The staff is friendly and helpful, and Strandby is a really quiet town that is perfect for relaxing by the seaside. The restraurant opposite the hotel (Snerlen) is absolutely fabulous, and we recommend the five courses with wine. Not cheap - (700 Danish Kroner per person), but worth every penny and an experience you will remember. There is no air conditioning, and no fan, so the room, facing towards the afternoon sun had made our room very hot and uncomfortable - we had problems sleeping. A ceiling fan at least would go some way towards making this hotel better for those warm summer nights.

Breakfast was very good. Its very close to the Beach, but we only stayed there because of an early ferry departure. Staff was only around for breakfast. No chance for questions, or the like. Check in past 1pm and you find your key in a Little tray with your Name on. Room was clean, but with shared bathrooms I would reckon to clean at least twice a Day. Wifi was broken when we were there.

On website said about restaurant at the hotel. None at the hotel. However the restaurant opposite was fantastic. If they had accommodation, we would stay there. There was no-one there at our arrival time. Room basic and clean. No restaurant. Should have been made clear on web site.

total mess-hotel should be closed, no internet acces , no tv, no breakfast consitions[ in corridor], poor breakfast, no lights on emergency stairs[ the only way to come in], no lights in corridorr, big big mistake , why in booking system, paid full price, never more !!!!! see above , below zero

A éviter absolument. Personne pour nous accueillir et nous donner nos clés le premier jour... Au téléphone, on nous a alors expliqué qu'il fallait rentrer dans l'établissement et que nos clés seraient sur un présentoir (se pose donc la question de la sécurité de l'hôtel). Pas de wifi dans les chambres, une salle de bain à la limite de l'acceptable (pas de prise de courant, pas de sèche cheveux, pas de gel douche ni shampooing, une chasse d'eau défaillante), petit déjeuner sans plus. Les stores blancs de la chambre n'occultaient en rien la lumière du jour (impossible de dormir après 4h30 en été), et notre chambre à côté de l'escalier était très bruyante.

Wij hadden een kamer geboekt met gezamenlijke badkamer en toilet. De hoteleigenaar heeft ons kosteloos een upgrade van de kamer gegeven. Zeer sympathiek. Toen we daar de reden van vroegen melde hij dat het toch zeer rustig was. Het ontbijt zou menig hotel wat van kunnen leren. Alles ruim voldoende en keurig verzorgd. Zeer gastvrij alleen bij aankomst wat onwennig omdat er geen receptie meer was. Onze sleutel lag klaar met een klein briefje met onze naam. Verder geen klachten.

Nur Übernachtung für die Überfahrt nach Oslo. Zimmer i.O. Kein Komfort. Frühstück war ausreichend. Für eine Übernachtung würde ich das Hotel Divan weiter empfehlen, nicht aber für einen längeren Urlaub.

Me ha sorprendido que al llegar no hay recepcionista, sino que te dejan las llaves y por la mañana en el desayuno, pagas y conoces a los dueños. Eso si, es muy tranquilo y está muy limpio.

Fantastisk service og deilig frokost. Hotellet ligger ett par hundre meter fra stranden I den rolige byen Strandy. Lite koselig familie drevet hotell. Det kunne godt ha vært bedre madrasser, litt tynne

Het hotel is makkelijk te vinden, vlakbij een haventje waar je wat kunt eten. De kamer is schoon, we hebben er goed geslapen. Niet ver van Fredrikshaven, waar we de boot hebben genomen naar Noorwegen. Het ontbijt was prima. Er was niemand aanwezig die ons verwelkomde. De sleutel van de kamer hing er wel, maar het kwam wat vreemd over.
