Location across from the beach is good. Staff were friendly. Wifi worked unless no power which thankfully happened only once given the power issues in that region.
Locks on our sliding doors were broken. Windows leaked & we had 2 days of torrential rain so bad to use all towels to stop water on the floors. No mosquito screens on Windows so no fresh air option, only AC. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Coffee weak, eggs & nasty white bread our only option. Considering the price, not great value at all.
cortesy of manager, location, location, location
parking space, kitchen setting is open to view
As a commercial pilot for a corporate company I spend my fair amount of time on the road and in hotel rooms in all parts of the world. However, when I travel with family and friends I expect more and only a few places can meet that criteria for me. I most say that Hotel playa Caribe is one of those places for me. Small but with a big ammenities package. Internet is big for me, I was laying on the beach and was streaming netflix on my Ipad when my son inlaw reached me facetime to tell me that my daughters water broke and my new grandbaby was comming two weeks early to all of us surprise. I stayed at the beach getting reports on by the minute until she came at 6:30 PM without internet I would not have been as connected to that, I felt almost as I was there. This is just one example of the awesome service at playa caribe. Thanks
The 2 bed-room apartment was really worth the price. It's almost the same price as the one bedroom and it really is a big difference. If you;re going with a group of 6 you can totally just get this room. There's a bedroom with a queen bed and another with 2 twin beds and then a sofa-bed. The apartment had a kitchen with all the equipment.
I love the way the staff threat us. The location was very convenient close to everything. The thing I love the most was the bar by the beach and the beach one of the most beautiful in the island. The manager/Owner Georgy is very cool person I recommend this hotel and will visit again.
Very clean place.......right in front of the beach..
They don't have a pool..
Help with renting an ATV and getting a deal on it 35$ a day for 5 days. Awesome! AC worked great only problem we had was a bad toilet but I assume that can happen anywhere! 5+
The apartment was very clean, modern and spacious. We loved it!
There was not much activity. We didn´t enjoy the so called complimentary breakfast
spacious rooms kitchen great beach access
Like new construction
Staff speak no English No wifi Very late cont breakfast of dry bread and tiny coffee
big comfort, rooms and great beach front .
curtians that didn,t quit cover the windows for privacy
I have been to Las Terenas many times & this was my first stay on the east side of the beach. Which turned out to be a very plesant surprise. Playa Caribe offers you bang for your buck & it's location is really good with many bars & resturants very close by. It also has a colmado/mini market on site which allows you to take part in a national pass time. Enjoying a cheap cold beer basking in sunshine outside the market.
Leaving Las Teranas :(
Its was nice. it really looks like in the pictures.
Very well located, in front of the beach. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is well manteined, clean and safe. Breakfast also good.
Nice Hotel just to stay overnight.
Near the Beach but it. ist Full of rubish.
The beach in front of the hotel is amazing.
We liked the breakfast and the staff was nice
I didn't like that it was so close to the road and you could hear all the noise from the traffic very loud in your room
The owner were they and work along the staff. I liked it. Was a very relaxing night for us.
There was not much to do in the evening in the terrenas area for couple the love clubs
Very clean and cosy hotel. Situated just on the seashore, with a direct access to a nice beach. The staff is very kind and helpfull. The breakfasts on the beach are unforgettable... There is a private parking.
No reason to complain.
Clean and reasonable room with air and got water...great location across from beach
Friendly staff Clean Lovely setting
Beds were soft Drainage in washroom was poor
Good location and big room
BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS. I am not exaggerating I have over 25 bites on my legs, and 4 on my back, and 4 on my arms! DISGUSTING! Also, on our 1st day there they did not give us towels- we asked 3 TIMES for towels and we never got them until the next day! Imagine going to a beach hotel and not having TOWELS!
Great location, exellent mohitos at bar, helpfull staff, clean room
Wi-fi works only at the reception, breakfast is two slices of toast, juice, butter and coffee.
Staff is very nice and helpful. Hotel is very well situated within walking distance to the center. The area feels very safe and is not noisy at all. Rooms are very clean with mini-bar (empty) and air conditionning very good quality . They have free safe boxes in the room.Architecture of the hotel is very charming.
- Breakfast is included in the price but service is very SLOW and the breakfast is poor. Coffee is bad and they charge you if you ask more coffee ! - No drinking water left in the room. You have to go buy water bottles outside - It cost only 50cents they could offer it for the price they charge the room. - Reception desk is closed after 6:30PM so you need to be careful with the keys. - They charge you +18% TAX in addition of the price in Booking.com and they ask you to pay cash..No credit cards accepted. I had to go to the bank retreive cash. - Hotel is relatively expensive for Dominican Rep standards. We payed 80$/night for 2 people.
nice personel very good and clean rooms
they have to re-do the one step going from the reception to room 12/13/14 etc. from the 5 people we were, 3 fell over it. step just before going to the stairway
