The girl that spoke English was absolutely helpful!!!
Some of the front desk staff did not speak any English!
no good breakfast
The hotel was tucked away so a little difficult to find, but very clean, very hospitable, breakfast was great, pool was great. Would highly recommend if you are in the are and you do not need beachfront.
Peaceful and suite is beautiful
There should be a meal inclusive package
Well-run and maintained hotel; very helpful staff; secure; great value; clean rooms; comfortable bed; hot water and good a/c; in a decent location once you're oriented; nice pool area; secured parking
No complaints, if anything, maybe access to the secured parking, but nothing close to a deal-breaker
In an area overidden with gated resorts, the MT hotel is a reasonable proposition. If you're looking for some local flavor, and on a budget, it is a good choice
Can't separate the fan or AC from the lights. Both activated by the room cardkey. Makes for an uncomfortable nights sleep.
The architecture of the hotel was gorgeous. The hotel is in a central location to other restaurants and bars along the avenue.
The staff speak no English. Thankfully I was travelling with my Dominican husband. Due to it's proximity to bars it's noisy but that can't be helped. Bring ear plugs. Clean room but no drinking water provided. I would have had problems here on my own if I wasn't with my Spanish-speaking husband.
Great staff. Good breakfast
Asked for room change. First room had terrible odor, mold was on shower curtain, sheets were too short for bed, cigarette holes in bed cover, no light in central light, and AC was marginal. New room was better, but on third floor with no elevator. Swimming pool closed at 7:00 PM.
I can't really name anything I liked about it besides the location.
Didnt like the pictures compared to the room I got. I didn't like no one spoke English or anything close to it. I don't like we had to wait til 3 to check in when no one was there but rushed out before 12 because we canceled our reservation early because we were uncomfortable. Also didn't like the free breakfast
Location was awesome. It was in the middle of all the local bars and restaurants
Wifi was horrible had to actually stand outside to call my wife on viber
Very friendly staff that were helpful that attended to our every need. The rooms are a great value and very clean. The rooms are worth triple the rate. A great location.
The water system would go out periodically and became an inconvenience.
The colonial style of the hotel was welcoming and pleasing, with lots of lush green vegetation all around.
The poor quality of the coffe at breakfast time. The safe in our room did not work. The staff had lost the key. Nobody was sent to exchange the safe or solve the problem. Therefore we had to carry our valuables with us all the time.
Breakfast. Spacious room. Location.
Dark rooms with small windows. Very poor Wi-fi connection, network available only in the lobby. Music clubs on the main street (1 block away) are extremely loud No information package (breakfast, telephone directory, local restaurants etc. ) in the room.
A/C worked very well, bathroom was large with good shower and plenty of hot water. Room was at back of hotel as I had asked for a quiet room and, during the day it was fantastically quiet. Unfortunately, at night, there is a bar with live music close by and this goes on until about 01.00am! However, I did manage to get to sleep but I certainly would not have been happy being any nearer to that!
Unreliable Wifi. Breakfast was very mediocre. Quite a walk down the main street to nearest beach in Bavaro for anyone not keen to take a motoconcho (motorbike ride) which didn't bother me + I only paid 50 pesos (just over a $1)
Location( tricky to find), at back of a plaza with good selection of f and b outlets. under 15 minute walk to bavaro plaza and variety of bars. also close to bank and supermarket.very handy if you are not motorised. Good sized pool you could swim laps in, though does not get much sun. Access and public areas look very smart with nice use of stone and wrought iron to give a classy old fashioned feel. Reasonable selection of cold breakfast items in a nice room, but exact same items repeated on day 2..Good quiet a/c and decent sized bath towels. Provision of a fridge always nice, and the free wifi worked well throughout hotel.
I requested a quiet room, and thought i had one, looking out over scrubland rather than the plaza. However there are 2 night bars that pump out very loud music until about 2 a.m. The room itself was fairly compact, and not designed to maximise space. The maid brought 3 different remotes before getting my t v to work...The receptionist was required to find the mini chain hidden away in the light bowl to get the fan to work.the promised maintainance man never came to fix the central light. i also had to ask for (4) extra clothes hangers to supplement the 2 provided. The toilet was less than an inch from the wall, so sitting sideways was required. The base of the shower cabinet looked like a low quality replacement very shoddily installed, and the shower cabinet leaked. The bed was low with a comfy mattress and 4 pillows, but was too small for the frame, so you caught your calf when getting out of bed. Overall the quality of fittings and finishing was lower than in the smart public areas - friends tell me that the new building across the pool has better rooms, but most will still need double glazing for the disco noise.
Great little hotel very welcoming rooms were cute. Pool was very nice great value for your money would recommend
Everything was great. The tour guide Michael was great. The service was great. The breakfast was wondeful and the hotel was beautiful. I would stay at the MT Hotel again.
It was a mosquito in my room and we got bit.
Wonderful hotel for travelers in the heart of Bavaro. There is great service, quite nice atmosphere and romantic mood. This is a great place for whom doesn't want to spend 2 weeks on the one place in all incl. hotel. Who wants to have own life schedule enjoying excellent quality.
This is very nice place. When you get inside the first thought is you are in quiet hotel somewhere in Europe. I like this style. Rooms are very clear, beds are very comfortable, staff are very friendly. I'd like to recommend this hotel!
the front desk attendant did not know english the water went off our room door would not lock
Cute and quaint little hotel
Right next to a disco. Know one in that motel got a bit of sleep until 4am. The loudest sound system ever :(
You couldn't beat what you got for what you pay. I liked the location but I also had a car. The rooms were clean and our A/C worked fine. We always had hot water as well. The food is cheap in the surrounding areas do I would definitely recommend this place as an alternative to the luxury all-inclusive resorts.
Hard beds. Nothing else was bad.
The staff was fabulous!! Beautiful hotel with excellent value. Will definitely be staying there again.
This is a perfect hotel if you are arriving or leaving from the airport. It's located really close to lots of restaurants. Very clean, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, and the pool seemed beautiful although we didn't use it.
For us it was all good. Make sure you ask for a quiet room, and probably best to avoid this at weekends as it will be noisy.
Staff does not speak English which makes it very difficult to ask questions.
