No hot water on arrival
Location is centric and it's a totally new experience to stay in a boat like this. Staff is really friendly so you can feel like being at home.
The boat needs little fixes but I think it's normal considering that it's a boat.
Location, incredibly quiet in the rooms, staff, fun, quaint
The room was really hot.
The only thing that is good is the location
-No air in rooms -Everyone had to sleep with open doors - unsafe -The boat smells machine oil which is common but this is NOT what a hotel stands for.
A real sail-boat in the heart of the city. Warm welcome - like visiting old friends. Will become my 'home' in Copenhagen on future visits
Nothing at all
Best location in Copenhagen, very unique place to stay, staff very helpful and lovely, very relaxed atmosphere and lovely to sit on the boat and enjoy a drink and watch the world go by
We loved it but you have to be aware you do climb a ladder to get to you're cabin and it is shared bathroom. We never waited to use the toilet or shower and we loved the unique experience of staying on a boat. For us it added to our trip experience
I had read all the reviews on booking.com so i knew what to expect ! This was a fun experience for 1 night. The captain doesn't speak much english and seems a bit rough on the outside but we managed to udnerstand each other. His wife (I think) is more open and speaks better english, the boat was sailing in the afternoon so we couldn't get our cabin before 8om...but i had done the check in before and as i knew it, it was fine. You pay when you arrive...if you pay by credit card they take an extra fee...but this is pretty much the same anywhere in Danemark.Breakfast was a cup of coffee which was fine for us. Cabin is... well a cabin !!! so don't expect more..it was clean, it was large enough for both of us to sleep. There are no windows so you shouldn't feel clostrophobic. Bathroom and toilet are common but it was clean. You need to realize also that the cabins are at the bottom of the boat, so there are very narrow and stiff stairs to go down...don't come with a large suitcase !!! Once again....as long as you read all the reviews and that you understand that you get a cabin on a sailing boat... you will have a good time ! We are 40-45 years old and we enjoyed it for 1 night...but we probably would not do it again.
Same price as a hotel with a normal bed and own bathroom...so I think they are on the high side price wise
When we finished check-in, we were ask to go out since the boat was going to sail, but we were invited to go previously.
The location in the heart of the tourist district was fabulous. The experience of sleeping on a ship was great. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The cabin was stuffy.
We loved our stay on Donna Wood. Its a great boat and excellent location. The staff were extremely helpful and made the trip for us. Would definatly recommend.
Easygoing and friendly in a fantastic place
Smelly, damp cabins without fresh air
boat locale very unique, owner bery friwndly amd easy going.
Boat leaves every Sat and Sun from 1pm to 5pm so you don't have access to your room during these hours The cabin is smaller than it looked to me from the pictures
Nice boat on the lovely harbour in the center of the city.
First time I arrive in the hotel and the hotel is not here (during reception opening hours)! No one answers the phone for one hour... They finally came back and called us to tell us at what time they will come back. When we arrived (at 4.30pm), the room was not ready and the reception was not very welcoming... The bed was not confortable at all, the crew members stayed awake until 2 am (and the boat is very noisy), and they started cleanning at 8 am! So this room is very expensive (even if it could be nice to be on a boat) for a short unconfortable sleep.
Only for boat lovers, but if you are one of those, to be in the middle of Nyhavn in a 1900 built boat that was before a light house boat and rebuilt to be this lovely sailing wodden boat is a luxury no matter how uncomfortable is live in a boat.
Fantastic location, and the accommodation has lots of character.
It is important to note that the check-in times are limited.
Charming boat in the middle of the city, friendly host, down to earth. A bit of a novelty to stay on a sailing boat in the middle of Copenhagen.
This is roughing it on a middle budget. There is no windows or possibility to air the cabins, which are small (what do you expect on a boat) and smell of ... well, old boat, I guess. You hear all noises from people arriving late / leaving early so don't expect a peaceful night (although there is no noise from the street, which is good).
Location, easy access, and freedom to come in and out.
Unflexible staff, and fair comfort in the rooms.
noise at 3 am in the morning by people speaking too much before making love
We arrived late (which we annouced with our booking) and found an empty ship. After a phone call we were told to look for another hotel - very unlucky story.
In the city center. It is real ship.
I have a trouble because I checked in later and checked out early. There were nobody at 9 p.m. I waited aproximate half of hour and met a little drunk caretaker. He didn't speak English (we asked what languaged he knew, he said that knew Polish, but I can say that his Polish is very poor). He gave the key for room, but I didn't trust him enough to left money. I tried to checked out at 9 am. There were nobody again. I beat the ship bell - without success. Host was lucky because I stayed in the city a bit longer than my girlfriend and had possibility to brought money and room's key later.
We really enjoyed our one night on board and we will come back soon! Very friendly staff, cosy and quiet cabin, perfectly central!
Great location, amazing heritage boat, unique atmosphere, very kind staff
smelly bed linen (bring a sleeping bag with you)
Very friendly owners great location a lot of fun expirience on board :)
rooms (cabins) quite small, with no windows there are ALL ship sounds in cabin shared bathroom
