The toilet was blocked in the room we checked in. It was the same in the room we moved into. Would strongly advise against choosing this hotel until all the facilities are available. The hotel is not fully ready as a **** hotel

I was not informed about the construction before or after I ordered room. There was no glasses in my room for drinking water. I ordered for a room far away from the elevator but was given a room just next to the elevator. I don't understand what was the meaning for asking people to leave a notes when they booking.

Its location is very good, as it is very close to the train station, and close to shopping area. Also not very far from the airport.Hotel staff was very courteous, and helpful. There was a problem, in the authorization of the credit card, which was handled very patiently. Evening activity in the lobby (music 0, was missing.

Nice breakfast, though too repetitive. Restaurant staff was nice, however They would start cleaning and putting food away well before closing time! Housekeeping vacuuming next to your table while guests were still having breakfast, loud and annoying noise! Room was never properly cleaned during my whole stay( eg floors never cleaned, bed linen changed only twice in 10 days! Even I asked to have it done they didn't, so I had to strip bed down so they could get the message!). Sound from building site was bad however we could still sleep. Upgraded to a newly decorated room, it was ok but not much room for storing your clothes or a bath. Not sure it should be called a 4 star hotel...

Due to renovation/refurbishment our stay was spoilt. We have stayed here previously hence returning. But, in the light of the way we were treated, and no notification from booking.com, we would not stay here again.

The hotel is being refurbished. As such no problem but it should be clear from the beginning. The new rooms are shown on the site but the difference with the 'old' ones is huge....

Good locationa, good service - in general a nice hotel I had a single room that was too small. There was very little space for clothes etc. I missed a nice reasonably big wardrobe/cabinet.

Close to center. The noise made by the elevator used for renovation of the hotel waked us up at 7am. Next day, our complaint was accepted and changed the room for a quiet one. The price to high for the the rooms that need immediate renovation. I had more expectations from a Scandic hotel.

Having initially been placed in a room next to two external lifts that were being used to renovate the hotel, we were moved to another room away from the works at no additional charge. The hotel is very dated with poor services and is undergoing a much needed one year refurbishment. It is over-priced while this is ongoing and the fact that it is being refurbished should be clearly stated on booking.com and the reduction for this inconvenience should be displayed. It is very annoying to arrive at a hotel undergoing a renovation and not to be aware of this.

The hotel staff perfomed exceptional! During our stay the hotel was under construction (upgrading all rooms) and they manage to keep the facilties wery well covered and clean. Breakfast was limited but very good. Free-fast WiFi. Great play area for kids, with WII, Play Staion, table games, etc. From 2-15 year kids this was like their own living-room. In the room close to us the noise of the water pipes was a little bit noisy and as soon as we commented it to the hotel staff they assigned us a new room. TV chanels limited.

The Scandic Copenhagen is centrally located within easy access to all amenities. The atmosphere of the hotel was that of a city hotel, offering one a central location, a clean room and a very decent breakfast. The only reservation I would have about staying at the hotel again, was the lack of warmth and friendliness of the staff, which is in no way reflective of the people of Copenhagen, who are very warm and friendly. This was the only genuine disappointing element of my stay in the hotel.

The location was good, and the breakfasts were just great. The concierge service was good and the front office staff were polite and helpful. The current renovations were a distraction from our stay in that the entrance was difficult and the drilling during the day bad from the point of view of trying to rest in our room! Impossible. There needs to be a room service menu for guests who want to eat in their rooms after a long day of walking! We were not offered a non smoking room on check in and found we had the tobacco smell in our room which is very off-putting!

“The hotel is charming and has a warm feel to it, like your back in time 200 years in Nordic history .The room is nice, though a bit dark ( small windows because its an old building) but thats no problem. The room is clean. Breakfast is ok, a nice choice of food, with nice view of the water. The location is perfect for the harbour ( eating lunch outside!) and shopping. It is away of the noise but close to the city centre. Copenhagen is a charming city, well worth a visit!” Ronald, Heerhugowaard |
