That it had a very central location.

Not clean rooms. A lot of drunk men, rooms with shared bathroom/shower not nice for women traveling alone.

1. The room is big enough for three people 2. Many tv programme shows 3. Good breakfast (but no one fills the plates when they are empty)

Ask for a room away from the train station as the trains are a bit noisy. Most rooms turn away from this though.

Cheap and good breakfast

Not clean, you have to arrive until 9pm. The room was without curtain and tv remote control. In general the hotel feel dirty. The bathroom was shared so quite dirty. If you have money don't book!

We loved our stay at Hotel Skandia in Helsingor. The location was great, close to train stations, inexpensive restaurants and an easy walk to the castle. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We had a family room so we had a bathroom of our own. It was not fashionable but was clean and spacious. We had lovely views. The breakfast room was nice and homey and we had large tasty breakfasts. Though this was not a luxury hotel, it was a good value for the money and was pleasant, clean and comfortable.

The bathroom could use some remodeling for looks-but everything worked.

There is nothing good about the hotel itself, so the only good news is the location – which is adjacent to Helsingor railway station, and hence very close to the ferry port for the quick trips to Sweden, as well as trains to Copenhagen and North Zealand. Although it seems very expensive, by Danish standards it’s a lot cheaper than you’d find in Copenhagen – so it was one of the few times I’d found a “Copenhagen Card” to be of benefit, as that includes all the trains in the region (note that the dsb day passes don’t allow travel this far out).

This is a very expensive guest host – I wouldn’t call it a hotel. The rooms are pretty basic, with old style sockets, and a table lamp that only had one pin on its connection, so I wasn’t sure if it was safe to use. The curtains weren't wide enough to cover the windows. There is just a sink in the corner and the room was very noisy, with the lift motor being impossible to ignore, as well as the crossing signal warnings in the street when one of the local trains went past. The breakfast was included, and was a reasonable buffet affair, although the hot choice seemed to vary depending on who prepared it – the grilled mini-sausage of Sunday morning were replaced by an unappetising looking omelette on the following two days. A note in reception that seemed to imply Danish Legislation required them to charge an extra 3.65% on transactions made with foreign credit cards. I thus had to draw out cash to avoid this charge – despite having found out it was an optional charge the hotel had chosen to impose on its foreign guests. Another big issue for me was that the hotel reception was unstaffed from 5pm on a Sunday evening – meaning you needed a PIN Code to get into the hotel. Unfortunately when I’d checked in the night before there was no mention of the 5pm closure – just that it would close at 10pm on Saturday evening – luckily someone took pity on me as I waited at the door. Ironically, over the weekend it seemed like a one-man show, with the same person doing breakfast as reception, and I had initial sympathy if he did that all week – but in fact I didn’t see him during the week, with two others then in charge.

Location, building style, great view

The hotel is just beside the railway station, 15 minutes far from castle, the staff is friendly, the breadfase is quite good also.

It was quite noisy some nights.

Troede ikke så ringe facilitetter fandtes I Danmark!! Minder om et hotel langt øst på ...... Bad på gangen, som var beskidt og koldt. Skumle gange næsten uden lys, med tvivlsomme elinstalationer synlige.... Boede på 4 sal men var alligevel forstyrret af musik og larm fra værtshus I stueetagen, kan slet ikke forstå man kan leje værelser ud på de andre etager! Burde lukkes!!!!

Personalet var meget venligt og hjælpsomt- og beliggenheden var fin - der var en dejlig udsigt fra værelset. God placering I forhold til shopping I Helsingør

Det var ikke så rart med bad og toilet på gangen, men det var jo, som vi havde bestilt det.

God beliggenhed og god valuta for pengne

Parkerings faciliteter I en meget rodet gård. Afløb fra brusebad på vort værelse skal forbedres.
