Karlslunde Strand Hotel  

It's a very convenient location - right on the beach, and with a supermarket and various food places within walking distance. Also very quick to get to the motorway - Copenhagen is just a 20-minute drive away. There was plenty of space and, with two bedrooms, we could get away from the kids in the evenings.

The buildings where we were are (I guess) 20 years old and looked tired: worktops need replacing, tiles need re-grouting, weeds needed, er, weeding. I wouldn't describe it as dirty, 'unloved' is more appropriate. The bathroom/shower is a 'wet room' which just doesn't work: the floor floods and takes an age to dry out. Free Wi-Fi is provided, but is very patchy indoors. I thought it was pretty expensive considering the general low level of maintenance.

Spacious rooms, location practically on the sea-shore, well equipped mini-kitchen, good and free parking place and internet.

Reception closed very early, at booking.com there was the information, that check-in is possible untill 20:00, we arrived at 19:30 -reception was already closed. No breakfast was possible with the room we've booked. The nearest grocery store closes at 19:00, The closest supermarkt after that time untill 22:00 is about 3 km. away.

The lady at the reception desk was lovely, & made us feel welcome. The apartment was clean & very spacious for our family of 5. The location was near a train station which was convenient for travelling into Copenhagen. The kitchen facilities were very good.

The apartment was in need of some updating..particularly the bathroom. The shower only has a curtain separating you from the toilet. The toilet was prone to blocking. There was a sewerage-type smell in Karlslunde!

No daily cleaning offered; stained bed linen in wardrobe; unclean on arrival, obviously no cleaning behind bathroom door and around edges, beneath furniture;stained pillows and bed linen in wardrobe: decoration tired and worn; all in all a very basic offering which (having been recommended) fell far short of expectation. Reception closed at 8:00pm. On enquiry about room cleaning a very curt and unfriendly comment that "it was not offered" without any further assistance being tendered.

Pretty beach and neat cottage. Welcoming staff and great coffee. Definitely will find another opportunity to return.

Beliggenhed i forhold til de planlagte familie aktiviteter. Relativ kort afstand til Kbh centrum, samt at der er to soverum.

Der lå døde insekter i vindueskarmene, og der blev slået lige så mange ihjæl. Endelig var der en dør der hang så skævt, at den ikke kunne lukkes. DVS rengøring og bygningsvedligeholdelse var ikke i orden.

Lejligheden har absolut ikke rengjort - kaffemaskine, elkedel, ovn, opvaskemaskine var ikke brugbart. Lavede kaffe ved at koge vandet i en gryde - alt service måtte vaskes af før brug og dette i hånden. Ikke et sted vi vil komme mere - ej heller anbefale til andre.

Renligheden

Отлично работающий и любезный персонал, апартаменты оборудованы на кухне вполне достойно - посудомойка, посуда, бокалы, средства для мытья... Все вполне прилично. Чтобы переночевать семье из 4-6 человек, приготовить домашний ужин, прогреть комнату электрическими батареями - очень даже ничего.

Очень холодные ванные комнаты (две в нашем номере), на полу холодная плитка и нет хотя бы самых примитивных дешевых ковриков.
