Hotel du Nord  

Location was fabulous, close to everything including the railwaystation so easy to walk there and back. Staff at the front desk were very helpful and fluent in English. Lots of eating places close by.

One drawback was the room was centrally heated (no temperature control in the room) and it became very hot which required the windows open to moderate the temperature but then it became very noisy.

5 minute walk from Central Station and Tivoli. Shopping areas within easy walking distance. Staff I met were knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was adequate but dining room very small. Drink making facilities in room was a bonus.

Closeness to main Copenhagen train station & public transport

Appears no airconditioning and we had radiators turned off in mid april and room got too warm anyways and opening windows on upper floor still allowed too much noise into room for a good nights sleep; shower curtain too short allowing for water over then slippery bathroom floor tiles; upper shower head seemed clogged (with lime?) and hence minimal force & water amounts and yet a lower shower head was too low for good body shower & its attachment to wall wobbly & loose - suggest you check out the bathroom fixtures before accepting a room - also like many big cities, near train station meant having occasionally contending with prostitute solicitations, beggars & noisy weekend young people -- one other drawback especially on weekends is that the breakfast room does not have nearly the adequate number of tables so one had to sometimes line up and wait ..

It's proximity to train station/city, it was our first time in Copenhagen. Staff were polite and spoke excellent english

We didn't realise that the Hotel was in the heart of the red light district, with soliciting going on outside the window of our room 118! Bathroom floor was not clean, bed sheets were not crisp & white, bathroom window had no curtain for night use. Room was small, musty and very noisy from lobby & lift! This room should only be used for storage. We were bitterly disappointed, as we had asked for a room in a quiet location when we booked. My son and his girlfriend stayed in a vastly superior room on 3rd floor. We were told Hotel was booked out for the night so we were unable to ask for an upgrade.

Excellent location, very clean rooms, really kind staff.

Staff were friendly and spoke fluent English (like everybody in Copenhagen!). Great value for money. Breakfast was good. Tidy clean room. A deep bath in the bathroom. Extremely handy to the train station. 10 mins walk to touristy areas.

Location was excellent. Rooms comfortable and clean. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast was fresh and plenty to eat to keep you going most of the day.

wired internet, which guaranties stable line of good quality for business travellers, much better than any Wi-Fi available in CPH - including in 5 * hotels.

Very clean hotel and room, have been upgraded to get a larger bed which I appreciated a lot. I have also asked to get a quiet room on the back which they offered me as they saw my notice It was also nice to have your tea or coffee in the room at any time with the facilities

The buffet breakfast was not very rich ..could have more choice of hot dishes such as bacon and eggs (not only boiled) , some fresh fruits

Hotel du Nord is very well situated nearby the main railwaystation, good connection to/from the Kastrup airport (about 20 minutes by train). The hotel is very well designed, with good buffet breakfast, nearby the city center with all the royal castles and palaces, museums, shops, cinemas, etc.Tivoli park is just a few steps from the hotel. I can recommend this hotel for the short trip to the city, as well as the start point to the other parts of Denmark.

The service in the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful.
