    The beach was beautiful, the pools were alot of fun. The wait staff was excellent, they were courteous and attentive. The food at breakfast and lunch were ok to good.

    The theme restaurants for dinner were very disappointing.

    I liked a lot about the complex. I loved the fact that there was a saparate accommodation for adults and familys with young children. The food was mostly very good.

    We did'nt like the fact that when we arrived we we're fooled into thinking that we were getting a private tour of the complex, when in fact it was a ploy to try to get us to buy into a time share. It was very intimidating. Apart from that it was a great holiday all round.

    Very nice hotel! Great staff, nice location, good restaurants. Nice beach, clean rooms and very good drinks :) Everything was perfect!

    Breakfast buffet, our awesome room, Carlos at swim up bar, Rafael at beach pool bar, pool beds, staff at Tapas restaurant. Birthday cake delivered to room was awesome. VIP upgrade.

    Wish we knew about Tapas restaurant on day one. Room service didn't answer phone sometimes. Food at Steakhouse and Mexican restaurant wasn't good.

    We liked the hospitality. We had a few minor issues upon check in but they were handled immediately by the staff. Just a missing hammock and the tv cord was bad but we got a new room. :)

    That 98% of the staff and 98% of the stay no one knew enough Enlish lanuage, but we managed off the little spanish we knew:)

    I loved the staff

    I didn't like the food and the ants in the rooms from the flowers.

    Really excellent food! Various theme restaurants, my favourite was the Catalonian one. Harmonic hotel & resort. Dream beach with bar and juice bar. Good activities offered, like golf and excursions.

    Too good W-Lan coverage all over the place, which leads to the point that the whole crowd constantly is in their smartphones, even on the beach. The coverage should be more selective. :)))

    The stay was enjoyable and most of the staff was very friendly. The grounds were kept clean and the pools and chairs were comfortable. The drinks were always made well.

    Most of the food had no taste or was very salty. The Japanese restaurant sushi was very bad and we left after tasting it.

    Everything was great! The hotel was very clean and the staff was super nice!! We had a great time in this hotel!

    We had a pleasant staying at the Hotel. The whole staff was great. Everyone at the restaurants and all the others places around the hotel were always helpfull. The waiter at the Sea Blue restaurant, Julio Morillo was the best! Always ready to help us with everything we needed. We also would like to thank the waiters at the Thalassa Restaurant, Moise and Jorge that were always smiling and very nice to talk to. At least, but not last, we'd like to congratulate the Restaurants Supervisor Ruben Bento, that was great. He was always available and helpful, and a great person to talk to. If anyone needs anything, he is the guy that will help you. I sure recommend to anyone the Hotel, and hopefully we will be back soon.

    It's a 5 star hotel, and some services (wifi, restaurants, sea: too many algae, comfort) are not aligned to the standard. But the worse is to find american people already drunk from 10 A.m in the morning... That's disgusting. I perfectly understand american and russian people are the best clients, because most of the clients come from those countries, but it is not acceptable that behaviour in a 5 stars hotel!!! And the guest relation office does nothing.

    Stayed at the catalonia royal bavaro from a week. Stayed in the honeymoon superior deluxe. The room was beautiful! As for the property, there were two pools and both were very clean. Property is on bavaro beach and I must say that the beach is absolutely amazing! Lots of leaves from tree, but it was actually warmer than the pools.

    Their food was something I did not enjoy. I was extremely hungry by the end of the trip. The meat just didn't taste try. Actually, most dishes did not taste right, I was very disappointed. Also, the night life at the royal catalonia is non existent! So if you are expecting some fun at night, do not stay here! We had to go to hard rock several times because there was just more things to do at night.

    The crew was great The food was very good, a lot of options.

    The room had a bad smell of humidity all the time. The room felt wet all over the day.

    I liked the food, presentation, service and ambiance at the Tapa restaurant , the most. The beach was superior and the sand very clean compare to St. Croix, where I am at the moment. The grounds are spectacular!

    I really did not like the location, would not go back for that specific reason. Also, the Italian restaurant was to rushed and loud- the employees screamed at each other too much for my comfort, especially since I understand the language, the a/c there was pretty hot! There where some children at my villa- 38- I did complained since they woke me up at around two in the morning, the security people took their time to get to them. They need to pick up the dirty plates from the doors when guests eat late at night or breakfast, this was not something good to see far into the morning. Punta Cana sure needs shuttles for guests to visit other properties with the proper identifications, of course. There is a need for a topless beach for tourists that enjoy sunbathing.

    I absolutely loved my stay at the Catalonia Royal Bavaro. From the staff, to the decor in the rooms, spacious rooms, walking distance from room to the beach, drinks, food..everything was awesome! We stayed at the adults only resort and it was quiet and peaceful and absolutely night, we would walk next door to the family resort and enjoyed the entertainment and nightlife. No watered down drinks and not cutting corners with food. Every restaurant is top notch. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I'm already looking forward to going back!

    The only negative was the heat..and some restaurants could have used better air conditioning...the heat and humidity was bad, but nothing anybody can do about that!
