Hospitality and Location.
Good location in a nice part of the historical city. Manager was friendly and gave advice for tours and taxi.
Bed was hard, shower was difficult to use. Street was cobbled with access not easy and restricted. breakfast was poor quality.
I booked for 2 nites. But left after 1 nite. No ac. Tv. Noisy fan. I liked leaving this place
The staff was great! The location is absolutely perfect if you want to travel back in to the colonial times. I arrived at almost 3am and I was attended right away. I also left late and there were no issues. The breakfast was basic, but delicious. I would definitely go again.
I didn't like the hassle if getting there because if the street construction, but that's not the hostel's fault. They could also improve the router for the wifi because it barely reached the back rooms.
very helpful and friendly stuff and a wonderful place to stay and to have breakfast in front of historical ruins
The hostel is under new management/ownership ( March 1 ) and is under going some painting and small construction changes. The owner from Spain is very nice and accommodating. I had hot water in the shower. Shops/bars/bank/ruins/tourist attractions are all close by. I kept my pros and cons of this place as honest and fair as possible, coming from a traveler who has experienced life in several countries ( Middle East, North/South America and the Caribbean.
the staff could be more welcoming and friendly when a guest first arrives. The Wi-Fi was not strong in the back room.
The location next to the ruins.
They didnt speak any English at all or at least we think they did not. No drinking water. There was no hot water in the shower. They did not clean the rooms at all. No fire exits and bared windows. We were locked in and out of the hostel because the receptionist was absent and had the door key. There was an an accident in the ruins and they did not help us at all with getting another guest to a hospital. We think we were ripped off under the guise of a non existent tax on top of our room rate.
Location Breakfast outside
Black bathroom Internet was not workiem whole afternoon and night
It's located in a nice area of Zona Colonial. If you're there on a Sunday, you'd be able to experience the party in the ruinas San Francisco. The hostal is right next to the excitement. If you're looking for a nice quiet Sunday night, this place is not for you. I loved my private room, there was enough space for my friend and I. The room was really cute, it was nice to have cable TV and a fan. I had NO problems with mosquitos. I will definitely frequent this place when I visit the city!
My Wi-Fi wasn't very strong in my room, so I had to go downstairs to the lobby to use it. That's not a deal breaker, though.
