The building works in the city made the hotel a little hard to find as it blocked off one half of the road in two but this should be a short-ten issue.
Really nice hotel and very friendly staff.
Cramped bathroom Lot of construction work going on in close vicinity to the hotel
relaxed and chilled atmosphere and Very helpful staff
Carpets could have done with more frequent cleaning. Ongoing building work on the pier at the rear of the hotel started earlier than expected, but noise not too obtrusive.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was surprisingly close to many of the major art galleries and museums - 15 minutes walk at most, so did not use the metro or bus much. Rooms and beds were very comfortable and quiet. Very nice decor and surroundings in the old salt warehouse.
You have to log on to the wifi every second day. No gym, no air condition, no everyday room cleaning, no 24 hr room service. The staff is not very helpful. The bed linen is made of artifical materials what makes you sweat during the night! The bathroom was old and pinkish !
The location is perfect!
the hotel is dated and is in an early 90s style. The carpeting was dirty, and our bathroom really smelled badly like sewer. Although we mentioned this a few times to the staff, nothing was done.
hotel overlooks the canal and theatre and yet in the midth of town. spacius room
Rooms on the top floor sound grand, but they should never be allocated to people over seventy. The stairs up to the beds are positively dangerous for people who get up in the night. We changed rooms after one night.
Reception staff were excellent and gave good advice about restaurants and local transport
We felt that the room was very small and it's location at the front of the hotel made it noisy at night when the window was open. There is no air con. so the room was very hot with the window closed. People gathered outside to smoke and talk late at night making sleep difficult. The bathroom was so cramped that it was very difficult to use. The shower over the bath out dated and not very safe for older people.
The location was excellent in the centre of the city, on Nyhavn. The hotel building is very impressive. The bar and outside deck were very nice. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The staff were all very helpful.
The Hotel was ideally situated to enjoy all of the attractions of Copenhagen.
We only stayed one night but I didn't experience anything bad about this hotel. We did not have breakfast though as we personally thought is was a little expensive at 145DKK and we're happy to walk around the corner to a local cafe.
All the staff spoke perfect English and where very professional and accommodating, always willing to help and with a smile. The location is amazing just around the corner from Ny haven and the Palace and 5-10 minutes walk from the little mermaid. Good views although the windows are a little small. Having said that the bed was soon soft and comfortable and the whole hotel was very clean.
It didn't have a pool or workout facilities.
I, personally, liked the location. Although others might think it's too far away from the city center. Copenhagen is a walkable city, so it wasn't that bad. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite large compared to my experience with the rest of Europe.
Restaurant on site great albeit expensive with limited menu and service not actually very good at all. Staff (waiters in particular) not particularly good in the restaurant. Bedroom was extremely small although had a great view. Housekeeping extremely poor; items were not tidied or cleared away and not entirely sure the sheets were changed daily - but I could be wrong!
The hotels location was perfect - its opposite some building works but accessing CPH and sightseeing excellent. Plenty of character.Salt restaurant on site great. Salt Bar and staff charming. Would certainly use hotel again.
Construction taking place in the area -lots of dust, noise - but this is not the fault of the Admiral hotel. Some of the room's features are looking a little 'tired' - but overall - great location
Staff extremely friendly
Location. Great breakfasts - best value in Copenhagen. Good ambience. Helpful staff. Hotel restaurant is exceptional
The hotel was well located and the room was spacious. There was roadworks outside but that is understandable and did not affect our stay in the slightest. It would be helpful for guests to have information on local restaurants and prices available to make choice easier in the broad range of lovely eateries in the area.
There was a certain amount of internal noise from adjacent rooms and footsteps overhead. We wished the restaurant had a more extensive menu. When I got home I discovered housekeeping had sneaked an extra, expensive, item on to the mini bar bill.
We loved the location: a quiet street by the waterfront, five minutes from the hustle and bustle of Nyhavn and fifteen minutes from the city centre. The restaurant was excellent, the bread wonderful. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept on in years.
Thin walls, bit grubby, lots of noisy construction in surrounding area!!
About 10 minutes walk to the nearest Metro station. It is absurd that a 4* hotel with rack rate of about DKK 3200 per night use these "hotel" coat hangers and even tie down the shoehorn (assuming the chain in the cupboard was intended for that purpose) The room was uncomfortably small, very difficult to walk pass the bed. Overall it looks more like room for one with extra bed, even if described as room for two persons.
Good location in historical building
Since it is a big hotel it gets too crowded when check in or checking out. You may have to queue. It is not a cozy hotel. Bike rental is quite expensive, you can get cheaper from the bike store nearby.
Location is great.
Bathroom quite dated with shower curtain & no extractor fan.
Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Would recommend for a city break.
The first day the room was not as clean but the subsequent days it was ok.
Good location - 5 mins from Nyhavn, Very Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the interiors - the reception area and the room.
Hard to pick something negative. Maybe the price is not fully alligned with the standing of the hotel, however this is Copenaghen, so you cannot complain about price.
Excellent location; very quiet place but close to some important attractions of Copenaghen.
Hotel bed was a twin bed instead of double.
Friendly staff, location of the hotel and cleanliness.
Just to be a bit annoying: no to shower curtains!
Loved the location and the ability to walk anywhere in the city! The building is also beautiful.
