Stayed at the Level. Facilities are beautiful. The food is ok. The menus are confusing. Our butler Pedro was great. Nice relaxing pace. Could have done without the sales pitch. Would definitely go back.
The sales pitch to buy in and the food was nothing special.
Staff,confortable, happiness, facilites
Haesn't a products that doesn't included in consume
Mexican restarant food.
Poor check in. Broken TV Toilet not working properly. Inadequate AC 2 1/2 wait to get our luggage delivered to our room. Poor transportation to get around resort. Poor service from waiters. Not being able to book specialty restaurants because they were already filled, but there were always empty tables when we walked by. Watered down drinks. Except for the Mexican restaurant, food was not impressive. The 40.00 steak and lobster was not worth 10.00.
Quality food and staff
Facilities are beautiful and very well maintained. Beach is also very nice, and well kept. Areas do not feel crowded in spite of the large amount of people. Staff is generally helpful and polite. I recommend the hotel if all you want is a clean and comfortable room and a nice beach. However, do not expect stellar service. I was disappointed with this.
The hotel is HUGE. Only hotel vehicles are allowed inside so be ready to wait quite a bit for club cars which are in high demand, or the hotel train that circles around the property (turtle slow). Service was intermittent so moving around inside the hotel can be a pain. If your villa is away from the beach, expect a 20 minute walk if you don't want to wait for the train. As most all inclusives, food is so-so and service is not the best (even in paid restaurantes). The Melia is no exception. Staff is sometimes slow to respond, and while facilities are nice, service is often lacking (particularly with room service). At USD 500 per night, I was expecting MUCH better service than what I actually found.
Location is great and resort has everything needed onsite
Staff seemed disorganized. Checkin was horrible and service in general was slow. Older property
I wasn't sure what to expect, having never used a all inclusive.. I found the staff very personable & accommodating & extremely professional. Grounds were beautiful and well kept.
The check in process was the worst I've EVER experienced.. qualitynof excursions inconsistent due to hotel staff not clearly distinguished from external vendors
1. Beach Bavaro indeed impressive 2. The Level acommodations are a solid 5* 3. Service very good given the size of the place 4. Good drink selection at the Level (12 Y.O Scotch etc) except for wine
1. Amazingly poor Wine Selection, even at The Level (only one poor quality/entry level spanish wine included)....even the paid options were very limited....at the regular restaurants (all except Gabi) the white wine included was undrinkable, had to buy one 2. Except for Gabi Restaurant (The Level) and the paid Steak and Lobster all other rests had beautiful design/arquitecture but the food only fair...made too fast with the clear intention of rotating tables (overcooked pastas and risottos as if had already being made etc) 3. Wifi has room for improvement..but given the size of the hotel and its location it is OK 4. The attempts to sell Melia's Club/TimeSharing a bit annoying...I took the tour bc of the discount offered on rides but not worth it (unless u wanna join the club)...takes a bit too long and in the end very pushy salespeople
People were sweet and helpful.
Husband waiting to get new safe battery for 1.5 hours over first lunch there. We needed to place our valuables away. Same thing happened to couple we were with. No conditioner in spa showers... Only a combined Product of shampoo and body wash. Only trinket gift shop on Level property Just need a corner to get Nice sunglasses, tote, Upscale goods.
The grounds were beautiful, the service was great and the rooms were comfy.
The wifi was basically non existent, terrible connection. The sandy beach was pretty except by the water where it was piled high with yucky seaweed.
Location, beautiful setting, friendly people, surfing In Macau
Checking in and out took too long
TOO LONG CHECK IN
Easy access to everything fun. The amount of choice in restaurants and buffets, and most importantly bars really set Melia apart. I spent time next door at a more expensive resort as well and found myself coming back! Staying at The Level added even more!
Kinda spotty internet service but it did get better.
1) Clean and well maintained facilities 2) Nice beachfront with a lot of space to lay out 3) Newly renovated The Levels rooms and common areas
1) Two hour check in: it was two hours between arrival at the resort and getting our bags delivered to our room so we can start our vacation 2) Ala carte restaurants were always full and were fully reserved by 9am in the morning 3) Overly hovering staff: i.e. Sales pitch for timeshare even before we were checked in, plus the sales guy kept calling us early the next morning (before 8am!!!) to schedule a presentation we didn't want... and called 5 more times after that til 10:30am (couldn't he just let us sleep in peace?!) 4) Wife accidentally almost walked into men's room, and the restaurant staff laughed loudly at her 5) Food had nice presentation but mediocre taste
There were lots of beach chair on the beach. We don't need to keep to find it. We could feeding to flamingo and peacocks!
Takes 30 mins to checked in. Hard to take reservations to dinner.
Very friendly staff Gorgeous grounds Must take advantage of upgrade to "Level" facilities "Level" facilities are modern, chic, and perfect for urban travelers "Level" food is excellent "Tropical" food is very good Perfect beaches Enjoyable excursions
This is an all-inclusive experience, so travel offsite of the hotel is difficult but certainly possible. We are not normally all-inclusive travelers (at all) but this experience was superior, and among the nicest in the area.
I would rate my overall stay as excellent and better than I expected. Staff went over and beyond in catering to your needs and trying to ensure satisfaction. The grounds were lovely and well maintained... You could see staff cleaning the facilities throughout the day
Well located, good installations
Over one hour for check-in Over one hour to get my suitcase They ask you at the end of your stay, though you pay in advance, to donate 1 dollar to UNICEF. They could do this at check-in, when you pay. Loud gardening work done around 7am everyday. When asking staff to point at a restaurant inside the hotel or to the reception, 3 people gave3 different instructions...even though Spanish is also my native tongue. They came to "repair" a phone that wasn't broken on Sunday 11am to my room.
I stayed at The Level Adults Only, all inclusive. It was very peaceful & relaxing.
The only thing I didn't like was the food. The minibar in the room was comp/included, and all items on the room service menu were as well. I only enjoyed the smoked salmon bagel breakfast and the tropical fruit breakfast options. All the appetizers and regular food options were so bland, tasteless, or not as expected. The buffet was good though.
We enjoyed the free drinks in the all inclusive booking
The unfriendly/lazy staff, the situation where you have nothing to do except go to the beach, the poor furnitures in the rooms, lots of noise from the other bedrooms (bad isolation), the disgusting plastic food, the sloooooooow WiFi access... We had to ask two days in a row to have a maid to clean our room... So expensive for no reason.... We left the hotel 2 days earlier as a consequence.
Food, room, animation
Very, very bad food.
Very friendly personal. - Isaura Garcia - Raul Rosario - David Castillo Great housekeeping - Mercedes Waiter at Breakfast/Lunch & Dinner - Francesco All these and even more People made this vacation unforgettable. Thank you sooo much. We will be back a.s.a.p.
...To leave this oasis again...
Grounds were beautiful - staff was good
room asked for a downstairs room due to medical condition called and checked the night before still got an upstairs room lost our luggage for a short time no snacks only 1/2 restaurants open so could not get reservation one night. Too big.
We returned to this resort after 10 years & this was our first experience of The Level a Adults only section which has recently opened. The whole resort complex was as good as we remembered but The Level & Cuatro were even better!
Only thing we didn't like was the wine in the A la Cartes apart from in Cuatro!!
