Hidden in the Amazonian Rainforest, Banana Lodge is situated directly on the tropical Misahualli Riverside. It offers activity packed 3-day jungle tours and clean rooms with plenty of natural light. Guests can enjoy a trek through the jungle to visit the kichwa community, where they will cook indigenous food and watch folkloric dancers. They will also canoe ride on Napo River and visit the butterfly farm. Rooms at Banana Lodge have ample windows and practical tiled floors. All are equipped with en suite bathrooms and guests can make use of the free on site parking. An American breakfast with fresh bread rolls, natural juices and jams is served daily. Guests can use the barbecue facilities or relax with a beverage in front of the cosy fireplace. Perfect location! Not too far from the village to reach it walking in 10 minutes and isolated from its routine. You can stay in the nature, listen to the river and insects at night. The air is full of blossoming flowers and special sweet jungle aroma. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a big and very comfortable bed. We slept like children. The owners are very friendly and Anna speaks english what was very important for us. They helped to arrange a jungle canoe tour and a shamanic cleaning (it was one of the goals of our trip to Ecuador). Banana Lodge is one of the best places in Ecuador we stayed during our month trip and we enjoyed every moment of being there. We were also happy to find free internet Wi-Fi and a very good breakfast.

1) Best location: right at a beautiful bend of the river with direct access for a refreshing swim... No view of anything but the nature at front: paradise! 2) hosts were the nicest two people we met in ecuador; also very knowledgeable about anything you can do in misahualli and we booked a jungle trip with them directly (cheaper and better value for money than providers in town) Not really an issue... But for food you had to go town and there were no nearby shops to buy daily necessities... It's only a short walk away and it's safe even at night.

Me gusto que esta todo limpio, y si bien las habitaciones son amplias, y las camas muy buenas, El desayuno es muy entretenido, me encanto compartir con los otros huespedes. Tambien muy bueno que tengan Wi-fi Muy buena disposicion de los dueños para orientarte en lo que necesites. El lugar es muy bonito y muy bien mantenido. no tienen mucho confort, como por ejemplo, tv, mala iluminacion, agua fresca para tomar. no hay una sala de star cerrada para los pasajeros, solo una al aire libre, las toallas son demasiado pequeñas y no ponen una para las manos.

Lo mejor es lo calido, simpaticos y dispuestos a hacer la estadia agradable de los dueños Ana y Eduardo. Muy buenos desayunos y excelente ubicacion. Baños super, detalles en las habitaciones y exterior agradables. Muy recomendable!!!

El sitio tiene una ubicación expectacular, junto al rio, rodeado de vegetación, sencillo pero con mucho encanto. El trato personal y oferta todos los servicios. Que todavía no se podía pagar con tarjeta, aunque están tramitando la gestión. Nos hubiera gustado que llegar wifi a las habitaciones.

Great quiet location but walking distance to town. Hostess sets up jungle and other tours - very helpful. Did not clean room or replace towels during stay. Need better towels and wash cloths would be nice.
