just a localization, main touristic street of the city
Pokey, dark room without ANY window
The stuff was great, friendly and very helpful in every thing I asked. Rooms were small but kept clean and air condicioned.
It was close to everything, and the staff was helpfull with everything i asked for.
It was really low standard. There were a nightclub outside, and no real windows to keep the noice outside. It was very simple in everyway.
Definitely, this is the worst place I have ever stayed. Despite of good location.
The room is dirty, specially the bathroom. The bed is small and not comfortable at all. There was not hot water for shower and the staff did not give any attention to this, considering that we requested them to fix or to change the room three times. The breakfast is really poor, we could not eat it. The room there is no window and we felt like in a prison. Definitely, I do not recommend this to anyone.
I took of group of 15 college students from Canada to the Dominican and we stayed at the Momumental on our way in and when leaving. The staff was very eager to please, the rooms were very good and the A/C was great. Everyone really enjoyed their stay. Will book again. Within walking distance of shopping and restaurants.
Breakfast left something to be desired, but for the price, can't complain. Coffee and juice was great.
If you're looking for luxury you're in the wrong place but if you just need a clean, cheap, centrally located hotel then this might be your best bet. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and there's free wifi and air conditioning. Tourist police kiosk on the corner but I wouldn't recommend hanging out too late in that area alone. The owner is available to pick you up from the airport for $40, very nice man.
Only con is the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything around you but I guess earplugs would solve that. Also no hot water but not that big of a deal when it's so hot.
Location is perfect in the colonial Zone, safe and clean.
The problem with the hot water but it is all Dominican Republic same so is not a hotels problem.
cleanliness of room very quiet staff was very helpful and like family breakfast was good but need some variation like a fruit included hotel was centrally located good working AC
The proprietor, Baldemiro, picked us up at the airport, saw to our every whim, and worked tirelessly to secure our reservation in our next destination....he was up until 11pm, calling to find us the right thing, for the right price. The place was squeaky clean, the air conditioning was refreshing after the hot, humid street, and you couldn't ask for a better staff. When we arrived, he summed up our stay, by placing our bags on our bed, and saying, "This is your home for the next 3 days!" Great guy!
Loved it all!
Location - Mine was business cum leisure trip. Location is excellent. Right on the Calle El Conde. Couple of minutes walk to Colonial Zone, Restaurants, ATM, Jumbo Super Market, Stores. Continuous vigilance by local police makes the place safer. Staff - Bilingual Staff who speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, bit of Italian. 24 Hrs Reception. The owner Mr. Baldimero whenever possible himself reaches to guest to know their experience or whether they need anything. Mr Moreno the Manager of the hotel is excellent human being. Facilities - Considering the budget hotel the facilities are great. 24 hours wi fi, clean bed and toilet, TV with local channels, working air conditioner, a small business center with 2 computers, common dining table, common water cooler, common refrigerator to store your food items.
Great location on El Conde pedestrian street in the heart of the colonial city. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi in rooms near reception desk is good. Free drinking water available. Good for a night or two to be in the center location. Jumbo supermarket is about 5 minute walk away.
The rooms are very cell-like with no windows and small. No fridge or desk or tables in room. Breakfast is piece of toast and a slice of processed cheese. The price of rooms adds up with all of the taxes. 18% ITBIS, 10% service and additional 5% for paying with credit card. This equals 33% extra on the price quoted on booking.com - so be prepared for that. I paid US$40 for a tiny double. You can get a better room for $30 or $35 nearby.
Very good location .very near from the historical places and shopping areas
Small rooms .not all of it have windows
Really friendly staff excellent location, I sleep like a baby! Highly recommended !
Excellent location, excellent WIFI, helpful staff, drinking water on hand, good TV reception with variety of channels.
Nice place, main street, worth of money
It is worst place I ever stay. No elevator.
Hotel charged a credit card fee. Not listed on Booking site. Parking states $5 on Booking site. Charged $10
I had overpaid on my bill and the young man who took my money returned my money even after I had walked out of the building...It was about 1200 pesos overpaid and no doubt he could have used the money.....This young man was very honest...Thank you...
