Villa La Caleta

hay ciertas dificultades con las motocicletas, que no llegan mucho por alli. Si no tiienes coche , es porblema

Sobre todo me ha gustado el trato personal y humano directo con los propietarios de la Villa cuya atencion ha sido muy bonita y familiar... muchas gracias a Sabrina y Dario por su atencion personalizada y su buena cena....

The location is gorgeous! You can reach a tiny little beach by taking a few steps. The owners were very sympathetics and very helpfull. You feel like you live in that place!

I wish I could have more time to spend there...

As my boyfriend and I live in nyc, we wanted a relaxing vacation away from noise and crowds. Villa La Caleta was the perfect place to stay because it is steps away from the beach and not right next to other hotels. If you walk along the beach to the other hotels, there are many other people and the beaches near those hotels are overrun with beach chairs. At Villa La Caleta, you can wake up and walk to the water and may not see anyone else; it is like having your own private beach! We liked it so much that while we booked it for only nights, we ended up staying for a third. The owners, Sabrina and Dario, were very kind and offered to make reservations and drive us to El Cabito, the best restaurant in town. They dined with us and we had a terrific time! While many people go to Playa Rincon and Playa Fronton (where my boyfriend and I went also), I am so glad they also told us about La Playita; it was my favorite beach in Samana. I am so glad Sabrina and Dario were willing to be very accommodating, hospitable, kind, and they gave us the inside scoop on what to do in Las Galeras! We somehow thought that we booked only a room, but we had a whole duplex complete with a kitchen that we used to cook food we bought in the market. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and a full-sized refrigerator. Everything is clean and there were no critters that bothered us. The bathroom was very clean and very spacious; it even has a bidet. The second floor is very spacious and upon waking, you can go out to the terrace and you have a beautiful view of the beach!

I can’t say there was anything that I didn’t like. I loved it there. It is a bit of a walk to the center of town, maybe 15 - 20 minutes or so, just an fyi. The walk is easy and not scary at all, since it is right along the beach and there are pathways, so it’s impossible to get lost. Sabrina and Dario were very nice and offered to drive us to the center of town. There are also motorcycles that can bring you to the center of town that pass by, so you can always flag one down while you’re walking.

When making our reservation for Villa La Caleta we thought we were renting a relatively inexpensive room in a guest house in the town of Las Galeras. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find a really nice beach front accommodation in a villa about 2km to the east of Las Galeras. Sabrina, the owner of Villa La Caleta, is very welcoming and helpful without being intrusive or pushy. It was nice to get Sabrina's advice and assistance while getting to know the Las Galeras area. Be sure to check out the nearby blow hole and the cliff top El Cabito restaurant. In addition to a bedroom and bathroom our villa was set up with a kitchen, dining room table and living room which could easily support a family gathering or extended stay. Since the beaches and countryside in the area surrounding Las Galeras are the prime attraction of this region some form of motorized transport will probably be required for part of your visit. We are eagerly looking forward to a return visit to the Las Galeras area including another stay at Villa La Caleta.

The villa is run by a very nice Italian couple, Sabrina and Dario. I mostly dealt with Sabrina, who was very kind and helpful. She answered any questions I had, arranged a whale sighting tour, and had groceries delivered to me. The villa itself was spacious and cozy, in a secluded area near the coast. It's the perfect getaway, as they say. The villa was reasonably priced, and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a quiet respite.

The owners, sabrina and dario, are so helpful, and super nice! It's so lovely and quiet, you just hear waves and occasional morning rain. They have two little houses, I stayed in one that has a large living area and kitchen, with two bedrooms in it (though I was the only one there). The cottage next door appeared to have two separate accommodations, both very cute--i had a glimpse into one of them and it seemed very charming. Here's an important technical note: though the description on booking.com says no internet, they do have wifi! it's a beautiful location, a bit out of town and on a road with only one other residence. there is a tiny strip of beach at the end of the road, to rocky for swimming, but fine for sitting and looking at the sea or catching some sun alone (i would go there in the mornings to do yoga). a 5 minute walk brings you to a small nice beach in front of the only resort in las galeras; don't worry though, most of the resort crowd stays right in their sun chairs near the bar, so it doesn't seem to get crowded at all. another 10-15 walk along the beach will bring you to the town of las galeras, where you can get groceries to stock your kitchen (though dario will drive you in to town when possible, which helps if you're lugging water etc!), eat out, arrange tours, etc. etc. here's another amazing secret about la caleta, because of it's location it's pretty easy to walk to playa madame, a lovely secluded beach that most people pay to take a 1 hour boat tour to. it's actually the same distance as walking to playa playita, which everyone will tell you is the "convenient" beach, with a way better payout at the end of the hike!

