We had just left a cruise ship with a lot of luggage and arrived there around 8 am. There was very little room in the lobby area but we were allowed to sit there and they had a room for us at about 9 am. Since we had to get up about 5:30 so that we could disembark by 7:10 we were very thankful that the room was available that early. That evening I found the bed to bevery comfortable and I fell asleep very quickly. We had a wake up call for 3:20 am the next morning and a taxi was waiting for us at 4:30 just as we had requested. Every member of your staff was friendly and courteous. Your information said that the room was small and it was. We had to put our luggage is front of the door so that we could get into the bathroom. The shower set up allowed water to go all over the bathroom floor. The shower curtain was not adequate to keep the water from splashing out and going everywhere. My husband said that he could hear a woman groaning for about half an hour in the room next to us and he had trouble going to sleep because of that. We found that everything was very expensive in Copenhagen compared to what we are used to paying. I would recomend the hotel for service but was suprised at how little the room was for what it cost.

It is always too hot in hotels: the Ibsens is, unfortunately for me who travel a lot, not an exception. Ideal sleeping temperature should not eb above 18° regards df

The Ibsen's Hotel provided us with a lovely warm, cozy room to settle in after our days of trekking all around Copenhagen. Very clean room, stylish, comfortable bed, great shower - lots of continuous warm water, large T.V., phone and nice big windows to look out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It definitely was a quiet safe haven when we needed it. Great location for the many destinations we wanted to see. Close to the lakes and the Norreport metro station. Easy to get to airport. Everything we wanted to see during our week stay was within walking distance; art museums, Stroget, Botanical Gardens, historical buildings , University, cafes, markets, etc. Really a perfect place to be a home away from home! I was surprised there were no wash cloths provided. Must be a cultural difference. Plenty of bath and hand towels though. Also I was hoping they would have an electrical adapter I could use to charge my camera. They would sell me one for about $ 10 but I didn't want to pay that much for something I would only use one time. Bring your own !

Loved the location. It was close enough to walk to most of the central part of Copenhagen, and the Norreport station had both a Metro station and the s train. Just a brilliant location. The room sizes were pretty small coming from the U.S., but despite that the rooms were comfortable, clean, and stylish.

People always friendly (I come regularly). In having changed the entrance hall, they also change the breakfast service. For the same price, there is much less choice (eggs, etc, and mainly there were before lovely cakes with marsipan which are not available anymore)- So breakfast is maybe a little expensive, although croissants and "pains au chocolat" were very nice ... Note price of hotel was OK when I did the booking, but seemed to have increased when a friend of mine did his booking a little later. Check price do not increase too much.

General atmosphere and helpfulness of staff . The rooms are comfortable but in the winter the low lighting makes it very dark . The breakfast is expensive by any standards. Would like to have access to boiling water without having to ask staff.

Friendly staff , good location The room has no wardrobe, standard rooms have no proper shower, but just a drain on the floor and there is nothing of appliances in the room (no fridge, no chance to make one's own tea/coffee). Breakfast is very pricey, yet for that you get only filtered coffee (all other ones you have to pay for yourself).

Great location. I've stayed there before and back then the service was excellent Poor service. Only one of the staff seemed trained. My room had been downgraded even though I had booked months before. The breakfast was a joke - a take away kind of buffet that costs a small fortune.

The lobby, the location, the lakes and Nørrebro in walking distance There was no info in the booking that you have to require hairdryers in the reception, and staff didn't tell us in the evening about that. When we had to get up early to catch our flight, we went with wet hair and then were informed about the hairdryers by the receptionist...too late... Internet connection should be free for the hotell guests, not based on one computer connecting through credit card! No wardrobe or minibar, no proper glasses in the room for the price of 120 Euro is a rip off.

Staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The room was on the small side but perfectly adequate and the bed very comfortable. On the down side, there was no air conditioning and Copenhagen tends to be a humid city. We opened out windows to let the breeze in which was fine except for one thing--the noise on Friday and saturday nights was terrible from drunken revellers in the street below. Went on until the wee hours of the morning both nights. Receptionist was not always present at the front desk causing waits sometimes of over five minutes to get room key.

Good location, centre still reasonably quiet Hotel might need to train staff better at handling the bookings, confussion about the specified requests and even number of booked rooms is the last thing people want to deal with after finally arriving

A big effort has been put into the presentation of the hotel and the results are impressive. The lounge and dining areas are particularly enjoyable to spend some time in, and the rooms are cleverly designed. The location is great with lots of good bars and cafes in the surrounding area, and a short stroll to the city centre. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful, and there was a good atmosphere in the hotel overall. The chambermaids' habit of knocking on the bedroom door at 9am each morning to see if there was anyone inside was irritating. Also of note, the hotel bar is misleading. On requesting a glass of sparkling wine/ prosecco from the barman on duty, we were informed "we don't do that". When I pointed out where it was listed on the menu, a similar blunt reply was given without explanation, and only beer or wine was offered. As there were 2 bottles on display directly in front of me, this was more than a little annoying, and we were left with the impression that he simply didn't want to open a new bottle. A proper hotel bar menu shouldn't be offered, if the bar is not prepared to crack open a new bottle when it's quiet.
