Short way to the center of Copenhagen. We arrive late in the night to the hotel. We had been travelling first for three weeks to the mainland us, then to three Hawaiian islands, on different hotels. This was now our third week travelling to eastern europe last week, and western europe this week, finally coming to Copenhagen. Wen we came, we were met by only stairs from outside, and we have much baggage and a baby stroller, so it was hopeless to manouver quickly in and out of the hotel. There were even stairs to the room, and this we should have been made aware of after our booking. We explisicitly wrote to the hotel that we arrived with an 8 month old baby, so someone should have warned us about this, so we could have desided if we would come or not. Or at least write this on the description of the hotel, that it is not accessible easily everywhere. Besides this, we got good help from the porter, so that was OK. We arrived at breakfast at 10:12 the next morning, we were told that it was only 10 minutes left of breakfast. During our breakfast, the waiter was demonstrating all the time that it soon was closingtime, really unprofessinal, and stressful. A lady which came down 5 minutes before the breakfast ended, was treated real badly. The waiter stood right in front of her, looking angry, and telling that she could gather watever she wanted to have, and again pointed out tat breskfast was almost over. All the time the waiter was cleaning the tables in a demonstrative way, creating stress, and look real annoyed that we sat there. The worst thing about our stay is the lack of cleaning in the room, dust and dirt everywhere, topped by an absolutely disguting bathroom. Behind and on the sides of the toilet, three are stripes on the tiles, which look like someone has urinated on the wall, and noone cleaning this up. The bathroom really needs a total cleaning on the floor and walls, so please have the cleaningpersonnel make the bathroom shine, and clean the room properly.

The location of the hotel is good when wanting to stay near Nyhavn and Norgens Torv. The staff was nice. Access to the Metro when coming from the airport is very good. Stroget is close by and also the waterfront. The rooms are quite small, even when paying more for a "superior" room. The bath room needs a renovation. In general the hotels in Copenhagen are too expensive for what they offer. The problem is that there are no real alternatives. Since half of the upper class hotels in Copenhagen are owned by the same group, no real competition is coming up. They should be challenged by some of the large international hotel chains, then something would change.

The location was the best thing of the hotel As a family we booked 2 rooms and both looked the same but were not as the one showed on your website. The rooms were smaller, very very tiny!the bathrooms too old and in the bathtub you could take only the shower.the airconditioner was leaking heavly on the carpet and making too much noise. We complained about the room, the receptionist said that on the website booking.com puts nice pictures to attract customers...we have lost 45 min.trying to get out from the parking cause they gave us the wrong tickets at the receptionand had to go twice back and forth to ask for help. .Maybe the staff should have more knowledge.the rooms were cleaned too late in the afternoon.the hotel looks great only on pictures,it needs a lot of renovations!we felt like it had better times.....

The Staff and location! One word: Dilapidated! The hotel is so badly in need of a restoration in order to maintain its four starts that it is becoming a joke. Unfortunately it is like that with most hotels in Denmark and Norway as it is the only way they can keep margins up versus the cost of staff and taxes.

the hotel is situated in a sentral and safety area. Quite nice interior. Guest computers with internet at the reception was free almost all the time. Flat screen TV with a number of channels. We had a room just beside the elevator, but it didn't course any disturbing at all. We had a baby stroller with us which made it very difficult. Hotel has many stairs in the entrance zone and you have to berry things which are heavy. Beds are too much soft. You sleep like on the top of jelly. Breakfast is not recomended. You can have a nice cup of cuppicino and a fresh croissant for half price of the breakfast just beside the corner.

In walking distance to all attractions. Hotel is very old. Hallways smell stuffy. Rooms are okay, but when sleeping with open window it gets very noisy from street traffic.

Nothing. Over priced hotel with very small rooms. Staff was nice but cost to value ratio was way out of line when compared to other hotels in area. They certainly could not be classified as a luxury hotel.

The entrance was nice. And the photos on internet. I did not like to have a room on the backside where I had to enter through the elevator??!! I did not like to have a room a couple of steps up, so that my husband almost hit the ceiling. I did not like to have a shower where the whole water system is screaming and jumping when I put on the water for the bathtube. We changed hotel after one night.

Nice location Nice architecture Good day, I found the rates extremely expensive for the rates. I had a single room and it was as big as a cabin on a cruise ship. The breakfast was not even included in the rate. I paid over $240.00 usd a night and with no breakfast. Regards,

only the old style and location where nice. the hotel staff was rude, we did not get the package we ordered. After 4 complaints we where told that if we wanted the romantic package for which they had already charged we would be downgraded to a lower class room. We where charged too much in the end and had to haggle to get the right price. On the request to order a taxi we where told to go just down the road... only after a remark from us on this a staff member was willing to order one. I dont recommend this hotel to anyone who expects the class they claim to have.

Location The hotel building, has during years sunk in to the ground and is leaning many degrees. The double bed head side was much lover than the foot side. I'll recommend you to sleep the opposite way. The WiFy did not work in the room, even after complains to reception. The system looks very old fashion and the user name and password is as long as the history of the hotel.

Wonderful location, close to the Metro, the pedestrian street and just a few meters from Nyhavn. Small but very comfortable, luxurious room with bathtub. Delicious breakfast, however expensive. Possibility to store luggage and bags in secure room after check out. Breakfast was not included in the room price, had to pay 20 euro extra for it.

The location was impeccable a very cozy/romantic hotel! however perhaps not enough staff to attend to the clients? Also the cleaning would take forever and the bathrooms were a bit rundown

“The hotel is charming and has a warm feel to it, like your back in time 200 years in Nordic history .The room is nice, though a bit dark ( small windows because its an old building) but thats no problem. The room is clean. Breakfast is ok, a nice choice of food, with nice view of the water. The location is perfect for the harbour ( eating lunch outside!) and shopping. It is away of the noise but close to the city centre. Copenhagen is a charming city, well worth a visit!” Ronald, Heerhugowaard |
