Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Hotel Voramar is located in Sosúa, a 10-minute drive from the beach. WiFi access and parking are available.
Score from 10 reviews Very good
Set among coconut trees along the coast of the Dominican Republic, this resort offers easy access to area activities and features comfortable accommodations and on-site dining, steps from the beach.
Score from 43 reviews Review score
Centrally located in Cabarete's commercial area, this small hotel features free Wi-Fi and a shared outdoor hot tub. Hotel Alegria is situated in front of the beach.
Score from 68 reviews Good
This beach-front complex is located on a private access road in the Centre of Cabarete. The restaurants are next door and in short walking distance along Cabarete Bay.
Score from 24 reviews Superb
very secure, tremendous location, not on the beach, but right across the road from the beach and easy access, good inexpensive restaurant with great breakfast overlooking the pool or street, pharmacy adjacent was handy, great pool, quiet, & secure
It is not on the beach, but what do you expect for such little money....a great value and location!
All of the staff was absolutely excellent. I loved staying here. We were at Kaoba for 3 nights before joining another couple in a beach condo for the remainder of our stay. I'm generally a little picky when it comes to hotels however I'm not unreasonable. For $37 U.S. total per night for a couple after taxes and air conditioning fees, the price was just right. We stayed in a bungalow and I highly recommend it for couples. There's no tv, but being that we were in paradise with so much to see and do we really didn't care. There's a pool, WiFi, and a refrigerator in the room. It's very clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for walking through town, restaurants, and going to the beach. We will definitely be back.
The only negative points I have to mention are the WiFi signal was weak, the bed was a little hard, the rooms need a little updating, the lighting in the rooms is poor, and there's no bathtub. Those are all minor when you think of all of the positives and the price. This place is just right.
hotel is dirty. Personal is unfriendly. Rooms were with terrible smoke odor. Air conditioning was not working.
Cant beat the price
$10 for EACH guest that comes to visit you!
The location is great. The bungalows are nice for the price. Many eating options around and 5 mins walk to the beach. Jacuzzi and pool are clean.
The beach, tiendas, and bars were near the hotel.
This place is terrible. All the room/bungalows are Mosquito infested. You Pay 170 USD to be tortured and have no sleep for 7 nights. The staff are mostly teenagers, and have no senior leadership. The fan is dysfunctional and the small fridge seems like it hasn't been changed in decades. Very Noisy at night till 3 AM.
Helpful staff Effective air conditioning comfortable bed daily cleaning
Slow wifi Prostitutes hanging around outside
If you're just looking to travel and could care less about big resorts and paying thousands of dollars for a hotel room, this is the place for you. The location is absolutely perfect, right across from the beach and in the heart of Cabarete. Everything you need is within a 5 or 10 minute walk, and you can get to Sosua and Puerto Plata in a short amount of time for about $2 a person. There is so much to do in Cabarete, and this hotel is perfect for young couples and people who just want to be there together. The rooms are not by any means luxurious and the facilities are limited, but for the price you are paying it's a great place to be. The staff is very accommodating when they can help you. The location is really the best part of this hotel, plus the owner's dogs that run around playing together on the property :)
At times the staff didn't know how to help with our needs, restaurant a little expensive and limited, bring bug spray for the mosquitoes
most of the staff were very pleasant and friendly..the price was great..great location
one staff member was very rude to our friend...the pool wasn't clean . they never fixed the light in the bathroom
Nice and clean. Super good value close to the beach and restaurants.
The location was great and the pool pretty nice.
I booked it for a certain price in booking and when I arrived, extra charges. Beautiful hotel, needs to be cleaned more often,
The location is not that bad.
The experience was very awful. Once we got there first thing we noticed was that what was shown in the pictures was not actually what you got. The room smelled horrible and did not seem clean. The hotel in general seems abandoned and the pool disgusting. The bungalow room we booked was so horrible and the A/C (which we had to pay extra for) did not work, so we had to ask for another room, for which we had to pay 40 extra bucks, the new room was a bit better but we found a croach walking in the bathroom. Very bad experience. This was my first time using booking.com, I hope you take better care of hotels like this so people can trust more the webpage. I really liked the page and the deals but am now considerings how trust worth are the reviews in your page actually.
Complete peace and quiet if required.
Not long enough trip
Great location across the main costal road from Puerto Plata to Rio San Juan. Easy walking distance to main beach (moto taxi or longer walk to kite beach) and large super market is about 5 min walk away. The pool is small but nice and lots of chairs and tables to lounge next to pool. Cabarete Divers dive shop is located in the hotel and they use the pool for dive course. Wi-Fi around the pool (in budget bungalows) was good and relatively fast. Room s also have small fridge for water, beer, snacks, etc.
Mosquitoes are a big problem, swarms of them in the bungalows (fan only) around the pool both day and night. Maybe should offer coils, nets, or something. Fans in budget bungalows are not very strong.
Absolutely recommend this place. Its great value, clean, uber convenient and the staff are a complete pleasure. Will definitely stay again
It was in the town center but was exceptionally quiet. Staff were nice and helpful.
Not that I didn't like it, the problem is that much money needs to be added to this property to make day to day improvements.. When it rains the walkways can be extremely slippery.
I do not anything I do not like
landscape was nice, close to beach
They didn't honor the price from booking.com, the rooms were old and felt dirty. Little privacy due to people passing by low windows at all times of the day.
Everything was a messs, we booked 3 rooms ans received other types of rooms for the same price obviously. Nothing was working properly in the room, no tv, no fridge, no A/C, no water pressure and there was a "lake"in the middle of the room, because there was water leaking from the ceiling. All the walls were wer and the smell in the room was horrifying. The staff was totally uncooperative about it.
The pool area was nice. Although it could get quite noisy. The room was clean and far enough away from the road that we didn't have to listen to traffic noise.
We were unable to lock the windows in the first room provided. No problem swapping. Typical Dom Rep resort, with pushy shop owners, noisy motorbike taxis.
Good location. The facilities are just what you need, descent bed, clean shower.
Tough to get rid of mosquitoes.
good location, nice pool, very friendly staff, great price
extremely loud and annoying religious revival meeting all day sunday next door.
Good value and very nice staff people
Eventhough hotel not right on beach, it easy 5 minute walk to beach access and plenty of cafés. Very nice pretty courtyard and pool area relaxing. Nice cafe/cantina part of hotel. Friendly helpful staff.
On main roadway in front so traffic noise if you are near front entrance. When at cafe in front, sometimes vendors come around asking you to buy even if you are busy. Only few times. No off street parking if you bring a car. All else great.
The hotel is right in Cabarete. You walk to the beach, kite across the street; many restaurant, night life. There is a very nice pool and the Air conditioned was new and very silent. You also can have visitors.
It was no TV, no fridge, and some dogs noise sometime in the back alley
