I didnt like the room service food

Very beautifully landscaped resort. The front desk staff and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful. The concierge Francisco was great and made numerous phone calls to retrieve my jacket which I left in the cab from the airport. The wonderful staff was a big factor to make our stay a memorable one. The Junior Suite was large with a comfortable bed and a large round bath tub. In addition it had a spacious tiled shower and a separate toilet. We enjoyed the balcony with its hammock for a quiet moment after the beach. The food in the various restaurants was good and we liked the beach restaurant, open 24hours, when we couldn't eat during regular hours. Lots of activities on site and a fun nightly varying show. Great place. We'll definitely go back

The best part of it was our room, which is why we chose the hotel in the first place. We had a loft suite with a private infinity pool and jacuzzi inside. We loved our room, which was very important, since we were on our honeymoon. It was also raining for half of our trip, so the room was where we stayed a lot. Absolutely recommend this for honeymooning couples, who want to spend all their time together in a quiet and beautiful place. The good thing is that we could also use all of the facilities of the neighbouring Catalonia Bavaro Beach, which was a family resort and had much more activities and sports and music. So we could have our piece and quiet and switch to action whenever we wanted. Also, having access to this hotel really expanded our dining options. We almost never ate at the same place twice in the 6 nights we were there.

Before you read this, know that we absolutely loved our time at this hotel!!! The following is not a complaint, but rather an honest review of the things that you would encounter there that might not be as good as you'd expect. The weakest part about the hotel was its level of service. While some staff were extremely friendly and helpful (like Carlos who checked us in and sent us 3 complimentary bottles of liquor to our room when he found out it was our honeymoon), others were almost annoyed with having to do anything for us at all. For example, we would ask for a glass of wine with our lunch, which would not come for about 10 minutes. So we would kindly ask again, and the staff would nearly scoff and roll their eyes at us. Then they'd take another 10 minutes to serve us. The food was also not very good. I've been to other Punta Cana resorts that were WAY better. The hotel is full of elderly couples, so if you are looking to meet young people and party, this is not your place. On the other hand, if you want privacy and romance: you've got it! The beach was nice, but there was not a single wave. It's a very quiet part of the bay and there are not even ripples. So if you like playing in waves, there is no chance you'd get this here. The nightly show at Catalonia Bavaro Beach was awful. I've been to many Caribbean resorts and this was by far the worst and most-amateur production. A couple of other small things: 1) The cleaning staff NEVER knocked on the door before entering to clean. This could make for a very awkward situation, so either, put your deadlock on, or hang up your do not disturb sign on the door handle, when you don't want to be walked in on. 2) Our remote-control curtains were awesome! BUT our remote seemed to be tuned to the same frequency as all the other remotes in neighbouring rooms. As a result, the curtains would often open or close on their own, sometimes at particularly uncomfortable moments. Just something to keep in mind. :)

Some of your staff in your eating areas were not friendly !! Would not come back for that reason!! We had room service and the guy seamed to have a real chip on his shoulder, I guess that is what you get when you book with one of the cheape hotels drinks were very bad, stick with the beer

El servicio deja bastante que desear, no habia maleteros a la llegada, la falta de organización en los restaurantes y en el servicio de habitación. Deja muchas interrogantes para recomendar.

Oproti vedlejšímu hotelu catalonia bavaro, byl tady klid od děti, od hlučné zábavy na pláži i mimo ni, kvalitni jídlo a pití, pokojový servis, pokoje samotne. Také soukroma pláž. Klienti catalonia bavaro sem nemeli přístup.

Nemožnost využití hotelového golfového hřiště a driving range zdarma, v cene AI. Také staff, v proshopu, kde je nutné si hru objednat a platit je prilis mlady a neprofesionální (patrí k hotelu catalonia bavaro, nikoliv Royal). Velmi malé a špatně vybavené fitcentrum. Překvapivě horší než ve vedlejším Catalonia bavaro. Slabší welcome servis a čistota stolů v Italské restauraci (nemění spinave ubrusy cely večer). Omluvou je, ze tato restaurace je v prostoru catalonia bavaro, kde toho zjevne vázne víc. Vysoké ceny za jen prumerne masáže. Inzeruji WiFi v celem arealu ale signál je tak slabý, ze je vetsinu dne nefunkční.

Gostei muito da área da praia.. Muito linda e romântica! Gostei tambem da decoração rústica e harmoniosa do hotel. Tudo muito acolhedor.. Limpeza impecável! Staff atenciosos e sorridentes Gerente do hotel também muito atencioso!

Falta uma equipe de entretenimento .. Precisa melhorar a culinária, Ter mais frutos do mar variados.. Serviço de manutenção ruim. Ficamos com vazamento na pia do banheiro, q não conseguiu ser consertado. Cofre também deu problemas.. Nao foi reposta espuma de banho p banheira.. Tivemos problemas com um dos garçons dos restaurante próximo a piscina, q me forcou a aceitar um prato q eu nao queria.. Pedi peixe, e ele me serviu frango.. Ficou insistindo.. Muito chato! E o frango estava seco demais.

