the building: it is a very old one, which always keep an ancient atmosphere!
I choose a king size bedroom right because that was the only bedroom I liked from the picture... but unfortunately it was not exactly like that!!... at all!! It is a very simple hotel, very difficult to be found in the night.
Due how.was the hotel by picture was very nice but in real life was not was a waist of my money
This is my second time staying in this hotel and the service and cleaniless is much better than first time . The breakfast now is optional which is good because a lot people don't eat breakfast in the morning . Now if you plan to have breakfast they will charge you 5 more dollars per breakfast per person if not you pay just the room .
The Housekeping used some chemicals for cleaning the toilet and bathtub and left them with a ugly white view , I think it was Clorox and I'm Alergic to this products . Also the bottle water for drink was free before now they charge a dollar which is not bad at all . The toilet paper quality was bad and not enough, it looks small and didn't last long. The TV cable service was Also very slow to work
There's no emergency exit in this hotel, and the onliest door is electrically locked. Moreover the electricity generator doesn't work. For these reasons, I've stayed blocked one hour in the hotel because the electricity shut down (as always in Dom Rep),and almost lost my flight. It's unacceptable and I'll never get back there.
Staff was helpful, and the hotel was clean. From there you can walk to most places of interest in the colonial area. An independent restaurant/bar below the hotel has great food as well!
The television was minuscule, watching a soccer game, I had to get up to see the score. Took me a while to get the AC to work (was not giving a remote).
The young man in reception could not get me a taxi in the morning. I think that he only tried to call to some of his friends to pick me up and did not call to official taxi at all. Very unprofessional.

location price safe in your room for valuable things
noisy air-conditioning and fan light discontinuity airco not working early morning (hot!) wifi mostly not working good hard bed no windows rotten doors no air ventilation in bathroom
Good shower Good bed Good internet
Dark room, T.v. out of order Noisy airco On the page of booking.com it's not clear if breakfast is included or not Breakfast was disappointing
good location, airco rooms, basic but right price.
no wifi coverage in rooms. Staff could be a little bit more pro-active.
- good location - next to a pedestrian-only street (Calle del Conde), all colonial zone landmarks are nearby - nice patio area with a smoking zone, nice sofas in the lobby - basic amenities are ok, there's cable tv with a few English-language channels and with some nice radio channels
- wifi access only in the lobby - rooms have no windows - power outages in the night = air-con stops working and it gets really hot - everyday the same breakfast (eggs, strange-looking ham, toast and a piece of processed cheese), no variety, no vegetarian/halal option - rooms cleaned hastily, we found some nasty traces of previous occupants
Staff were very friendly. Staff could recommend a trustworthy taxi driver, and contact them on my behalf. The WiFi in my room worked great. The outdoor smoking area was beautiful and not just for those who smoked. The overall character and decor of the place was in keeping with the Colonial Zone. They did not put up any objection to me having a friend over for a day. The price was great. The location was just off a main street of shops and restaurants.
Overall this was a great hotel, and any negative points are only minor ones and did not cause me any serious disress or hardship. I would heartily recommend and stay here again. There was no tea or orange juice offered at breakfast. There is no elevator to go up the reception. Very few staff seemed to speak more than a handful of words in English. The AC unit was not working until midway through the third day, and when it was it was very loud. There was no bar, mini bar, or vending machine so I had to go into town to grab any refreshments during my stay. It is a little tricky to get here by Taxi because of all the one way systems in the colonial zone, but it is easy to get to on foot.
Location ! Good wi-fi signal ! Staff very friendly !
Power outages in early morning No bottled water or ice availability
Marta, Betsy and Mayra were attentive and friendly. Breakfast and coffee were great and really unexpected for such a great low price and great location.
Bedroom lights did not work. No toilet roll in rooms Wifi does not work in bedrooms No windows in the 'superior room' which meant that when power went off (as it does every day) the room got very very hot.
Location- right on El Conde.
Cockroach in dingy room with loud air conditioner that stopped working for most of the night; no windows; gross decor; receptionist put us in the wrong room, and wanted more money for the correct, better room. Wouldn't honor booking.com reservation and price.
We booked this hotel because of the gud note... Mistake of us... We got the room without window. We had to struggle for another one. The staff pressed us to pay more. All the Airkonditioner are very old and noisy. We waited for the breakfast 40 minutes. We had to struggle to get more as a half cup of Coffee they served first. We got only one towel for two persons. WLAn was only on the reception available. The guests which were in the rooms without windows had to use the toilette with the door opened to the korridor, as the elecricity was cut for 3 ore 6 hours...
Nice bed, air condition included. Good bathroom. Near the colonial zone and restaurants.
The worst possible area. El conde es full de criminals. Barbers force you in to their premises off the street. They con you 100 US and force you to have manicure, pedicure and use female accomplices to harass and make the theft. Small useless TV that had only one channel. Breakfast was not before 7.30 am. Never asked me if I wanted meat in my omelette. I don't eat ham.
Decent place for the price. Area is a tad shady though. You will be hounded by street vendors.
I stayed at tris hotel for 13 days and I didn't have any problem. I liked the free breakfast and the friendly staff and the housekeeping was excellent. The location was perfect , everything was nearby And easy to find. If you really want to save some money And stay in good área i really recommend tris hotel.
My only concern was the eletricity. Sometimes the service went out around 5:30 am on the entire town And come Back 3 hours later . Fortunately they have a eletricity power plant As a Back up And the hotel works fine during that situation
great location, easy to get to, comfortable and clean
It took 45 minutes to get our breakfast which meant we had two minutes to eat it before we had a previous engagement. Since water is not drinkable, a small bottle of water in the rooms would have been nice.
Staff is nice and very central also we could use the fridge ,it feels very homely ,nice people
