The staff and the style. I arrived on Saturday and there was not available any international newspaper in English available. This is a pity but the staff were very kind and the style of the hotel also.

Good location. Very near to main railway station. Tivoli is more or less opposite. Main shopping street not far away. Good buffet breakfast. Staff spoke good English, were efficient, friendly and helpful. Attractive spacious, airy reception hall with a feature staircase and a pleasant bar area.

The Design and the views of the city from our corner room. It was also very quite. The lifts were slow and small. The Cafe Royal was a bit expensive for the basics, that is tea and coffee.

Handy area. Very comfortable room. Large room. Nice bathroom. Lovely breakfast. Some of the staff were offhand - we waited for a long time in the bar on the ground floor for service, although we were standing at the bar and two ladies were behind the bar making cocktails - we weren't made to feel welcome - just ignored. Someone eventually spoke to us - but not in a welcoming, friendly way. We were disappointed. Concierge staff lovely! Not enough on menu for vegetarians. None of the meals cpoiuld be adapted for me. In the end I had lettuce and parmasan cheeese for my evening meal! (With chips!)

Great location for exploring central Copenhagen, and conveniently placed by the central railway station and the airport express train. The view from our sizeable room at the 12th floor was magnificent.

Location was good, and the Cafe Royal presented a good breakfast. The lobby had the gorgeous furniture it is famous for, but lacked a warm welcome. The hotel had industrial feel due to the 'contemporary' fittings, low ceilings in rooms, the windows did not have adequate sound proofing (would be easy to double glaze) and so the noise from train station and Tivoli was relentless, do not stay at this hotel if you are noise sensitive. The mattress and beds were very uncomfortable, survivable for 1 night, but dreadful for 3 nights. The staff were efficient but not cold efficient not that friendly.

The Arnie Jacobsen design that has been respected in the recent upgrade. It is a very cool place to stay. It's a pity the restaurant was shut while we were there! and perhaps more staff are required at reception during busy periods - but the cool design makes up for any delays.

The proximity to Tivoli Gardens and a secure underground car par for my classic car The hotel is expensive. The coffee shop is more expensive than the restuants in the TG don't eat in the hotel. The service was also amateur in the coffee shop. The rooms were good but for a city center hotel the rate was to us expensive for what we got.

The location is best in the city. I could see Tivoli just from my room, the hotel is very close to all the shops. Breakfast is way overpriced. I skipped it.

“The hotel is charming and has a warm feel to it, like your back in time 200 years in Nordic history .The room is nice, though a bit dark ( small windows because its an old building) but thats no problem. The room is clean. Breakfast is ok, a nice choice of food, with nice view of the water. The location is perfect for the harbour ( eating lunch outside!) and shopping. It is away of the noise but close to the city centre. Copenhagen is a charming city, well worth a visit!” Ronald, Heerhugowaard |