There was nothing I didn't like about villa la caleta! But there were a couple of suggestions I meant to offer, but forgot to before leaving: it would be nice to have umbrellas and flashlights in the cottages for guest's use. Also, if they had bicycles available for rental that would be amazing!! :)

My husband and I LOVED our staying at Villa Caleta. Villa was clean and comfortable. It has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room and terrace where we spent our evenings. The location is great. It is not located in the centre of Las Galeras so it is very peaceful during the night. All you can hear are the ocean waves. Sabrina, the owner is great and she really tries to help you in any way that she can. If you are going to Las Galeras, I would really recommend you to stay at Villa Caleta.

I came to Villa La Caleta for a few days but I loved it so much I never left I ended up spending the rest of my trip in the Dominican Republic with them. Sabrina and Dario are so welcomeing, the villas are beautiful and waking up to the sea is something special.

Having to leave.....

The location was beautiful but also a little hard to get to. Which was great because the resort nearby looked like a tourist trap from a horror movie (lots of rich gringos). Expect a dirt road there that will make experienced motocochons a little bit to navigate. Beautiful walk along the beach and if you cut through the resort, only a twenty minute walk to the boats to Playa Rincon. Hosts were extremely nice and very gracious.

The Villa has 2 rooms and it's very comfortable, clean and cozy. Perfect for a quiet and romantic stay. It's right by the beach and you can walk to the town from the beach. It has a nice living room and kitchen. It really has everything you need. The owners are a lovely couple from Italy and are extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this Villa to anyone, especially families and couples. It is ideal for long stays.

Right at the coastline, Villa La Caleta is the right place to be exploring the peninsula and Bay of Samana. The owners are guest-friendly and open- minded - as it suites for any vacation. Enjoying the sea-view and palm trees in front of the porch of your own private villa,at walking distance from town, what more does a person need.

A great atmosphere and boating opportunities to snorkel, playa fronton and rincon, and whale watching

Sabrina and Dario go an extra 1000 miles to help you, they are very friendly, and they know the area well. It's a great secluded spot but not too far from the village.

Villa La Caleta находится в отдаленном (10мин езды на мотоконче) от центра деревушки Лас Галерас! Очень уютное место, с видом на океан, в пальмовой роще! Релакс!!! Романтика!!! Хозяева, Сабрина и Дарио очень гостеприимные, внимательные, аккуратные, интеллигентные, интересные молодые люди!!! Пляж-восхитительные, с бело-розовым песком, лазурная вода в океане , в этом месте- это просто большой бассейн! Плавать можно-всегда, не зависимо, есть шторм или нет, здесь спокойно всегда!!! Думаю, что удобно очень с детьми сюда приехать, безопасно и спокойно! И, что хорошо, здесь нет комаров, Ибо , в районе Сосуа-Кабарете комары просто атакуют!!!Нууу, про домики что хочу сказать- все что надо для жизни- все есть, чисто, уютно, комфорто!!!! Надеюсь вернуться в Villa La Caleta , в следующем году с племянниками и сестрой!!!!

Die Gastgeber sind ganz grosse Klasse. Sie helfen einem wo immer es geht. Die Raume sind grosszuegig und sauber. Das Meer ist nur ein paar Schritte entfernt. Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen!!!

Die Unterkunft war wunderschön mitten in der Natur gelegen. Umgeben von Palmen, Pferden Strand und Meer. Unsere Gastgeberin Sabrina war super nett und zuvorkommend sie machte es einem leicht sich wirklich willkommen und wie zu Hause zu fuehlen .

Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Nettes kleines Haus mit Meerblick etwas außerhalb der Ortschaft gelegen (ca. 20min zu Fuß). Wir haben von Sabrina für die Dauer unseres Aufenthaltes kostenlos ein kleines Motorrad geliehen bekommen. Alles war zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit, wir können die Villa La Caleta nur jedem Empfehlen.
