Wish the hotel was more modern
I got sick during my stay and the hotel personnel were very supportive and helped me to get everything I needed to feel better before my check out of the hotel.
The quality of the TV set was not the best.
The hotel is very attractive it located in good area and I like that breakfast was included, I will sure do it again .
I didn't like that I have go in the wifi zone for Internet . I prefer it in my room
The Bed Made To Much Noise The Bath Room Made To Much Noise The Staff Was Not Very Helpful
The hotel is in a prime location.. close to all main attraction and walking distance to great meals, bars and lounges. The hotel is historical and the rooms are name by commanders n capitals etc from a civil fight... breakfast was included which was just enough to start ur day.. I would definitely stay again..
I had a unpleasant situation with a worker but had it resolved quickly... The pool on sunday I'd used for classes or is public not a good idea. N the next day it was dirty... pool staff doesn't clean pool until passed 10am.. If they do... not good at all... Pool area isn't pleasant at all.. everything is old ...rusty and wore out... they need a major updating in this area..
It's not the most modern hotel but it has a nice Spanish colonial vibe to it. For the money, it's the best value in Santiago and the location is excellent
Shower is outdated but for the price, I'm not complaining
Within walking distance of the Monument and good restaurants. Great price and rooms were good sized and continental breakfast was included. I never tried the nightclub or casino, but there is no shortage of live music and food in the area.
No wifi inside rooms.
The staff realy tried there best to acomadate us
The shower door exploded on me when I went to shower I had glass all over me. The toilet was dirty and so was the pool. The wi-fi had a very bad signal all over the hotel. The place just has very poor maintenance.
Helpful staff, limited breakfast included with room rate, and centrally located
WiFi services not available in hotel rooms, main areas hot due to lack of air conditioning, no elevators, shower in need of repairs, air conditioning in room not cooling properly, light in room very dim with very little natural light coming from window, access card to open room door had to be replaced often, very menu-limited inside restaurant not air conditioned and daily room rates are overpriced (daily rate should be around US$35, taking into account that in addition, taxes and room services costs are about 28%) considering the facilities this hotel has to offer
The breakfasts were all very excellent, varied and with items I had never eaten before. Staff were helpful even though I did not speak Spanish
There was a confusion on the price. It seems it was double what I had figured out online and the staff couldn't explain it to me but when I got my credit card statement, I saw that it was the price I had been quoted originally. So all was good
View of city and location.
Place is run down! Needs upgrades really bad.
The staff was friendly.
I had to change rooms 3 times. First room had sewage problems, second room they changed me to had a non-working A/C, third room was ok. Cable TV kept going out.
location, cleanliness, and olympic sized swimming pool
Noisy noisy noisy...loud jet-engine sounding air conditioning air handlers outside the room kept coming on intermittently throughout the night, the 'buffet' breakfast consisted of a tray of goopy mangu and some stale croissants and uninspiring fruit
rustic look - room size - location - price - bell boy concierge - water flow in tub
bad wi-fi - pool dirty - no ac in lobby - eating area needs improvement
no WiFi in room
-easy to find central location. clean. -very good breakfast -friendly staff (not including front) -decent price compared to peers in city..but poor value for DR.
-no internet connection in rooms-simply not acceptable today.. i've stayed in 10+ hotels now in DR and this is the only one without basic WiFi options. -front staff were worthless to me in terms of quoting "typical" fees for taxis...and they seem to have never heard of the publico taxis. (i got the "gringo should pay more" vibe here) ->i would NOT recommend this hotel until they improve internet access. (it is not that difficult)
Hotel had been remodeled since 1998, when I last visited it. Room was clean, the furnishings were up to date and the air conditioning worked great. Breakfast was a true Dominican treat and included in room price. It is a short walk to calle del sol, the main shopping area and even closer to the monument. Excellent for the money.
To get a coffee to go it's challenging as DR in general serves coffee to stay...drive to Bravo supermarket close by, they can serve it with a to go cup.
Staff super nice and excellent location. I've stayed 4 times in the past 3 months.
Location, swimming pool, service is friendly and helpful
No WiFi in rooms, lobbies are not air conditioned, small restaurant is fully operational for breakfast only and it's not air conditioned, no elevator (have to walk a long stair to second floor) water pressure low, and bath shower head was not working properly
It is close to very good restaurants , shopping malls and entertainment places.
Everything was good.
Staff was friendly and service was great. Location was nice. Close to everything.
After a certain hour there is no food available. So you better eat dinner on time.
STAFF IS VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY AND GOOD FOOD AT RESTAURANT/ ROOM SERVICE.
SOME OF THE BEDS IN THE ROOMS MAKE NOISE,,, THEY NEED TO REPLACE BEDS IN MANY ROOMS.....THEY ALSO NEED TO PUT WIFI INSIDE ALL THE ROOMS...
Free wifi,nice staff,breakfast included.
No wifi in the rooms, old tv no flat screens, very noise beds.
Good location, nice history
