My husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and had a blast! The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very nice, with only a few minor things to complain about. The beach was nice and relaxing, very few people trying to sell you things and the ones who are were quite friendly and took "no thanks" for an answer more easily than the folks on the beach at our previous resort. Also, the people in the brown shirts and Fedoras trying to sell you on the luxury time share resort weren't as pushy or in your face as much as they were at our previous resort. Snorkeling at the beach was a lot of fun and there are some small rock reefs close to the shore that were cool to look at; much better at Sosua, worth the extra $ and half day trip! The pool was large and heated, we had no problem finding loungers each day to lay on. Food in the buffet changed daily and was quite delicious, lots of variety. We ate at 2 of the 3 other restaurants and really enjoyed those as well - the Mexican was surprisingly delicious! We would highly recommend this resort! All in all it was a great trip.
The bathtub in our room leaked when we tried to use it and flooked the bathroom however, they came very quickly after we called the front desk and fixed it right away. The air conditioner vent dripped in the front entryway of our room, minorly but still a bit of an annoyance. And the TV got very few of the channels listed on the guide in the room - not a huge deal but when we were looking to relax in the room and zone out a bit after a day in the sun it was a little annoying. There weren't many waves at the beach and much more grass under the water than at our previous resort, which is fine if you don't mind that sort of thing (I personally don't like a bunch of stuff touching my feet under water).
WiFi is unreal price. .. food are the same ....my room have a A/C with dropped water to the floor for all 5 days of my stay.....the A/C never going less of 70*F...
Staff genuinely care and very professional
the staff were very friendly, the Rodizio and el Cayouco restaurant
some noise on the room
Food,animationand cleanning areas.
The hot water was never hot it was warm at best.
We stayed at this place for 4 days/3 nights. I would not go back to this place. There issues with the room, bathroom door a mess, things falling off the bathroom wall. Sure it got fixed but only after I have had enough and complaint. Service to the door was odd. They forgot something everyday, if it was not the towels, it was the beers or soft drinks. There is no milk in the bar fridge so you have to go to a near by bar, unless you are in a block which has a ice room. We were in block 8. Everyday at the buffett restaurant, as you exit you are hounded by these guys trying to sell you -although they don't admit to selling anything- to try an visit Be Live vip vacations, and every day you are harrased by any on of them. As they change from day to day every day is a new hassle. I found this distateful and I was beginning to feel like, what a bore when I exited the buffet restaurant. The areas around the pool look old and worn. The bar drinks are ok. The gardens look dry and somewhat attended. The food is ok. You best try a dinner at their Mexican/Brazilian and Gourmet. These are the only thing saving this place from total disaster. Somepeople may like this place, but that's because they may not have experience within dr about other resorts. The buffet restaurant floor has loose planks of wood. If you are seated in an area where they are very loose your table, chair and drinks will shake and move as people walk around. This is annoying. Try to make a tea, yes not everyone likes tea, but we do. So..there is no kettle to make a tea in your room. The service guy suggested we use the coffee maker...?! Are you serious? The bar fridge hardly cooled things down. The beach is nice, but as soon as you leave the water you will be harrased by someone trying to sell you something. The map shows a beach bar...There was none. There was only the snack bar. It is windy this time of year but we don't mind that. Booking via Booking.

The Pool and The Brazilian Restaurant
Some of the restrooms had parts falling off and so did the locker room for the Jacuzzi.
Large resort with amazing swimming pools close to the Atlantic ocean. It's a real paradise for a good price. The food was tasty.
Receptionist work really slow. We spent more that 1 hour at the reception because they couldn't find our reservation. They asked me to buy internet for 25 dollars and send a confirmation to their e-mail. What is more, they charged double amount of money from my credit card.. Thanks God I noticed that at the hotel so they made refund. Be very careful! Also there was a bad smell in our room because the bathroom is quite humid.
