The prostitues roaming around the front entrance of the hotel.
Where do we begin.. The stinky pillows, the ac that did not work in 100 deg heat, wifi only worked in hallway, website states that there is a shuttle bus from the airport, which there is not. After travelling for 2 days and arriving to the hotel where we were unable to even have a decent shower was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.
I just stayed there one night and it was great. It's maybe the most comfortable place compared to the price and other hotels located close to it. The staff is always able to help and answer your questions. The rooms are pretty nice, and provide everything that you will need incluiding a safety deposit box. It's a modern place and secured. The only way to get into the room is by using an electronic card for the door. Miguel, the taxi, is a very nice person and sympathic.
It would have been nicer to be located closer to the town but not a big deal. Also, it would be good to put a door in the shower to avoid causing an accident with the water flowing to outside.
great small but cute and clean close to eating dinning,, very good recomended
Location is excellent, close to every where you want to go.
Was very private, good security and rooms in good condition.
Room was in 3 rd floor no elevator within the hotel. Poor AC and small bed. They call queen size bed to a full bed.
they arent ascentor....
Cafeteria is awful. Lousy service, medieocre food.
This property greatly exceeded my expectations. It was located near the old colonial section which was easy to walk or to take public transportation. The neighborhood felt safe and there was a nice bakery nearby to buy baked goods and have meals. The staff went out of their way to help out when a family crisis occurred at home. I can't say enough good about the staff. They were fantastic.
How much it cost to get there by taxi from the airport. But that would be the same for any hotel in Santo Domingo so it is not exclusive for this hotel.
I like the location, the staff was very helpful. Very good choice for the value of money.Hotel was very clean but I give a fair rating on cleanliness because when I checked in my room it was not clean up to my standards but the staff took care of that immediately. I look forward to staying in this hotel again and again.
Beautiful interior., enough space in the rooms., great service., staff speaks couple of languages...
Rooms on the street side are noisy
Location close to seafront and big hotels. Easy access to old city. Bright clean modern hotel with good ac and flat screen tv with good international cable selection. Nice small coffee shop with tasty snack menu and bar service at very fair prices.
Room 105 cramped for two, just ok for one. Nearby rooster starts singing at 4.30 a m. Hotel back up generator right behind room and extremely loud. A soundproof housing urgently required. Only 2 very thin pillows provided.
Good location (quiet and close to everything) and units clean.
They accused me of drinking a bottle of apple juice from the minibar that I did not. It was only 60 pesos, so I just paid it any how; but this left me feeling taken advantage of. My advice is to force them to take inventory of bar before you enter.
VERY GOOD EXCELLENT FOR VACANCION
tv, cable tv, bed, location
hot water didn't work properly, room wasn't properly clean first night
Pros: Because the hotel is so new, it still looks very clean, almost like a room pulled from an ikea catalogue. The price is ideal if traveling on a budget. There are a few parking spaces available in front of the hotel. The rooms although basic, include a/c, a safe, and a flat screen tv with cable channels. I am giving a low score to the hotel because I was not given the room I had reserved online previously. I made reservations two weeks in advance, for a bigger room on the second floor for three of us; instead, we were placed on a cramped tiny back room on the first floor with a view of the alleyway facing a tall concrete wall. We barely had any space to move, but as I mentioned before we were there only for sleeping, so I did not let this ruined our vacation. They lied to us telling us that the room would be available the following day, but that never happened. The excuse given was that the room we had reserved was being “fixed” which I found it odd as this is a new hotel.
Cons: Internet, although included in the price, is only available in the lobby, and even there it crashed constantly. There is no breakfast included, but there are many locations surrounding the hotel where you can go for a quick bite, including a small cafeteria right next door to the lobby. There are no elevators; something to consider if you are traveling with heavy bags. The water strength of the shower is very weak and it took forever for hot water to come out. There are about six parking spaces located in front of the hotel, so if they are fully booked that might be an issue unless there is an alternate location they can use for parking that I don’t know. During our stay I always found an available space though. Our own room had some problems as well; the shower head holder was broken, making it very difficult to take shower. Our room door could not lock from the inside. I called someone about it, and the guy came with a screwdriver, but was unable to fix it. Considering this is such a newer hotel, I am very concerned as to how quickly it is deteriorating. I also wondered how it may look a year from now; so if you are planning in staying here do it now while it is still somewhat operational. There were three of us in the tiny room and we expected three bath towels, but only two were given. I had to ask for an additional towel each day of our stay.
