Score from 720 reviews Very good
Walking distance to everything. The staff was very helpful and service minded.
The breakfast was not so "fun". Booring breakfast room. A ´lot of noice from the street, BUT if you like to live nearby train and boots it's not much to to
very nice and friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, delicious breakfast!
Location and price relatively cheap for Denmark
The Hotel is quite old and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom smelt a bit, the curtains did not close fully and there was no soap in the dispenser. During the night we were disturbed by rowdiness outside, this may be worse at weekends as Helsingor is a boozy weekend favourite for Swedes!
Perfect location.Close to everything but still silent from outside.
Location and breakfast
Hot room and the price
the room was HUGE and very well furnished, there was a bath rather than just a shower, the location was excellent and although there was no bar there was a vending machine which sold beers for a very reasonable price
the wifi was a bit patchy so syncing my photos was a slow process but despite the dodgy connection they all uploaded by the time i woke up each day
Breakfast room was beautiful and very good choice of food
Huge room with a view of Sweden. Great breakfast.
Mount where shower hose should be attached to the wall was broken.
Very good location nearby the Helsingor railway station (Helsingor is a nice safe city 45 minutes from Copenhagen by train, 20 minutes from Sweden by ferry). Reasonable rooms, good breakfast. Good choice if you want to see both Copenhagen and Helsingor (including Swedish coast); altogether four days are ideal time for such trip in our view.
Sewage was not perfect, the bathroom was smelling sometimes. Proximity to the railway station might be a bit noisy for some more sensitive people.
Ideal position opposite railway station and ferry port. Close to town, castle and restaurants
Great location across from train station, walking distance to ferry and to Kronberg Slot, great restaurants (Madame Spruncks), 7-11 across street In train station, very helpful staff at Skandia, wi fi good.
Good location close to a parking place free for the night plus 3 hrs. Fair price outstanding breakfast
Wi fi was not working. No small fridge (usual in Danemark) renovation necessary
we very much liked the friendly and helpful staff, the size of the room, TV reception was excellent, and the closeness to the railway station made travelling to other places so easy. We also liked the peace and quiet, even though the hotel was located on a busy road.
We would have liked a small fridge, black and green tea and milk, however this was not a big problem with a shop at the railway station. We kept the milk out on the balcony.
Good simple but fresh breakfast. Right in centre of town.
Bad housekeeping - stained bedspreads, not cleaned under beds
Staff is really nice. Location is really close to Train Station & Harbour & Turistic places
Rooms look like in the seventies / old fashioned. Not Worth 3 stars given the "cheap" furnitures in the rooms
no soap, shampoo provided
breakfast good; location excellent for ferry; tea/coffee facilities in the room.
parking is not close to the hotel
The staff for so friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean. Breakfast was excellent.
The heat did not work in our room, but staff provided an extra blanket for us so we were comfortable at night
Breakfast better than expected
A very very shabby, tired appearance. Hint of tobacco smoke everywhere and bathrooms similar to what you would expect to find in only the worst hostels.
Location is excellent very close to train station and ferry pier.
Hotel facilities is pretty old suitable for one night stop over only.
The location was good, the room was big(ish) and clean, and there was a certain air of past "glory", must have been a good hotel at some point. The elevator works and is big enough for luggage, too. Breakfast was ok. Overall, quite dated but still not the worst experience. Despite the non-likes it was good for one night.
The price is quite high for what the hotel is, but "location is everything"...floors are a bit squeaky, walls are thin and the pipes are noisy, so not suitable for light sleepers. Bathroom was ok for brushing teeth and washing your face but the shower/bath was not all that inviting. The car park is phenomenally messy, just a backyard of a chinese restaurant really (not that our car minded), and you have to carry luggage via the street since there's no direct entrance to the hotel.
Location is very close to train station and the town centre
Wow it is a noisy place at night... Lots of party goers and drinkers still out at 5 am
