Nothing at all. I have stayed in many other hotels in the Nyhavn area and without exception they are better than the Hotel Opera Squalid rooms. Old, dirty carpets. Little lighting. Unappealing breakfast. The door of my room couldnt be locked.

Location, courtesy of staff, atmosphere. Rooms were dark, some too small. I requested a change of room and I was given satisfaction.

Some of the people working in the reception during evening/night time was not just unfriendly. They were rude. I would not recommend anyone to stay at Hotel Opera

I believe that the hotel has a lot of charm, but I was put in a smoking room to start and it was very smelly, however, then I was given a better rom at the very top floor, which was for lack of better words seeming very English, which I liked. The smell of smoke in my first room and the breakfast area was a bit crowded

The good atmosphere and the city / theatre / restaurant location. Parking - it would be good if the hotel could reserve parking for the guests.

Staff were so kind and friendly. Restaurant suggestion was also helpful. Many pictures of dancers and artists helped me to feel history of theater.

Breakfast was quite nice, convenient location. The rooms are old and visibly used. It was impossible to close the windows completely and always a 1 cm gap remained - hardly acceptable provided the weather.

I liked the location close to Kongens Nytorv with the Royal Theatre in 3 houses and I liked the proximity to Nyhavn with its restaurants and sightseeing facilities. I liked the air of old British hotel with its snug breakfast restaurants, corridors, corners and stairs. The tap water to the wash basin in my room did not run freely at all.

The most friendly, helpful staff we have encountered in decades of travel. They almost make you a member of the family. Enjoyed the small lounge off reception. Totally convenient for getting around and doing touristy things. While checking in, were told we had been upgraded to a superior room at no cost. Outstanding place!

Excellent location for shopping and taking the metro. I wish I had gotten her name but there was a blonde lady at the desk that was very lovely and helpful. The rooms weren't the cleanest. Not filthy by any standard. Just needed a good vacuum. The bathroom was dated but the big problem was the shower curtain in the bathroom. It wasn't effective at all and turned the bathroom into a wet room.

Location, service and breakfast were OK. The old style of the hotel looked in first instance nice was on the second very old and in some areas a refreshment is necessary. Also the smell in the rooms was not the best one.

The staff were superb in sorting out alternative accommodation when the noise at the front of the hotel due to roadworks woke us up early. I have not stayed in Copenhagen before so cannot compare this hotel with others but it could do with a little modernisation and the rooms are small, but I am told this is generally the case in this city. Small rooms with old plumbing, but characterful.

The location. It's near the main shopping street, the main restaurant street and the canals. Perfect location. The fact that it has no parking spots. It's on a busy streets district and we had to circle a few times until we could find an empty spot. And then we had to pay a fortune for a 24h parking pass. Awful. Otherwise, if there is no personal car involved in the travel, it's a fairly direct trip from Copenhagen's airport to the hotel by metro.
