Score from 2529 reviews Very good
Room quite small for the price.
The swimming pool is excellent, with several extras, nice showers, lockers. Breakfast is well-stocked and lovely, but both the breakfast room and staff have a busy and hurried feeling. The room is nice and roomy, good chairs, good bed (bit too small for us, both 1m90+). Good parking garage, lots of space. Excellent fitness room. It's all good, but just a tad away from excellent.
We've been here 3 times now, this is the first time a desk clerk tried to give us an upgrade for a small surcharge and a change of contract, and we did not accept it. Most of the staff are busy busy busy. We really don't understand why this is the Tivolo Hotel, while it is half a km away from the Tivoli Gardens.
Nice decor, pleasant staff, clean rooms etc.
Sterile, just like most other 4 star hotels. So you know what you're going to get, but no "Wow" factor!
Although this is not in a nice location, There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and we can take city sightseeing bus too. Rooms were very clean.
There was only a few hot dishes at breakfast buffet. The Room was small.
Too small room. We stayed in family room; bed for 2 children was small extended sofa.
In reality a bit high priced considering the location. However, Copenhagen is an expensive city so to be expected.
We were offered an upgrade to the executive rooms, and it was great (access to the executive lounge, very nice view in the room, very comfortable rooms, etc). The location of the hotel is quite good, close to Tivoli, and in perfect cycling distance to the whole city (I strongly recommend renting a bike in Copenhaguen). The swimming pool was also very nice.
We had some issues with the staff, the main one being: we asked if it wold be possible to get some gluten-free food in the lounge, and the first reply we got was "sorry, that's not our problem, you should have asked on registration" (which is not the treatment you expect on a 4* hotel). We were not expecting this unwillingness to help, but we quickly got them to understand that this made no sense, and they provided something.
we had room for 3 adults.room size small.
Great staff, clean room, good WiFi coverage.
No power outlet near the bed. Except for 11A bus station, you need to walk 600m to nearest s-tog station or 700m to central train st. & Tivoli Gardens. Food & drinks are expensive (like anything else in CPH)
Excellent pool facility in the basement, simple, comfy rooms. Not far from the inner city. Children-friendly.
The hotel does not have great surroundings on three sides, with train tracks to one side, a huge unfinished building site to the second, and a motorway on the third.
- Was a hit with my 7-year old daughter - Decent pool - Quite central location - Nice breakfast, and decent dinner - Nice view from top floor
- Quite big, maybe not very intimate - Wine chart was ... okayish at best
location, quietness, staff, Halloween decorations
Pillows are very small and not comfortable
This a good hotel in a location that is close to Copenhagen Central Station and reasonably close to the city centre. The staff are excellent and the room we had (a junior suite) was a decent size and the bathroom was very nice, though the shower soaked the floor after every use. We'd stay here again.
We had to have a change of room because of an inconsiderate guest in an adjacent room who decided to play music from 1.30 am until 5.00 am and who was remaining in the hotel for a further night. When we reported him to the staff the next morning, we were immediately allocated another room.
hotel staff Facilities especially free internet Room sushi
dim lights in the room location (far from a metro station) dinner menu Smelly and torn towels
Great hotel for kids, lovely swimming pool & play room. Nice decor & friendly staff. Would recommend.
You need a bus to get to most places but didn't bother us as purchased a copenhagen card.
Everything was ok
We didn't found the sleepers in our room... :( also the bathrobe... :(
Bad WiFi TV in the room didn´t function, changed room but same problem here
The breakfast was good. The selection was broad. The wifi had no problems. The hotel was close to the city center. We were able to reach to Tivoli Garden after a 15-minute walk.
We booked a triple room and it was small. The rental bikes of the hotel was the worst kind that I've ever rode. Even though the hotel is close to the center, we didn't like the location. They are expanding the hotel, so that half of the rooms in the hotel are looking at a construction site. We were lucky that our room wasn't facing to that area.
friendly and very helpful front desk nice location close to Tivoli park
The Tivoli hotel was a good base for us to explore Copenhagen and surroundings, and also for going over the bridge to Sweden. The breakfast was excellent.
We didn't have an evening meal in the restaurant as it was very expensive and little choice for vegetarians.
the room, the bathroom, the breakfast
The name gives the impression that it's close to Tivoli. Did not feel welcome because I was not a conference member. The conference people filled up the space everywhere.
Great sushi Friendly, helpful staff - especially useful having a concierge Clean and comfortable
Quite a way to walk to the centre of Copenhagen - but there was a very regular bus from outside the hotel (which the concierge can sell discounted tickets for)
We stayed here for 2 nights and at check-in, Jacob was very nice, attentive, helpful and kind. Thank you! There is a large shopping centre which is less than a 5 minute walk- which was very useful and convenient.
Ordering sushi from the restaurant upstairs was a disaster. The lady who answered the phone lied to me by saying that a few things I wanted to purchase (kid's menu) on the menu was no longer available as the menu had changed. She then passed me on to her colleague, who then told me that the food was actually available. When I asked why I was told that the menu had changed, she said that they prefer not to sell items off the kids' menu to adults!!! This is disgusting. I asked her how she could blatantly tell me that I was lied to, and how she knew that I didn't have a child with me!!! I then asked for the name of the lady who had lied to me, and she refused to give it. I insisted, and then she gave me both her and her colleague's name, and said she will inform her manager. After waiting 30mins for my food, I called back and was told the manager was bringing the food. The manager simply said there had been a miscommunication and that I had misunderstood and they would never do that. I then said that I will just let the hotel management know of the situation, to which he replied: "I don't mean to come across as though I'm trying to prevent you from making a complaint, but it won't change anything. We have nothing to do with the hotel." HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT!... I've never experienced such a thing in my life! Housekeeping entered my room TWICE with their own key while I was in the room.... I don't think that that is acceptable! No knocking or anything.. They just barged in! The water barrel for the sauna is out of order, and the wooden pot to put water onto the coal has holes in it, so I had to use my water bottle to fill water from the toilet and use it for the coal. For this reason, I burned my face and hand while trying to do this, and none of the phones in the basement (pool, gym and toilet area) were working. It really is unsafe! When we checked in, we were told that the breakfast buffet was quite vast, but it is...
Walking distance from Tivoli Gardens Very modern hotel Hop in - hop out bus stop at the front door leads to all attractions
Was in town for the night. Great location as it was near the train station and was a stop on the tour I did. Room was everything we needed and in very good shape
