Very good breakfast selection in a bright clean breakfast room. Free coffee and tea are available in the lobby during the day. Close proximity to the Central Train Station and shops / restaurants.

No air conditioning or fans..rooms on top floor can be very hot in summer. No batteries in the TV remote control and no spares at reception.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Basicaly very nice decor, especially in the common areas.

The room was small, its layout wierd, uncomfortable. Bathroom is in dire need of renovation. The ventillation of the kitchen is in the inner yard, which was very loud and echoed between the buildings.

The only good point is its location. It is near Tivoli.

I prepaid the room rate at half a year ago. But when I arrived at the reception counter, the lady said I did not pay for the room. Luckily, I brought the banking statement with me showing the amount I paid for the hotel. Then the lady said they had changed a new system and that's why whether I paid or not was not shown in their new system! Unfortunately, on the day when I checked out. The same lady requested me to pay the room rate again! I told her one more time I had paid it a long time ago! Secondly, the room is really old and dirty. It is very obvious that the tables and the floor are not cleaned every day. The bedding sheets and pillow cases are not changed. The receptionist said they are changed only every 2 to 3 days. When I asked her why there was still rubbish on the floor. She said the cleaning lady would touch the things belong to the customers. It seems that they don't know how to identify customers' belongings and rubbish! There was no shampoo, body wash.... given on the second day when we stayed. As I was traveling with 2 children, I needed to get two more towels but the lady wondered why we needed 2 more towels. First Mayfair Hotel is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed. The staff are not friendly. The breakfast coupons given to me on the first day were not enough for four of us to have breakfast. The waitress at the restaurant asked my children for the coupons. Then I had to go back to the reception and asked whether the children needed to have coupons as well. Then the receptionist found that she did not give me enough coupons. But this happened on the third morning only. Another waitress didn't ask the children for the coupons on the first two days. They do not have a computer at the restaurant to record who has eaten the breakfast already. Once after this waitress asked me for the coupons and then ten minutes later another waitress asked the same question again.

We asked for a room in the back and it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was well presented and abundant as to quality and quantity. Staff were very pleasant and very willing to be accommodating.

We arrived on a very hot day and there is no air conditioning. Also the hotel adjoins a subway or some type of road construction site but being in the back it was quiet. Not sure if the rooms in the front could say that.

The Mayfair has a good location relatively close to the Central Railway Station and an easy walk to many shops and restaurants. The breakfast room is bright and airy and has a very good selection.

The rooms on the 5th floor get very hot in the summer and although you can open the windows, there is no air conditioning or mechanical ventilation available. A large double story workers storage shed is right outside the front of the hotel.

Breakfast was very good, lots to choose from. Comfy seating in the public rooms. Coffee and tea from 4pm is free. Pleasant outdoor courtyard to relax in. Near to or within walking distance of attractions. 5 min from train station.

No shelf in bathroom. Toilet was too close to the basin, and very claustrophobic. No A/c.

Quite a handy location for access to the Central Railway Station, about a 5 minute walk. Tea and coffee facilities are provided in room and at reception. Plenty of choices for eating out nearby. Very good selection at breakfast buffet.

The Hotel has had a recent change of ownership and/or management and the front desk staff need training. No air conditioning. Rooms vary greatly in size and there are some some annoying maintenance issues, like no batteries in the TV remote control

The cleanliness, the staff, the breakfast and the interiors are worth appreciation.

The location was a bit confusing. A proper map with directions, for the guests, would be appreciated.

Great location, just few minutes walk from the main station and the Tivoli Gardens. Lots of eating options nearby as well. Excellent breakfast including salmon, pates, good cold cuts, bacon and sausages etc. the room was bright and comfortable.

Some noise from construction work nearby in the morning but this is going on all over the city centre with the extension work being undertaken for the Metro system.

The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had at a hotel. Great variety, everything was very fresh. They did not skimp.

While the rooms were very good, they need a bit a refreshing, i.e. the carpet, etc.

Location was perfect. Right in the heart of lots of action. We could walk to multiple attractions to include a water boat tour of the city, Trivoli, museums and restaurantes. Plus the train station was only a couple blocks away. Perfect location and the staff was very helpful.

The room was small but very nicely done. It was a little tight but in a large city anyway, that is probably to be expected.

Convenient location - 5 min walk to railway station, 10 min walk to city centre. Quiet room, windows opened.. Good breakfast selection. Nice lounge area near reception

Bedding too warm for summer especially as we were on the top floor. Would need a/c on hot nights.
