Wonderful location, building full of character, lovely staff.
Not a thing.
Location Character of hotel Superb staff - especially on reception and in restaurant Comfy bed No air conditioning BUT electric fan instead (great idea!) Excellent restaurant
Bedroom - in need of a lick of paint! Bathroom - a bit dated
Dreadful lack of space in "bathroom". No separate shower cabinet so water went everywhere! Bits of bare wiring in "wardrobe space". Room was tired & in need of upgrading to modern standards.
Parking facilities means finding a parking place in the street which can really difficult to say the leastt
No breakfast before 07 am. Poor bathroom and bed
Rooms very small unless you upgrade. Breakfast and bar facilities no more than adequate
Cheerful staff Great location
It was usually warm in Copenhagen but the hotel has no air-conditioning and there are few ways to get air into the room. The hallways are extremely hot Sleep was very difficult
The hotel is perfectly located in Nyhavn
The hotel do need a total upgrade, rooms and common areas are worn. The breakfast is more a 3 star hotel standard
Being moved to the new wing for the second and third night. A remarkable difference. I would only recommend the hotel if the accommodation was in the new wing.
Our first night was in a very hot noisy room in the old part of the building. The window handle fell off and the bathroom window didn't close properly. Being on the first floor overlooking a skip filled with bottles and rubbish not very attractive.
The Nyhavn area of Copenhagen is THE place where the history and charm are one. Great shopping, food, access to canal tours Why stay anywhere else?? Forget Tivoli, frankly crowded and dirty. 71 Nyhavn Hotel has all the charm and modern amenities you could ask for plus a great location We'll be back!
No coffee in lobby in am.
Despite the good reviews, this hotel turned out to be a disappointment: the staff was far from helpful at best and straight out unfriendly at worst. The standard room was so uncomfortable (bathroom impossibly small, toilet not functioning properly, lights not all working, no airco which meant leaving the windows open and not being able to sleep due to the noise and light coming in) we changed to a superior for the next night (no apologies or commercial gesture were made by the staff). The restaurant didn't look cosy at all and breakfast was over crowded. The overall impression we got was that of a hotel being the victim of it's own success. A real pity but maybe we had the bad luck of arriving at a bad moment.
The building is so full of charater of Nyhaven that it is a destination in its own right
Shower a bit small
The location right on the canal and having it quiet enough to sleep. The full Euopean breakfast.
Getting surprised that the rooms had no air conditioning and it would cost more to upgrade our room
Great Location at the end of famous Nyhavn Street. Hotel with all the charms of the old Danish port side.
Try to get a room with outside view of the water not the one that faces the other hotel tower.
Nice rooms, very good bed, Clean room.
No parking, smal breakfast!
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Hotel parking advertised, but only two parking spots available.
some street noise -windows could be soundproofed, bc old warehouse hallways were hot & not ventilated
The esecutive room was vero small and dark. The room had only a little window without any view. I asked for a batter room but had no chance to change. Also the cleaning was poor.
Centrally located to tourist activities. Our room had excellent river view. Very quaint and culturally charming. Staff was helpful and prompt to respond to inquiries for assistance.
Space was small. No air conditioning was uncomfortable. Opening window did not help. Outside tourist noise, loading and unloading of trucks was evident. At 2 am, some young men hung outside and made loud noises.
Small room, no air condition, noisy (ventilation from restaurant). Not more than 3*
Great location right on the Nyhavn Canal
No AC, room temperature was 30 degrees C (higher than outside temperature). Open room windows were only 1/2 story above street level (100 level rooms) Dated bathroom. Dated stairs / elevator.
Location The personnel were very nice when they were available. The room was very pleasant but the bathroom needed a bit doing to it, like a few amenities and accessories like soap dishes and holders in the shower and minimal things like that. It was very clean.
Although the personnel is very nice they offer minimal service. It is difficult to get prompt service at the cafe and restaurant and they had took a long time to pay attention to one's requests.
I could not sleep, the temperature excedeed 28 degrees in the corridor and even with the windows opened it was impossible to fall asleep.
Great location and ambiance!
Good location. Lots of restaurants nearby for dinner
The staff was not very helpful. The staff was not friendly at all to us (family with small children). The room was incredibly noisy and the bathroom facilities were disastrous... Comparable to a hostel!
