In a heritage-listed 1780s building, this waterfront hotel is next to Amalienborg Royal Palace and across from Copenhagen Opera House.
Score from 2371 reviews Very good
Opened in May 2014, this central hotel is just 270 yards from Kongens Nytorv. It provides free Wi-Fi and modern rooms with private bathrooms. Strøget and Nyhavn are both within a 5-minute walk.

This boutique hotel is just around the corner from Copenhagen’s picturesque 17th-century Nyhavn waterfront district. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with flat-screen TVs and Danish designer furniture.
Score from 958 reviews Very good
We keep returning to this hotel primarily for the location, which is more pleasant than the Vesterbrogade area.It is a clean comfortable midscale place with a reasonable breakfast and is not too expensive for Copenhagen.
The hotel is undergoing a renovation program until at least May 2015, so some noise was evident even on Sunday. Overall though the noise level was low. On check out my credit card was used without the normal "do you want to leave the bill on the card?" question, so as I wanted to pay with cash (to avoid the hefty foreign card charge) a refund procedure was necessary. I'm still waiting for the refund!
room arrangement, beakfast selection and friendly staff
renovation work at hotel
Ambience - the room overlooked a covered courtyard Tea and coffee constantly available Rooftop terrace Free one hour of Wi-Fi Location close to Nyhavn
Pleasent and polite staff.
The hotell was difficult to enter with a stroller. The rooms were small (we paid for superior but it turned out to be a regular one), fungus in bathroom ceiling, uncomfortable beds and generally in urgent need of renovation and dirty.
The staff is helpful but inexperienced.
The bathroom is very badly designed and is dangerous for senior citizens.
Excellent position just around the corner from the Nyhaven. Very god breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Although frosted glass windows, the lack of any blinds/net curtains in the bathroom made us feel rather "exposed". Very poor water pressure and inconsistent hot water. Having to pay for WiFi after first hour is not in line with majority of hotels we have stayed at around the world.
I like the location.Very good. The arquitecture of the hotel, interior and exterior. Also friendly staff.Good cleaning of the room.Good Breakfast.Nice music.
I was a little hot in the bedroom. Also the shower could be better.
We have been coming to this hotel for the last 6 years and it is Always a pleasure to come again. As we read on the page before booking, renovation of the hotel is going on. Though it did not affect our stay (or good sleep) at all. We stayed the night to Sunday. Fair space in the room, with all we needed. Strong water pressure in the shower. Comfortable bed and pillow. The breakfast room is now bigger than it used to be (I miss the big pink soffa anyway ;) ).Great variety of food. All delicious. Good coffee. Guests can drink coffee even outside the breakfast time, so generous. Thanks.
proximity to nyn haven, opera house , metro museum of art (SMF) range of restaurants ,bars in vicinity. free coffee in post breakfast period. staff were friendly and very helpfull
builders early start in adajent rooms. weather was poor ..not hotels fault !! lack of bar. probably as a result of builders works
Everything was clean and comfortable.
Two lamps were not enough to light the room and despite requesting another one none was ever provided. No shower curtain in the bathroom so the floor was lake like each time I used it.
Be Aware :This is not a 4 star Hotel ! The 4 strs are only a part of the Hotels logo.
Size of rooms. We were not told hotel was under construction. Rooms were tiny and bed was very uncomfortable. Bathroom was not clean. Mold was growing everywhere.
Proximity to harbour, canal and restaurants Palace walking distance of most venues.
Price of breakfast
I liked the location in downtown. Easy walking to see the sites. We were only there for a nite and it was too short a stay. Love to go back for a longer stay and I would choose this hotel again.
Very centrally located hotel. Good facilities and very quiet considering central location.
location. comfortable beds.
House keeping are sloppy and the rooms/bathrooms could use a face lift. I had to change rooms due to burnt smell and overheated room, but that happened on day 3, after several complaints. I had to ask twice to replace lightbulbs that were not working. They are still doing noisy construction work.
Room temperature - very hot.
- Small room - No fresh air - Noise due to renovation from 7/8 AM on - WiFi doesn't work in the room
Loved the location - short walk to Nyhavn harbour with several dozen great little restaurants along the waterfront. Easy walk to beautiful sites. A block away from Amalienborg Palace where the royal family lives. Not in busy commercial downtown area. Easy walk to shopping streets. Bus stop right beside hotel goes right to train station (66). LOVED THE HOTEL AND LOCATION. Staff was very cordial and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was extensive and breakfast room was great. We stayed in several other hotels and liked this one the very best. I will always stay there in the future.
Wi-fi does not work well in rooms. But they had free internet stations to check email or research whatever - so it really was no problem at all. Most reviewers complain about wi-fi but it was very easy for us to work around that problem.
Very nice located and perfect for romantic trip in a nice city with a lot of charming
breakfast coffee and tea facilities and the room and the staff very friendly and great location
my view wasnt that good facing offices but not problem
location, friendly staff, pancakes for breakfast, rooms are good and comfortable, really close to restaurants in the dock. Would probably stay again at the hotel.
a bit pricey (but it is Copenhagen after all), breakfast room a bit on the small side where people are all cramped up just to get access to the food.
small room no view tiny bathroom absurdly high prices
Breakfast great and parts of the hotel nice. Rental bikes were great. Location is ok but I thought it was on the Nyhavn harbour when looking at the photos. Not really a bar available and roof terrace was a bit disappointing as you can't see anything....only rooftops!
Rooms not very well equipped, no tea and coffee etc. Distinct lack of power sockets. Had a concern about the windows and very low sills. Windows open fully so it's easy to fall out hence would not bring my children here. Internet a bit flaky and only 1 hour free which is also heavily restricted in terms of speed/bandwidth.
