Copenhagen Admiral HotelToldbodgade 24-28, 1253 Copenhagen (Show map) Very good, Score from 1470 reviews“The hotel is charming and has a warm feel to it, like your back in time 200 years in Nordic history .The room is nice, though a bit dark ( small windows because its an old building) but thats no problem. The room is clean. Breakfast is ok, a nice choice of food, with nice view of the water.”

The room was pretty great and so was the view from our room. We had the Opera house in full view. The beds were pretty comfortable. Breakfast was 135 Kroners per person and there was a wide selection of food. The hotel looks amazing from the outside at night so that's pretty good for pictures, especially with the opera house in the background. As far as travelling is concerned, there is a Metro station about 5 minutes away and there are bus stops less than a minute away. This hotel is located very near Nyhavn, which is a road filled with market stalls and restaurants. This isn't exactly really the most expensive hotel in the world, but you'd figure that for the price you're paying, you'd get certain things included. This hotel charges a really steep price for wireless internet, and you have to purchase your toothbrush from a vending machine on the ground floor.

The link to the Danish history of sailing - the atmosphere is just there. It is just in the centre of this most beautiful capital of all. If I should do justice to this place - Admiral Hotel - I would have to write a book - and I have not the time to write a book. There is nothing I don't like about this hotel

Location is good and charming building, reception staff is really nice and helpful, further the harbor view is nice. Room is pretty good and cosy. Housekeeping was really poor, reason for poor review in general, Had complaints on housekeeping every day. Lobby bar service was equally poor. No Gym is really a problem with this hotel. Further hotel parking sold to private parking company and therefore controlled by super aggressive q park - prepare for a p ticket and high p cost.

The location was excellent and the massage therapists were very good The restaurant dinner at salt was very dissapointing. It tried to be sophisticated, but ended up unedible and tasteless. I suppose it was because they had a large private party that night. I would not eat there again. Breakfast was acceptable. Our room was very noisy as it was right over the main entrance and there were taxis coming and going and drivers talking. We could not leave open our window. The volume of the tv was not loud enough to hear over them with the window open. I felt the price of the stay of one night did not match the value of the experience.

We could check-in fluently, and our room was immediately available though we arrived a couple of hours before the normal check-in time. Our room was spacious with a good view towards the channel, opera house and playhouse. Hotel's SALT restaurant is excellent. There are good transportation options, too: two busroutes start right from the vicinity, one (29) to the Town Hall Square and the Railway station, and the other (65E), for example to Fisketorvs new shopping mall. And metro from Kongens Nytorv is not far away.

After reading some negative comments we were pleasantly surprised. The room (317) is interestingly designed, colourful, clean and well appointed. Plenty of storage (double cupboards), good sized bathroom, modern TV (CNN and BBCWorld) and the window was in fact a door which opened to a tiny balcony. Perfect for the milk & juice....and for fresh air in the night. The bed was really comfortable....a double with two single mattresses & duvets. When we did the Waterbus tour, the guide said, as we passed the Hotel, 'there you see two former Warehouses joined together and now Copenhagen's most exclusive Hotel'.We didn't disagree apart from the fact that after a long day's walking, when you return to your room, there is nothing nicer than being able to make a nice cup of tea or coffee. Forget it. You have to go down to the bar and part with 28K ! Come on Copenhagen Admiral, join the 21st Century and provide Tea/Coffee facilities in the room.

The location is quite convenient. The hotel, though impressive from the outside, is ordinary. The room is simple. The size of the room is only adequate. The bathroom is also not luxurious. The decoration is basic.

The hotel is perfectly situated - just in a short stroll from most tourist attractions and shopping streets: New Haven, Stroget, the Little Mermaid, Amaliengarden and the Royal Residence. Breakfast is perfect. Good conference facilities and service. Room interiors are neat but old. Charges for the Wi-Fi! I thought it to be out of fashion 10 years ago. The signal strength and speed were awful in the rooms. Mattress and pillows are much too soft for my taste. The bathtub and taps well ready for refurbishing.

Location Bedroom and bathroom were both extremely small. Dinner menu was rather pretentious and our meal was not particularly good. Service in the dining room and the bar was poor to the point where we left the bar without ordering because of the delay. The hotel was not good value for money.

The location was good. Checking into the hotel was a terrible experience. The staff was rude, the room wasn't ready and you could hear staff all around trying to upsell the harbour facing rooms for an additional 200 Krone per night. They had told me when I booked with them that they would give me a harbour view if they had room (which they did - but they didn't give me a harbour view until I complained to the Ass't manager - who then moved us.) Did not enjoy the checking in experience at all!

Quite expensive for what it is. Room too small. Breakfast ok but for an hotel of that standing could definitely be better. Reception very very slow. Restaurant the food is fresh but the mix of things too complicated and quite a little strange, very expensive for what you have in your plate after a starter and the meal you still are hungry. So in general not convincing.
