Hotel Ansgar

The hotel was O.K. but the price is, maybe generally in Danmark, too high with respect to the category.

Friendliness of front desk

Breakfast was excellent. staff helpful. bathroom facilities excellent. location excellent. Definitely a budget hotel and quite good for what it was

bed was uncomfortable because it slanted to the middle. not enough ice, tho we are American and spoiled in that regard. room was very small but quite efficient. could have used American electrical outlets, tho we should have brought converters

The room was tiny for the money and the bed was tiny and uncomfortable. Only stay here if you plan on only sleeping.

Location is good for city trip. The room size for 3 people is very good. The breakfast is good.

The location of the lift is funny. It does not situate in the same floor. You still need to take one flight of stairs to get in the floor of the room. Thus the hotel is not for people who is physcial handicapped or physical disadvantage The room for 2 people is kind of small, but it is okay for european city.

The room was clean and bright.

Did not like the area that hotel was in, No bar area to sit and have drinks, breakfast not much choice unless you liked bread.

Very close to the main railway station.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice large breakfast buffet, easy to get anywhere in town or outside (trainstation 2 min away)

if room is facing street it can be quite loud when people talk on the street, it echoes

Staff were most obliging and although the room was small (twin) it was clean and well maintained. Friends stayed in a family room and this was much larger. Breakfast was good quality and abundant.

The location is close to the Tivoli Gardens, the Plaza and Central Rail Station however the approach to the Hotel is via a seedy street.

I loved the layout, roominess, design and cleaniness of the room and that it allowed 3 people to stay in one room comfortably. I also was very satisfied with the breakfast and enjoyed eating it on the garden terrace.

Decent facilities for the price paid. The buffet breakfast was good. There was a bike rental service at the hotel which I highly recommend - a great way to see Copenhagen.

A couple of the staff members were rather unfriendly and unhelpful. The area, being right in the middle of the red light district, felt unsafe at night.