Hotel confortable, buena relación calidad/precio, habitaciones amplias y cómodas pero con olor a humedad, comida de primera, la presentación de tragos no esta al nivel de un hotel 5 estrellas y una margarita te la puede servir en un vaso plástico...

Camera a fost placuta, mancarea a fost super buna, plaja curata si in permanata ingrijita, prospape curate si posibilitatea de a schimba prosopul de plaja ori de cate ori doresti, zona verde ingrijita.

Internetul in camere nu functiona si toata lumea era nemultumita, desi in fiecare camere spune ca exista wirless zone free nu reuseai nici de pe terasa sa te conectezi.

добросовестное отношение персонала, чистота и порядок, отель можно расматривать для отдыха класса "релакс" минимум анимации, публика очень спокойная, мало соотечественников, кормят отменно.

в номерах отеля пора сделать ремонт и обновить интерьер.

Muita tranquilidade (crianças não são aceitas), comida boa, variada e farta - o sistema all inclusive funcionou bem - quarto amplo e confortável, bom serviço de praia.

Os quartos eram limpos em horários totalmente aleatórios. Quando chove forte, as vias para pedestres inundam, os hóspedes são obrigados a transitar com os pés imersos em poças profundas. Devia haver um guarda-chuva no nosso quarto, mas não havia. Pedimos um ao telefone e demorou 45 minutos para entregarem.

Nos hemos hospedado un grupo de 6 amigos en el hotel por 4 dias...comencemos por lo positivo. El hotel tiene buena ubicacion, el lobby es agradable, sencillo pero bien decorado y muy agradable. Las habitaciones (Suites Deluxe) son de buen espacio, muy claras, excelentemente decoradas, jacuzzi, baño, balcon, etc., posee todas las facilidades para sentirte bien. El hotel tienen jardines bien cuidados, piscinas muy tranquilas, restaurantes tematicos bien ambientados, playa super tranquila, tiene algas, pero nada exagerado, no hay problemas para tener lugar bajo la sombra y los mozos pasan frecuentemente. Los empleados en su generalidad son amables y con buena cara.

- Playa: A diferencia de otros hoteles con problemas de algas, en este nunca hacian la recoleccion de algas, ni limpiaban, solo se limitaban a recoger los vasos. - Bares: Un desastre total en servicio, te servian un mismo trago de 4 formas ( sin servilleta, sin limon, en copa, luego en vaso...). Al segundo dia en ningun bar tenian jugo de Cramberry, Champagna, Vino Tinto, en los 4 bares se habia acabado y los "almacenes" estaban cerrados. - Restaurantes: Talasa, Gran Caribe (Catalonia Bavaro), Snack Playa, en todos la comida es un desastre, sobrecondimentadas, frias, inconsistentes en sabor. Pedi un pollo a la plancha y me llevaron una pieza sangrando...si tienen un equipo en la cocina que no sabe que el pollo no tiene medios terminos...tienen problemas. - Desayuno: A las 10AM pedias cosas basicas y no las tenian (mangu, jamon, etc.). - Tienda Royal Gift Shop: Nunca abrio en toda la estadia. - Room Service: Te llevan la orden sin servilletas, ni cubiertos. -Musica: Es totalmente inexistente, ningun bar o restaurante esta ambientado con musica, solo en el Snack la misma salsa por 4 dias, 8 canciones que no paraban dia tras dia. Es un hotel sin alegria, aburrido y deprimente en cuanto a los ambientes y su musica. - Moscas, mimes y mosquitos por doquier!!! Fumigan todas las tardes, pero todas las fuentes y lagos estan verdes y con sedimentos...en todos los restaurantes hay moscas. Nota: pasan fumigando por todas las areas y no informan, en cualquier momento vas por los jardines y terminas en una nube de fumigacion. - Disco: La musica 20 años atras...un desastre, bachatas y merengues de decadas atras. En resumen es un hotel que vende un nive de exclusividad para adultos, que no lo logra ni remotamente. El publico es muy tranquilo y puedes descansar, pero por lo demas no vale la pena. Comparado con el Dreams Palm Beach esta a siglos de calidad y servicio, lo cual es lamentable por la infraestructura que tienen.

O hotel é ótimo e o atendimento, também. O restaurante italiano é excelente. Ficamos em uma suíte com piscina privativa e isto fez uma enorme diferença.

A única reclamação foi a ausência de gelo no apartamento. Tivemos que pedir gelo todos os dias e sempre demorou a chegar. Numa das vezes, o gelo não veio e fomos buscar num dos bares.

