too expensive faulty lamp was not fixed despite notice
Need a fan or aircon.. Too warm
Very friendly, helpful staff. Stylish bedroom. Good breakfast. Great central location just 5 minutes walk from Tivoli and the station.
Position. Stylish surroundings. Wonderful staff.
The location was perfect - a 5 minute walk to the Central Train Station and close to the Town Hall, Tivoli Gardens etc. Although on a noisy street the back rooms facing the garden were really quiet. The breakfast had excellent choice and was served in a classy dining room. A definte plpace to return to!!
Position in really good and near central Station , staff is kind , the hotel is nice , breakfast in hotel suggested
The shower is nice but all the floor became wet
location is terrific breakfast is excellent clean, friendly walking distance from train station
bathroom is really small, but it works
Location close to central Copenhagen and the main train station was very good. The breakfast was good but very expensive.
I didn't like being encouraged to up-grade the room which added to an already expensive stay. The breakfast was good but very expensive. We didn't have vouchers like virtually every other guest The morning street noise started at 4:00 am with deliveries on the cobbled stones
Location is great and the room is clean and tidy.
I booked two double bedrooms for 3 nights. Considering the (very high) price I paid, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of service received. As soon as we checked in, in the evening, we realized that the hotel was very poor value for money: the rooms we were given were extremely small, with a small and way too soft bed. They were on the 1st floor, overlooking a strip club, in the red light district, therefore the position wasn't really the best. When we closed the curtains to sleep we realized that, right under every window, there was a huge light illuminating the whole facade. Unfortunately, even with the curtain closed, this light kept the room very bright at night making it difficult to fall asleep. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable too. The morning of the day after we complained about the service received at the reception and asked for a room change. Initially our complaints were very badly handled by the girl at the reception, who told us to try changing the room later in the day. So we did: luckily in the afternoon we dealt with a nicer and much more professional receptionist, who offered us to change one room (out of the two booked). We went to see the other room with which we could have changed ours but it was even smaller and the bedding didn't look freshly cleaned. In fact, also in the rooms in which we were staying the bedding had black marks on and seemed to have been previously used. The toilet seat had urin drops on it. Furthrmore, we put the used towels in the shower (to be changed): the cleaners put them back, wet and dirty, on the towel hanger rather than changing them. At this stage, we decided to sray in the rooms we were originally been given (at least, we were the ones who had used the dirty towels and bedding..). I asked at the reception to fill in a module of complaints, which they didn't even have. This shows how unprepaired they were at dealing with customers complaints.
The location of the hotel is great, right near the central train station and close to Tivoli. The breakfast buffet offered a very good selection. The staff were friendly and helpful. I realise that Copenhagen is expensive, so for the price this hotel was pretty good.
The room was very small for a 5 night stay. The room was very hot and stuffy but if we left the windows open at night the noise from outside was incredibly loud. Everything from a fight in the street, to a garbage truck at 3.00 am. The bed must have been way too soft as I had an incredibly sore back for the entire 5 nights and days that we stayed at this hotel, which improved as soon as we left. I felt like I didn't sleep at all well during our stay at this hotel.
Very good breakfast selection in a bright clean breakfast room. Free coffee and tea are available in the lobby during the day. Close proximity to the Central Train Station and shops / restaurants.
No air conditioning or fans..rooms on top floor can be very hot in summer. No batteries in the TV remote control and no spares at reception.
Good size room Helpfull stuff
Small Breakfast room If u go late u may not have a table
Good location. Helpful staff. Great breakfast.
No coffee machine or any coffee available on site. No refrigerator in rooms. No safe deposit in room.
Staff was helpful, communications were prompt, breakfast was very nice, easy walk into main tourist areas
Room was cramped, felt a bit worn, towels were thin
Nice room, good location, ok breafast and very fast and service mindes straff. Enjoyed our stay.
Room 320 have a very poor wi-fi
The staff was super friendly and helpful. Basicaly very nice decor, especially in the common areas.
The room was small, its layout wierd, uncomfortable. Bathroom is in dire need of renovation. The ventillation of the kitchen is in the inner yard, which was very loud and echoed between the buildings.
no air con, safe or mini bar.pillows too soft and small.shabby bathroom, stiff taps, rough towels.had to move rooms due to outside noise at night.rooms overlooked,no privacy when curtains open.no water pressure for taps or shower.
The only good point is its location. It is near Tivoli.
I prepaid the room rate at booking.com half a year ago. But when I arrived at the reception counter, the lady said I did not pay for the room. Luckily, I brought the banking statement with me showing the amount I paid for the hotel. Then the lady said they had changed a new system and that's why whether I paid or not was not shown in their new system! Unfortunately, on the day when I checked out. The same lady requested me to pay the room rate again! I told her one more time I had paid it a long time ago! Secondly, the room is really old and dirty. It is very obvious that the tables and the floor are not cleaned every day. The bedding sheets and pillow cases are not changed. The receptionist said they are changed only every 2 to 3 days. When I asked her why there was still rubbish on the floor. She said the cleaning lady would touch the things belong to the customers. It seems that they don't know how to identify customers' belongings and rubbish! There was no shampoo, body wash.... given on the second day when we stayed. As I was traveling with 2 children, I needed to get two more towels but the lady wondered why we needed 2 more towels. First Mayfair Hotel is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed. The staff are not friendly. The breakfast coupons given to me on the first day were not enough for four of us to have breakfast. The waitress at the restaurant asked my children for the coupons. Then I had to go back to the reception and asked whether the children needed to have coupons as well. Then the receptionist found that she did not give me enough coupons. But this happened on the third morning only. Another waitress didn't ask the children for the coupons on the first two days. They do not have a computer at the restaurant to record who has eaten the breakfast already. Once after this waitress asked me for the coupons and then ten minutes later another waitress asked the same question again.
Very small. No AC. Too much furniture I'm room. Seating for five not needed. No shower caps.
We asked for a room in the back and it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was well presented and abundant as to quality and quantity. Staff were very pleasant and very willing to be accommodating.
We arrived on a very hot day and there is no air conditioning. Also the hotel adjoins a subway or some type of road construction site but being in the back it was quiet. Not sure if the rooms in the front could say that.
Great location walking distance wonderful breakfast great staff
lots of noise fri night
The Mayfair has a good location relatively close to the Central Railway Station and an easy walk to many shops and restaurants. The breakfast room is bright and airy and has a very good selection.
The rooms on the 5th floor get very hot in the summer and although you can open the windows, there is no air conditioning or mechanical ventilation available. A large double story workers storage shed is right outside the front of the hotel.
Breakfast was very good, lots to choose from. Comfy seating in the public rooms. Coffee and tea from 4pm is free. Pleasant outdoor courtyard to relax in. Near to or within walking distance of attractions. 5 min from train station.
No shelf in bathroom. Toilet was too close to the basin, and very claustrophobic. No A/c.
Size of room and shower in the bathroom Location close to city center and central station Staff at the reception Breakfast
Cleaning can be improved even acceptable Ventilation (fan at least) would have been welcomed - (noisy outside with open windows)
