Las Palmas al Mar Residence  

The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The villas were gorgeous, clean and well maintained. The grounds were very pretty and the pool was lovely. It was also right on a beautiful beach and town was only minutes away by foot.

Great for cooking and eating outdoors on front porch, great location, across the street from the beach and near fresh fish market, short walk to town shops, great value, friendly and efficient staff. We had a very relaxing, quiet stay

there was a rooster in the next door property that sounded every morning between 4am and 6am, and we were woken up almost every day

This is our second stay and we think it is such a cute little place! Nothing luxury, but comfortable and roomy. Great porch for hanging out.

Great place and would recommend it highly. The staff was friendly and attened to any needs we may have had. The beach was across the street and beautiful.

If I had to come up with something that I did not like, it would have to be the inconsistancy of the wifi. Although I believe this was a problem with the provider not the hotel. I find this to be a problem in most of the DR.

Excellent value for money. We stayed in Alisei before in a very very similar room (it was designed by the same architect and they pretty much used the same design). But for our weekend, Alisei wanted US$250 per night for that type of room, and Las Palmas wanted US$80 per night. So we got the same space and amenities for a third of the price. I liked the fact that there was no music playing beside the pool - Alisei has this really annoying music which we had to ask them three times to turn down. It was nice and quiet and a great space to chill out and read a book.

The air conditioning needed an overhaul - this wasn't a problem as it was cool enough with fans. There is no restaurant or bar, so if you stay here you do need to bring your own food for breakfast and drinks. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and there is a good supermarket in Las Terrenas so this was no problem for us. One other point, the wireless internet wasn't working well when we stayed. The hotel does have cable internet connections in the rooms which are much faster and better, so I would recommend asking them for a cable if you stay there.

Everything was beautifully appointed, tranquil and restful. We had a beautiful stay and the staff were excellent especially Cassie on the front desk who made us feel so welcome.

Eine sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage. Sehr gut gelegen - ruhig, man war aber auch schnell in der Stadt. Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus hatte alles was man braucht. Es war ein toller Urlaub. Wir kommen wieder. :-)
