One has to cross the main highway through town to get to the beach, though it is easy enough to walk to. Not what most would consider close, however.
The power went out while I was there, but that was not the hotel's fault. Some lights still work in the room, even when power goes out. To take a shower, one has to turn on the timer and wait 20 min. I appreciate the energy saving feature, but not used to planning ahead for a shower.
Room was large and spacious with a refrigerator, couch in an alcove and good bed. Windows looked out over the pool and landscaped common area. Excellent wifi in the room. Within walking distance of a good supermarket. There are kitchen facilities available for guests to do their own cooking. Location is on a quiet, noise free, street. Manager is a native English speaker. Literature is provided re sights and places to go.
