This pleasant, affordable hotel provides functional accommodations with free Wi-Fi and private parking. It is in the Aarhus suburb of Viby, just across the E45 Highway from Viby Shopping Center. The rooms at Hotel Mercur are simple and functionally furnished with a private bathroom. All have cable TV and free Wi-Fi internet access. After a day of sightseeing in Aarhus, relax with a drink in Hotel Mercur’s elegant lobby bar. The bar is tastefully decorated in subtle tones and features brass-plated ceiling panels and colorful rugs. With several bus stops nearby, Hotel Mercur is well serviced by public transportation. Good location if you are looking to break a journey on the way to somewhere else. Easy to find from the main highway. Lots of parking available for free. Friendly staff with a no-fuss check in and check out. The hotel is rather utilitarian and showing its age. Still clean and adequate but no more than that. It feels more like a student dorm accommodation than a hotel. The single room had a bed built in shelf style against the wall for example.

Hotel is rather quiet 180 euro for a normal room in a hotel which had never been renovated I guess. A room in that hotel worth 50-60 euro. Rooms are just not fine. They look old, electra instrallation is old, bathroom is just a joke; looks like camping facilities. No free wifi. I travel a lot and saw all kinds of hotels, that one is particularly disapointing. I do not advise it until they unless they modarnize all of it.

For the price this is an excellent choice! It is very clean, easy and in a great location. Its basic but has everything you will need... hairdryer, tea and coffee, fridge etc. You can not go wrong with this hotel if price and location are top of your reasons to book list.

I particularly liked the extensive choice at breakfast. There was a large buffet of different types of bread, English breakfast, cereals and fruits. The rooms are somewhat old-fashioned, but knowing this in advance it wasn't much of a problem to me.

The staff are fantastic. Extremely helpful and very easy going. Nothing seems to be a problem. Although I had officially checked out of the hotel, I was provided with coffee and a place to work whilst waiting to be picked up by friends - much appreciated. The rooms, although not comfortable, are great value for money. The rooms are not comfortable so it is not a place where you can hang out in your room. But I guess this is the pay off - great value or comfort.

Run down overpriced bad location ugly interiors noise housekeepers very noisy in the morning, entering the rooms without warning before 9 0'clock. Worst hotel experince ever.

Morgenmaden Elendige, nussede, grimme, slidte værelser. Indretningen var som man kunne forvente det i et gammelt Sovjethotel. Der var ikke en gang tale om forfaldent hotel, hvor indretningen blot var gået af mode- der har aldrig været tænkt indretning. Særdeles skuffende. Stod slet slet ikke mål med prisen, som var alt alt for høj til så ringe og grimt et hotel. Madrasserne skrækkelige at sove på. Dårligt dårligt. Ligger langt fra Århus centrum, så heller ikke i forbindelse med storbyferie ville der være idé i at overnatte her.

Vi kender hotellet fra 2 tidligere besøg og finder det tilfredsstillende, at vi kan parkere bilen frit under opholdet. Desuden er det let at tage bussen til byen, når man forventer indtagelse af alkohol!

Beliggenhed tæt på den familie, vi skulle besøge Sengene var meget korte. Min mand på 190 cm måtte ligge på tværs for at være der. Generetlt meget nedslidte værelser. Håndvask på badeværelser i børne højde. Lever ikke op til 3 stjerner

Super lækker morgen buffet og så var der rent Hotellet er nedslidt og bestemt ikke tidssvarende. Alt lignede sig selv som for 30 år siden da jeg brugte hotellet en del i arbejds øjemed.
