Monte Cristi is quite uncomfortable to reach if you haven't your one car - if you have it's easy! The city itself is more or less clean, well structured and it's easy to find through. Except of the salt mines and a the mountain "El Morro" there is nothing to explore. If it's on your way to where ever you can stop there for a night but not more... we wouldn't go there for a second time...

The people are sooo nice, it's unbeliaveble.
The people are sooo nice, it's unbeliaveble. I personally wanted to stay longer, there is so much stuff to do and so little time. The activity I most recommend is kayaking, you will not regret it. I do not know how to swim myself, so I was a little scared at the beginning but, it was just wonderful. One of the best experiences I've ever had. The food is affordable and delicious, simply a great experience.

Extremely far from the capital, but definitely worth it!
Extremely far from the capital, but definitely worth it! Great virgin beach, awesome scenery. I consider 2 days is perfect to stay; no more. The roads are well kept. There's a lot of dogs, please feed them :))
