro). The standard rooms overlook the railway line and suffer noise and vibration but it is relatively quiet overnight and I slept well. I did complain when the radiator did not work and was offered another room. The hotel has a bar but no food other than breakfast.

The hotel is very well located, next to a train station and along a main road. It is easy to get to and is a good starting point for exploartion in any direction. The hotel had some works going on on one of the floors and from 7am I could here drills and other very loud noises which disrupted my sleep every day!