Hila a tod@s Nuestra experiencia en el hotel Catalina Royal Bávaro ha sido mas que satisfactoria. Ha sido justo lo que esperábamos. Un lugar relajante, paradisiaco y súper recomendable. Nosotros solemos ser bastante exigentes en cuanto a hoteles y siempre intentamos no calificar estos por sus estrellas porque como todos sabemos según el origen pueden variar bastante. Solo nos gusta calificarlos como recomendables o como no recomendables. Os detallo un poco mas por si os sirve nuestra exeperiencia. Mi mujer y yo (34 y 30) hemos estado durante una semana en este hotel y hemos salido encantados con todo. El hotel se nota que está enfocado a servicio mas exclusivo en cuanto al trato y sensación de los huéspedes. En este sentido si ofrece algo más exclusivo que cualquiera de los todo incluidos y que incluso la parte del mismo hotel (catalonia bávaro Beach). La comida es muy buena, todo es a la carta, solamente hay buffet en el desayuno aunque también tienes la posibilidad de pedir a la carta. Quizá le falte un poco de variedad en la carta. Habrá unas 10 opciones fijas mas las cuatro opciones diarias "recomendaciones del chef". (en cada uno de los restaurantes, pero en nuestra opinión el mejor es el thalassa. Al ser una parte exclusiva y no ser demasiados huéspedes es suficiente con los tres restaurantes que tienes en el royal mas la posibilidad de utilizar cualquiera de los del bávaro Beach. (menos de cinco minutos andando). Otra cosa que nos gusto mucho son las comidas que preparan a medio día tanto en la playa como en la piscina. ( hacen un día a la semana paella de marisco y langosta en la playa y parrilladas alternando un día en l playa y otro en la piscina húmeda) muy buenas por cierto. (nos encanto la sensación de que nos preparasen una parrillada en la misma playa...fresquitos y disfrutando de la comida. Los cocteles y bebidas son de primera calidad... Nos hemos hinchado a piñas coladas con ron Barcelo imperial ( de 40€ la botella).

Lo único con lo qu no quedamos muy satisfechos fue con el spa, pero también nosotros, estamos muy acostumbrados a este servicio y en orígenes donde son muy especialistas como es China, India, España, etc).

Sin palabras, increible hotel. 100% recomendable, lo unico malo fue regresar a casa.

Excelente o hotel e o atendimento. O conjunto com o outro Hotel Catalonia, que fica praticamente junto, perfazem um ambiente espectacular, muito receptivo. Jardins maravilhosos e bem cuidados. A comida excelente e farta. Os jovens empregados, muito alegres e cordiais, com muito poucos destoando disto os quais, com certeza, serão treinados e reciclados . Volto lá, certamente.

очень классный номер с собственным маленьким бассейном - прямо мечта. очень приличная еда - в отличие от соседнего отеля Catalonia Bavaro, без Royal, где жили мои друзья, и где была такая дешёвая турция по обстановке, в самом худшем понимании слова. а у нас - тапас-бар, вот прямо совсем хороший, почти гурманский ресторан.

не понравился вечно не работающий интернет, маленький пляж ничего, но море - прямо бердянск, дико мелкое. какой-то мужик ушёл пешком до горизонта и виднелся там эффектно вдалеке, воды ему было примерно по колено. там, где новая застройка - всё красиво и круто. а где 70-тная (когда и был построен отель, как я понимаю), прямо пионерский лагерь. им явно пора затеять новый ремонт.

La companyia té un acord amb una companyia de taxis exageradament car. Ens demanaven 25 dòlars per un trajecte que els empleats de l'hotel ens confessaven que feien per 3. A més a més es van negar a trucar a una altra companyia. Un detall molt lleig. És una llàstima perquè tot el demés va estar molt bé.

The staff were so friendly and made you feel welcomed. The food was superb!!! Loved the environment, it was so peaceful. Room Service is the best!!! I would defenately recommend this resort and am looking forward in returning

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cette établissement. Les points forts de cet hôtel : - petite structure face aux gros complexes de l'île. - l'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel (malgré une clientèle peu francophone, ils sont nombreux à parler français et en toute occasion sont à vos petits soins : restaurants, bar, piscine...) - la taille et la propreté de la chambre (spacieuse et passage 2 fois par jour de la femme de chambre) - les restaurants : Très agréablement surpris! 3 restaurants : 1. "Sea blu" (restaurant de la plage) où tous les soirs on peut déguster de la langouste grillée et le midi plutôt snack américain. 2. "tapa..." le soir uniquement. Une très belle carte, le meilleur à mon goût, cuisine française. 3. "le restaurant principal" : carte + suggestion du jour. Le chef est espagnol, cuisine très bien, nous avons même degusté quelques bonnes pièces de bœuf (pour les carnivores...). Le seul bémol : les desserts... En bref, que du bonheur pour une destination qui parfois fait peur sur le côté usine à touriste! Un bon rapport qualité-prix! - les infrastructures : Mobilier de plage, piscines, bars... - la plage : malgré les critiques précédemment lues, il n'y a pas tant que ça d'algues et travaillent d'arrache pied pour nettoyer ! La seule chose qui nous en a parfois écartés c'est le vent...

top resort, great adult-only place, food is good especially for all inclusiv resort, great beach, no plastic sunbeds, the rooms (junior deluxe suite) fits with great design, try to get into the bulding 36 top floor (close to the beach), no animation...

it is an all inclusiv resort and you have to like it...
