nearly everything except for....
sound proofing of room not great. person snoring next to me all night. the female staff were borderline rude- male staff were a bit more polite.
The rooms are very noisy, the walls are not good. We could here the neighbours, so that was disappointing.
There were stains on our bed cover, otherwise everything was excellent!
Everything, very homely
Breakfast Buffet Good quality/price Very nice staff Confortable beds Geographic locality
Beautiful hotel in a great location close to everything. Friendly, excellent service and a breakfast to die for, -great value for the money. If returning to Copenhagen i will chose the same hotel.
very good food and service in the hotels restaurant
Again very good short stay (one night). Used very little of the facilities this time. Perfect position for a day in Copenhagen.
Very narrow parkingplaces. Not possible to prebook.
Location Hotel decor Friendly staff Helpfulness
Quite an expensive room with no complimentary breakfast.
well worth 1700kr for one night. Looked like a castle from the outside, and the the referb in 2004 was perfect.
I didn't like the fact we had to leave..
The ambience of the hotel was great - superb old building right by the docks and very centrally located meaning easy walking access to the majority of Copenhagen attractions.
Lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room - had to keep asking for more. Electricity points only worked when lights in the room were on meaning no charging of phones/cameras overnight
The gorgeous wooden beams, Harbourside location and proximity to main sights. Outstanding buffet breakfast.
The size of the rooms - very cramped. Also the coffee, tea and milk weren't replenished once during our 3 night stay.
Good location Taxi could be always found in front of hotel
Old furniture Small and extremely noisy rooms Overcrowded Poor housekeeping services
Bar staff, check in staff fantastic
Restaurant ... Poor service like eating in rubbish restaurant ... Just go out to Nyhavn round the corner much better food , service .
Great location. Impressive building. Comfortable. Good service. Great breakfast.
Nothing to dislike.
Excellent comfortable bed, charming and helpful staff, great restaurant which was good value, kids loved the duplex room
Our family room would have been super as a suite but was cramped for a family, the room cleaning was poor (towels left on radiators, beds not made!), wi-fi weak and sporadic, very noisy office party going on and we were woken by other guests at 2am
Quirkiness of split level Junior Suite Breakfast Salt Bar cocktails
Small, Tired Bathroom Lunch menu in Salt Bar
The place is quite old, and is really fashinating. Despite of this, the rooms are excellent and modern, breakfast is fantastic.
Comfortable room and bed. Great location. Stylish.
Slight door from bathroom that you notice when first entering the room (maybe to do with old pipes). Room could use some brighter lighting.
The Staff were excellent. You could not fault them at all. The room was very good and the bed was very comfortable. A great place for a short break.
The rooms are noisy, especially the ones above reception.
The hotel is lovely. The hotel reception staff were warm friendly and extremely helpful on arrival and throughout our 2 night stay. We stayed at The Admiral along with my parents to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. We were delighted that during the first evening room service brought an ice bucket, bottle of sparkling wine and glasses up to the room as a gift from the hotel reception. I chose the hotel because of its central location, which is in easy walking distance from the historic Nyhaven and the metro station. The room was warm and comfortable with a waterside view. It was equipped with mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, a safe and wardrobe. I cannot comment upon the food as we ate at local restaurants during our stay. We found Copenhagen enchanting, particularly at this time of year.
I loved the hotel but the cost of the rooms were quite pricey at £175 per night without breakfast. If we were to travel again without elderly patents, I may choose somewhere a little cheaper so that we could afford to stay in Copenhagen longer. The en suite room was very small and narrow and I feel that we would have needed a larger room if we were staying any longer than the 2 nights.
Location, staff, rooms.
Breakfast was good, but on one day it was in a secondary room which was not quite as good as the amin restaurant
Bathroom outdated and too small.
Location to canal, walking street, restaurants, cafes and other sites was perfect. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great location Nice architecture Historical building Good free WiFi Parking
