Elena the owner greets you like family and takes care of you in the same way. It's a great place to rest. It's located in the new town so not in the historical centre but that makes it a bit more chill. A cab ride to the old town is 2$ so no big deal at all! It's close to bank machines and there's a great vegetarian place near by ! Overall - awesome !!
Aleida was so kind and so helpful. For this price, it really is hard to beat. Alieda gave us plenty of privacy and space, but was more than helpful. She even allowed us to leave our bags for a full day after we had checked out. She speaks slowly and has clearly assisted many traveling before. The breakfast was basic and perfect and the location--just removed enough from Gringolandia-was ideal. One of the best places we stayed on our trip.
i felt welcome as soon as i set foot in the front garden
the showers werent consistently hot
We stayed with a 9 months baby and Elena (Hostal's adm.) was very kind with everything we need.
She was really sweet, she came out to make sure the cab driver didn't overcharge me
Very welcoming and friendly, no English spoken but still goes out of way to make you welcome. Really nice chilled atmosphere, extremely clean and comfortable, would defiantly recommend. Also great breakfast.
Elena was the sweetest! Fantastic service, tasty breakfast.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean comfortable rooms
Hot water can only be used from 7-9 in the both the morning and night, while it is advertised that 24 hour hot water
Lady manager/owner was exceptional pero posible mas inglese = mejor.
Todos muy bien
Acceptable location and value. Wifi was good. The owner is very friendly and helpful (although doesn't speak any English)
Fairly average hostel, nothing special. Shower did not have very hot water.
Quiet, friendly, and a nice breakfast.
Breakfast was nice
Just an average hostel, common area was not inviting
Safe location, 10—15 mins walk to Mariscal or cheap taxi ride. Elena(?) never seems to stop working and is friendly although she doesn't speak a word of English. Wifi ok. Some good books in the book exchange shelf.
So noisy, the walls are less than paper thin. You can hear everything including the noisy floorboards and anyone watching TV or talking in the common room. Owner's young daughters seemed to be staying over for a few days and took over the common room. Computer is ancient but wifi works ok. Our room had no fresh air - window opens onto internal void area. No social atmosphere. Had to leave due to noise - even though there were only a few other guests! Would be worse when full.
Elena the owner is GREAT Location makes it easy to reach Plaza Foch and Colonial Historic District and to business areas.
Wish more fruit was available for breakfast.