POOL BEACH ROOMS STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND WELCOMING THE BELL BOY WAS COMEDICALLY PREPARED FOR HIS TOUR OF THE FACILITY AS WE WERE DRVEN TO OUR GREAT BEACH FRONT ROOM WHICH WAS MASSIVE WITH SOME WORK ON THE FOOD BAR AND ENTERTAINMENT THIS HAS THE BONES TO BE A GREAT PLACE
BUFFET WASNT AS VARIED NOR TASTY AS SOME OF MY FRIENDS REMEMBER FROM PAST VISITS. I HAD NEVER BEEN BEFORE BUT WASNT IMPRESSED. THEATER WAS EXTREMELY HOT AND SHOW WAS HORRIBLE DRINKS AT EVERY BAR WERE WATERED DOWN THE FOOD AT THE SNACK BAR ALSO NOT THE GREATEST AT MOST A MEH THE TOWEL SITUATION WAS AWKWARDLY SET UP WHERE YOU HAD TO CHANGE TOWELS AT 2 PM AND HAND THEM BACK FOR YOUR CARDS AT 6 IT WAS TOO COMPLICATED JUST GIVE ME A NEW TOWEL WHEN I HAND IN THE OLD ONE ITS LIKE THEY DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH TOWELS
The people and food was so nice everyone's was very pleasant .we want to go back
Could use more variety at. Beach snack bar
The pool was big and always kept clean.
The food, rooms needed to be updated, the smell in the room, it had a mildew smell, the cleanliness of the room, the beach had a lot of seaweed, not very clean, not any activities for the children or adults. The gift shops were over priced and the food was always the same.
The room was clean and the air condition worked well. The buffet food was ok.
The ad indicated a casino on the property but it was closed down. There was a lock box in the room but you had to purchase a lock to secure your items.
I got robbed and the only thing the recepcionist did for me is laugh at my face! 30mn waiting for a drink at the pool No chaging of towels in the same day Dirty sheets and no replacement even upon query! No refill whatsoever of the (very poor) mini bar
The resort was good, clean and the staff were friendly.
I didn't like that they got our original room wrong, we asked for a king no smoking and were put in a smoking room. The process to switch took about 2 hours and we had to pay for an upgrade. The food was also mediocre, lots of variety but if you didn't get to the buffet right when it opened you could tell it had been sitting for a while.
The staff was amazing and very attentive to every need. The decoration in the rooms were a bit outdated but the location was great, the view from our balcony was great! The beach was everything and more, it rained for a day or two but that didn't stop us from enjoying the water.
The food wasn't good.. The drinks were watered down unless you asked for pure shots
This was my 2nd stay here. I really like the layout, buildings and grounds. The pool and beach are fantastic. The room was very good. The entertainment is a mix of good and fair but I don't go there for that anyway. The staff/service are very good.
The food is just ok. Unfortunately this is the standard for this area I believe. I have stayed at 5 other resorts in this area and the food is all just ok. The onsite shops are very expensive. Go outside the resort for shops. There are ATM problems.
New Years Eve gala dinner was fantastic! The kitchen made spectacular displays, and the food was top notch. Rooms were large, airy and clean.
Problems with my reservation and hotel operator/front desk were no help. Reservation service also no help. Luckily it worked out in the end. Diving excursion operator not available when needed, had to keep switching days/times.
The grounds were nice and the location was good.
I didn't like that they don't offer free wifi in the lobby area like a Lot of good all-inclusive resorts do. They charge $25 dollars a day or $60 a week for wifi that is insane. They hardly pay their poor workers $25 a week for 60hrs of work.
Location, pool, restaurants, food, beach... All staff was very friendly except reception and concierge. Late checkout (15:00) was charged ~20$ which seems reasonable, considering the extra meal for the whole family. If you have an afternoon flight from POP take this opportunity. Parking is free, but space is unlikely enough if the hotel is fully booked. Overall impression: we would go there again.
WiFi is not free unlike advertised on Booking.com. Be prepared to pay the rip-off fee of 60$ per week (for one single device only!), I guess a local SIM card with data volume of one of the fife DomRep GSM providers is much cheaper. I had a big argument with reception and concierge about the free WiFi in the room. They claim WiFi is operated by another company and they cannot hand out vouchers. After insisting I was given access to the Lounge (away from hotel rooms) with a WiFi password, but only after 48h and only during the day. This wasn't too useful anymore because we were already about to leave.
Food and location was excellent.
There is nothing i dislike
