The breakfast was not up to par! Not enough selection (which would not have taken much to improve btw), only choice of tea for me, a tea drinker, was black tea already on a thermos, I found no sugar, the table cloths from plastic (plastic in a place like that?!) were not properly cleaned and sticky! Also, I would say that the service, at least for the breakfast needs improvement. I'm sure it's simply a matter of time. We'll be back in a year or two to "check out the improvements!
Historically very interesting place dating all the way back to the 1400th century!
Inasmuch as the place was recently taken over by new owners who are intent on, and in the process of restoring it to its full historical value, there may be details that are not "up to par yet". As far as we were concerned, the classic and historical style of the place made up for those small serendipities, like a warm/hot room 2.floor with a slight musty smell that disappeared when we opened up windows and doors! We were allowed to roam the facilities which we found one room more interesting than the other.
