Restored under the patronage of His Royal Highness, Prince Joachim, Kokkedal Castle is a well-preserved medieval castle with impressive views of the Liim Fiord. Kokkedal Castle was built on castle mounds that date back to the Middle Ages; sometime during the 14th century and is handy to some of the most beautiful beaches in Northern Europe. Located in North Jutland, Kokkedal Castle still includes watchman’s galleries, one meter-thick walls and a secret passage that passes under the moat and drawbridge. All the historic guest rooms have canopy beds while the 8 fully furnished vacation apartments all have their own terrace and access to sauna and swimming pool during the summer. There is also an outdoor tennis and badminton court. Wine tastings are held every Saturday in the ancient wine cellar and the guests have the possibility to taste 5 selected wines from the hotel's production and from imported sources. Særeget gammelt, spessielt bygg. Frokosten var litt for enkel til å være på et slikt erverdig sted.

Bygninger og interiør er smukt og meget stemningsfuldt. Sengen ikke for blød og meget behagelig. Lidt rigeligt døde fluer mellem vindue og forsatsvindue. Morgenmaden fyldes ikke op den sidste halve time, så B-mennesker får 'resterne' af brødet - et meget sparsomt udvalg. Køleskab på værelset virkede ikke.

Die Schlossatmosphäre Die Zimmer sind relativ dunkel. Die Zimmereinrichtungen (inkl. Bad) eher bescheiden.

Fantastiskt boende på historisk plats och byggnad. Självklart spökade det i vårt rum - brudevaerelset- på riktigt.Trevlig restaurang/matsal. Uppskattade särskilt levande ljus både vid frukost/morgenmad och middag. Trevlig personal utmärkt service. Ett tips är att matsedel för kvällen borde varit klar redan vid frukost/ morgenmad för att kunna bestämma om man skall äta i restaurangen på kvällen. Vi återkommer till Kokkedal.
