it was difficult to get to as only certain taxis were willing to go all the way out there.
I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. truly a unique experience to be in the middle of a jungle
They didn't accept credit cards, beakfast and dinner were included but we didn't know before checking in.
The place is simply amazing, the staff is very friendly, the zipline is awesome, very nice waterfall inside the facilities. Great food!
Nature, atmosphere, you truly feel relaxed and can forget about all the troubles. Zip line is a must! If you like nature that's the place to go!
A little confusion as to whether food, drinks were included in our stay.
The scenery was beautiful, it was especially nice be surrounded by nature as we slept. All of the staff were accommodating, and super fun to hang out with too!
Don't buy anything in the hotel like cigars or jewelry you can buy the same stuff for 1/4 of the price in a normal shop. We were there during the wet season but the waterfall was not open even then as the power station has taken the water so I wonder if it's ever open now.
It is a very special place and it's not built on the cheep everything is properly built. Cool rooms. I think one night is enough. You must do the zip line if you are there. You get a discount if you stay at the hotel.
Credit cards cannot be used here cash only
Friendly staff hot showers close to zipline
Loved the location and the beach nearby. Very nice people.
The bathrooms are a bit small and shared, but work just fine. Can't flush the toilet paper down the toilet. Lighting in your room is very dim. Not good for reading. More like houses on stilts. Only saw 1 real tree house, but you do feel like you are in a tree.
Food was amazing. Breakfast and dinner was included in price. Staff was helpful and friendly. Lots of games to play in the evening, like cards and board games. Beautiful scenery, plants, noises. Zip line very fun. Free drinks after zipping.
The last 1 mile to the hotel is an off road experience. Arrive in a rugged vehicle in daylight. In the end , it becomes part of the adventure.
We travelled with my wife and young teen kids. We stayed in a luxurious all inclusive resort in Punta Cana and a Todo Blanco in Las Galeras. Everyone thought that the tree house stay was the highlight if the trip. Beach is beautiful, staff is exceptional, food is fresh, the setting is remarkable.
There was some confusion upon arrival, and they didn't seem to be aware we were coming? We were asked to pay as soon as we got there with no prior warning that the card we made the reservation with we couldn't use to pay the bill--it is a cash only hotel? As is typical in the DR the beach fish shacks nearby are better to eat at then the meals at the hotel. Also, I wish there was wi-fi but ...I won't hold that against them.
The location is lovely and the 'treehouse' is built beautifully. You feel like you're in the jungle. It's extremely relaxing and peaceful.
One thing struck me however as a thing to consider, one of which the owner is not to blame. Here you live with others and nature, so if you are a loud and self loving person you might wont to tone it down. For a feew hours i was prepared to leave the paradise beacause i could not stand a ´self loving multi milioneer´ and my feeling was shared booth by other guest as well as many of the staff. So if you lack the fundamental respect for others keep away you will only destroy the experience for your fellow visitors.
the place was absolutely awesome. The owner has achieved is magnificent and the vision is amazing. The staff (David and Mette) was huge nice and took care of me as a solo traveler as a brother. The bath in the waterfall was wonderful so also nature. The bike tour down to the beach resulted in that I was invited home to families without any counterclaims which was a highlight. Since I liked that all staff had Christian background - and in my world, this is no good whatever direction
Just a lovely small paradise in the middle of the jungle with sweet staff people and by a lovely beach (though sometimes it would not be suitable for swimming). The food at the hotel is excellent, you get awesome sleep listening to the sounds of nature and, if you wann go and see other places near Samana, you are just 18 kmts far away from downtown! (Don't get me Wrong, once you leave the town and get into the jungle all the connection with exterior world Is lost, which I really was looking forward and very much appreciated during my stay). 100% recommended. I've inly seen a place like this in very few places in the Caribbean.
Food quality needs to kick it up a couple of notches as to drinks and frozen meals.
Amazing Getaway to totally disconnect and spend quality time with friends/partner. Dream tree houses in the middle of natures best. Great beach in close proximity.
A completely unique experience. Absolutely amazing and healing for the soul. Definitely worth the trip!!
Magical, hidden place. The pictures on internet are nice, but in real life it's breathtaking. Adventurous but with luxury. Sleeping in the treehouse with no walls or windos makes you feel one with nature. Walking around with the tree houses in the middle of the jungle is a real pretty sight. In the room you have a bed, hanging chairs and a mosquito-net, all you need in the jungle. :) The facilities are clean and the food is fantastic. Priceless skies at night....what a stars. Chilling in the lounge-area is great, a perfect view. Follow the road to the beach and enjoy the silence, fish at Clarissa's and the scenery! The staff was great, made us feel welcome and at home. Alex was helpful and fun to talk to. We love how Bart made his dream come true and at the same time preserved the nature and engages the local community. Thanks for this experience!
An incredible location, secluded, in the rainforest. You truly are one with nature. A unique experience unlike any other!
Only 4 months old so lacking certain things, tough road for motorbikes, staff is still learning their way around. But regardless, still very recommended!
Beautiful location, great staff, a lot of potential.
I liked the remoteness of the location. Truly in the jungle environment. The service is great. Loved sleeping in the noise of the DR jungle.
