After an 8 hour flight and a 2 and a half hour long bus ride, I get to this hotel only to find out that the owner double booked my brother's, my friend's, and my room and gave them to someone else. I was tired, angry, and had to pay double somewhere else for the last minute reservation. Talk about a bad start to a vacation.

    It seemed newly built.

No tv in my bedroom #4 & wi-go didn't work in bedroom #4. Also staff did not mention that they had a pool, I found out the day I was leaving. Also when I arrived there staff sent me to another hotel to stay at. Don't know why??? But over all I did enjoy my stay at the Hotel Michaela.

the location was very good, so was the layout of my apartment. It was very close to all ammenities.

the noise between rooms was exceptionly loud. This was not a familyoriented hotel There were no services(bar, etc) as are common in other hotels. It was overpriced for what you got.

The beaches are good, the big and good shop Playaro is not far from the hotel. Street is quiet. If you need something- ask for Bruno he is a manager and he helped a lot. Room is ok for that money, balcony is good. Bathroom is OK.

The pool is small , the towels and sheet are awful, old and dirty, the wardroob is unappropriate, its smells so bad so we kept all things in suitcases. Very little stuff in the kitchen and electricity is awful... Personal don't speak English. The walls in the hotel is too thin so you can hear every word from your neibours.

The location is very good, close to beaches, grocery stores and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the balcony even though the view was nothing exceptional.

The kitchen needs more pots and pans. There was only an old, dirty pan when we arrived and we managed to get a pot. The bathroom could be cleaner. The sofa bed in the living is rather uncomfortable.

A very cozy and nice small hotel. The location is excellent and the staff is friendly. The owner is great, very welcoming and helpful. The appartment was clean and comfortable. Wifi was working perfectly.

The pool area is very small and the view is not that great but if you are looking for a cheap and simple acommodation it's definitely a great choise. The staff doesn't speak english that well but the owner does.

I have traveled and rented many apartments and stayed in many hotels across the world and this dump of a place by far is the worst. I rented a room with a terrace for a week and was in a week of misery. He does not except credit cards and after I handed him the cash he told me if I want a remote, it is an extra $20 because people who have stayed there have taken the remotes. He told me a/c is extra and gave me a speech of how expensive electric is there to maintain the place as if I really cared but he offered a ceiling fan. Now, when I stepped into the apartment it seemed nice but there was no ceiling fan. He told me sorry but units are all reserved and gave me two fans. Throughout my one-week stay, I only saw five people who were renting from this dump. The bathroom was very dirty with dirt rings around the toilet and bathtub. My girlfriend speaks Spanish and asks the housekeeper about this and she said that is just how it is-dirty. I even tried with the bathroom scrubber to scrub it out and she was right. It cannot come out. I had to tell the owner there was no showerhead attachment because I was not going to take baths there. He told me he would get a new one and moments later he came with one but it was not new. The shower rod came falling down when the shower curtains were pulled. The owner had many weeks in advance to clean up the apartment or at least give us the best and cleanest one there so that I would have had a great time and wrote positive comments about this dump. His business and common sense skills are very low I see. There is no security what so ever. In the main lobby is the security that is a Dominican man who the cheap owner probably pays little to nothing to sit at night and watch who comes in and out. This man’s eyes were always tired and red. He actually knocked on my door 10pm at night and my girlfriend said he ask how many fans we have and she said one.

The place was very clean and Jenny (employee) was always helpful and friendly. Just a short 10 minute walk to the beach or grocery. I will use it again if visiting the Dominican Republic.

My reservation stated the establishment accepted credit card only to find out when I got there the owner wanted cash. Would be nice to have an ironing board and iron in the room.
