The very friendly bar and food service!! Down town convenience.
For business travel, we need a real internet connection.
Very close to Helsingør Railway station. Tea and coffee provided A lot of chargers inside my hotel room
Reception is close at certain times during the weekdays. It left a message but it was written in Danish. We waited there for several minutes until someone told me that we were required to contact the waiters in the hotel restaurant for the check-in. Not much choice for your breakfast during the weekdays. It was the first time I had seen the hotel guests not been provided with sausages and eggs in our breakfast.
The central location in Helsingör - excellent.
Late check in time. The long waiting time to get dinner served.
Atmosphere in restaurant Breakfast Friendly Staff In the heart of Helsingor, close to the train station and main streets. Close to the departure of the 70.3 Ironman Kronborg.
Excellent proximity to center of town and transportation.
Too noisy. The youth in town are partying all night, chanting and shouting outside our windows. We were there on a Friday and Saturday, do a weekday might be different. Or if you can deal with 3 hours sleep each night, go for it!
Close proximity to station and ferry
We stayed Friday and Saturday nights and the noise from the street below was intolerable
Good location near the harbor
Room had to be paid on arrival, the receptionist was very instructive on how i should have booked my room
Nice looking room, great breakfast buffet and nice staff. 1 minute walk from the trainstation.
If you check in after 22.00 They just leave the hotelroomcards on a machine by the outside door unguarded that anybody from the street could take! Felt very unproffesional, they should work on another system if they don't have staff!
Location is excellent, a three minute walk from the station, and the choice at breakfast was good. All requests made were followed up by staff, although this was during office hours.
The rooms are a little worn and the bar on an evening can be expensive. Also, the reception desk only opens office hours, staff at the bar can help with check in, but this isn't very explicit (there is a touch screen console inside the doorway which some may find difficult to use).
Breakfast was good. comfortable room and bed.
+++nice and friendly hotel&restaurant staff+++ +++ good danish breakfast with yoghurt, daish cheese & bread+++ +++directly situated in the pavement area of Helsingoer+++ +++free WIFI+++ +++option for fully automated 24hr check in without reception desk (if necessary), magnetic card, ie. your credit card could be coded as your entrance key+++ +++spacy 2 bed room with charming furnitures+++ +++next time in Helsingoer will be with the same hotel and question for a spacy room like we have had+++
+++ college had received a very small 1 bed room+++ +++ rooms had been a bit sticky, maybe because of end of tourist season+++ +++ better information for using the fully automated check in, or information that you could check in with the help of the restaurant personal+++
impossible to sleep with so much noise, from 8p.m till 6a.m, drunk people screaming in front of the hotel. Avoid during summer week-ends ! No staff on week-ends.
Music in the bar directly under our room from 0600 am
The staff was very helpfull and described where to find free parking. Very cosy hotel, with the perfect location.
As most danish hotels, there is no a/c. Reception was not manned 24/7 but that didn't realy bother us.
When I booked, it was 880DKK. But when I paid, I was charged about 30-40DKK more, for "credit card fee". Nobody told there was this fee. We just felt like cheated, which doesn't feel well.
Extra cost without telling. And our room was very warm& small, window was difficult to open.
As seniors, we loved the fact that the hotel is not only close to the station - just a 3 min walk - but right in the heart of 'old Helsingor'. The availability of a lift for our luggage, and free Wi-Fi, were a great relief. The variety of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby is exceptional. The staff were very helpful and generous towards us. Our lack of Danish language was not a disadvantage. And the food at the restaurant is excellent.
The price for the evening meal was steep, and the bill was not itemized to allow us to check it. Wine glasses were 'topped up' with no indication what this might represent in cost.
automated check in was very confusing
I read a lot of mediocre reviews and was quite sceptical as a result of that. But i have to say after 10 days in Denmar and Sweden that this was the only one who had a babycot ready upon arrival despite bookings (and payments) were made in all hotels. Hardly any noise, good location, even parking was easy to settle. Room was very spacious and bed was the first we didn't sink into the mattresses like a piece of creamcake... Automated checkin worked like a charm. Yes, i do recommend!
Nice location in the centre of the town near the train station and the ferry port and a 10 minute walk to the castle listed by UNESCO. Reasonably priced given that it's in Denmark. Staf were excellent.
No wifi in rooms despite being told there was. It seemed to be mostly business people staying there, should have wifi in this day and age. Hotel does need a wee bit of a renovation.
the personnel, the cozy rooms and the overall atmosphere.
Breakfast diversity and quality could be better at this price
Perfect location, right next to the train station and the sea. Nice old building, really friendly and helpful staff. Good rooms with retro furniture and amazing view from the room.
There was a party or a club downstairs with really loud music that was on till midnight. I wanted to rest in the small town, not to visit the concert. Extremely loud and impossible to sleep. Regretted my booking in the end.
Good location. Very convenient for ferry to Sweden and train station. Beds very comfortable. Good breakfast. Helsingor is a nice place!
The hotel is old and needs a bit of a 'lift'. Rather expensive for what it has to offer.
